JABRIL.MUHAMMAD
A Valuable Blackman Part 8
The Muslims in America are actually a blessing to her, if she but understood
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad saw in Minister Farrakhan that which, to him, was of greater value than “all of the wealth” that is in the earth. This was indicative of the high quality of the character of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the nature and strength of his commitment to the mission he was given. There is not one leader of a large group or nation, who won’t try to prepare for the time when he won’t be among them. However, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was not preparing for his own death–as he prepared for his own departure. He was employed wisdom of the highest kind, which of course he had access to, in the preparation of his Minister.
Again, even if one or a group had all of the wealth that is in the earth, Black people of America could not be raised from where they were, and are, nor placed where God wants and even wills for them to be, unless this particular Black man–Minister Farrakhan–was used as the “instrument” in this process. He was, and is, an absolute necessity in the process of the resurrection of the dead, and for what comes after.
On this third occasion, when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad spoke to his Minister of his value, he also told his Minister that, “As Allah made me to take His place among the people, I am making you to take my place.”
His use of the word “place,” here, was part of a very weighty statement. To tell his Minister that he was making him to take his place, he was saying that he was preparing him for a position regarded as belonging to him. He was lining him up to function in the position occupied by himself. He was putting Minister Farrakhan in the particular situation or circumstance into which Master Fard had put him. He was giving to his Minister his high rank or status, position, situation, station, rank and standing.
Remember what Moses told Aaron in the Holy Qur’an 7:142: “And We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed them with ten, so the appointed time of his Lord was complete forty nights. And Moses said to his brother Aaron: Take my place among my people, and act well and follow not the way of the mischief-makers.”
We will have to return to the significance of the word “nights” later. The thirty and the ten months, however, refer to the forty-year period–from 1935 to 1975–of the first phase of the mission of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The ten months refers the ten-year period of time, 1965 to 1975, during which, in response to a special prayer, God granted the Honorable Elijah Muhammad more time. A term, in which Minister Farrakhan’s preparation could continue so that he could do as he has done from 1977 onward.
On the bottom of page 297 of “Message To The Blackman,” by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, we read: “In the coming years every one of you who is now a disbeliever in Allah and the great brotherhood of Islam will be suffering the punishments that have been mentioned in the above chapters and verses.” The original article, which appeared in the first printing of “Message To The Blackman,” published in 1965, read: “In the next 18 to 24 months every one of you… .” (The italics and bold type are mine).
These omitted words are vital for more than one reason. These words provide insights into several important realities; one of which is their direct relationship to the value of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan, and the light they help to cast on his work today.
These words of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad originally appeared as an article in Muhammad Speaks newspaper in the summer of 1964. He published that which God ordered him to publish. Let us remember that was during the time of a great out-break of hypocrisy within the Nation of Islam.
He gave the warning, which he was ordered by God to give. What was and is not widely known, however, is that one day, following the issue of Muhammad Speaks containing such dreadful news of the coming chastisement of God, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad declared in a lecture in Chicago that he had begged Almighty God for more time to work with us; to save us all. This prayer was made after he was ordered to publish what he did. His prayer was accepted.
Inner Views of The Heart, Mind & Soul |
Did we as a people, appreciate the frightening expression of God’s wrath, especially towards those who viciously attacked His representative, a man whom God Himself honored–the Honorable Elijah Muhammad? Not many of us knew of his prayer for us and of God’s reaction. The recording of that speech was not widely distributed. We just were too ignorant to place the proper value or weight on that speech, as we should have. As, collectively speaking, we were not truly aware of the fuller value of the man who made the speech–the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
So, due to our unnatural condition, (ultimately, due to slavery) many in the Nation entertained doubt or an increased measure of doubt concerning the integrity of the mission and character of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, when God’s wrath was not poured out when many expected. They saw in the fact that this terrible chastisement did not occur, as he wrote it in the Muhammad Speaks, more grounds to hold the holy man in our midst in more contempt than ever. Doubt, as he once said, is the mother of disbelief.
Such people ignored such concepts as written in Ezekiel 35:11, “Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” This is an appeal to Black people in America.
Again, in 9:22, 23 of Romans: “What if God willing to show his wrath, and make his power known, endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy which he had prepared unto glory.”
Those who are deserving of God’s wrath are called the “vessels of wrath.” They are blessed to have in their midst others who are referred to as the vessels of mercy. These vessels of mercy are those on whom God has bestowed His blessings and favors. The latter can be a blessing to the former, if only the former come to see and act better.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has humbly, but clearly stated that the Muslims in America are actually a blessing to her, if she but understood. Sometimes, he said or wrote this to warn America against her wicked plotting against his followers.
Second Peter 3:4 recorded the sentiments of those who scoffed (who showed contempt by derision, ridicule or mockery) who said, or thought in their hearts, “Where is the promise of his coming? …all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
And again, II Peter 3:9-13: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to His word, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
More next issue, Allah willing.
