“The seven heavens and the earth and those in them declare His glory. And there is not a single thing but glorifies Him with His praise, but you do not understand their glorification. Surely He is Forbearing, Forgiving. And when thou recitest the Qur’an, We place between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter a hidden barrier.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 17, verses 44-45

Each day of our 14-day tour and excursion into the heartland of Mexico’s indigenous land and people brought about deeper understanding of our divine roots. It was as though another revelation was being revealed with several newcomers on board, this MXODUS tour joined by many who participated last year brought about a heightened sense of unity and happiness for us all. Everyday it was like being in school in an educational and sharing environment bringing us to a new level of excellence.

We visited many newly explored regions within our schedule, traveling through the state of Veracruz, which included the port city of Veracruz where we commingled with populations of Black, Cuban and other indigenous groups. Everybody had a song, instruments, and a story to tell. To drive along the coastal area of Mexico that meets the Caribbean Sea where blue skies and rich, fertile terrain came into view was very comforting along with the patterns of its varied cultures.

I recalled the tragic story of Cortez landing on the coast of Veracruz with his soldiers in 1519 to conquer the land and its people and bring them to subjection to European power and dominance. The massacre of the Indigenous people of Mexico and Central America has been well chronicled along with the plagues and diseases the Europeans brought. Here in the present moment it appears that the people are trying desperately to forget the past as they step everyday into the present in anticipation of a better world to come in the future. They seemingly were trying to drown out the past and rejoice in the spirit of the living through their singing and dancing, and joyful expression.

We also viewed some of the larger overseas vessels docked in its harbors bringing merchandise from far and distant shores. A beautiful port city at Veracruz beacons to the Caribbean with open hearts and minds. Many African traditions and faces are intermixed and variable, exuding great hospitality and gentle spirits. Following our splendid stopover in the port city of Veracruz, we made our way to the mystical and enigmatic town of Catemaco located along a sacred lake. This place is known as the cradle of the Olmec priests and Mother Culture in the arts of healing with the use of botanical and medicinal plants unlike anywhere else in the world.

The city and the sacred lake are surrounded by tropical rain forests with hot temperatures. We were told many fascinating stories about the power and magic of this place. Some of it was handed down from Olmec traditions and healing Shamans of old. We were also informed of the great cataclysm which occurred in that area some 360,000,000 years ago when a falling meteorite landed in that vicinity producing the present Gulf of Mexico. Stories of UFO contacts and underwater portions of a crystal city lying somewhere beneath its shores have also been cited. There we met an unusual storyteller and guide who introduced us to some of the scientific explorations now taking place under the scrutiny of the United Nations and others who are unearthing new finds in the area.

The lake and shore is rich in mineral waters, natural springs and rich, black mud for body purification and healing. There also exists a beautiful ecological garden, which opens to the public for daily tours. Walking through these nature trails and reserves, we also viewed reproductions of a sweat lodge (called temazcal) and other sculptured representations of Olmec carvings, whose originals are located in nearby sights of Olmec centers and museums in Santiago de Tuala, Tres Zapatos and remote San Lorenza. This same area of Catemaco, Veracruz was chosen as the sights for movie director Mel Gibson’s recent film Apocalyptic.

From the Port of Veracruz, Catemaco and beyond, we were exposed to ever-increasing information and knowledge about its great historical past. Prior to our departure from Catemaco, we were introduced to a scientist by our guide only known as Paul. We participated in a deep and complex dialogue on subjects covering Egypt’s ancient past and connection to the Americas and earth creations and links to the cosmos, and to other worlds of our solar system. We discussed the existence of previous civilizations on our planet such as Atlantis, Lemuria, and Mu producing a complex of worlds that disappeared beneath the seas thousands of years ago. The time has come when the heavens are being opened up and the books are being spread to reveal its truths and secrets as another cycle of history and world civilization is going out and a New World Order or New Jerusalem is descending to take its place.

“And they say: When we are bones and decayed particles, shall we then be raised up as a new creation? Say: Be stones or iron, Or some other creature of those which are too hard (to receive life) in your minds! But they will say: Who will return us? Say: He Who created you at first. Still they will shake their heads at thee and say: When will it be? Say: Maybe it has drawn nigh. On the day when He will call you forth, then will you obey Him, giving Him praise, and you will think that you tarried but a little (while).”  -Holy Qur’an, Surah 17, verses 49-52
