The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan taught on the value of history in his study guides, in ways that foster our spiritual development. He does not only state the value of the study of history, but he specifically points out the superior value of the study of the history of Allah’s prophets.

If you begin to study Allah’s prophets, from Allah’s all-encompassing view, you’ll be introduced to wisdom omitted from the education of the majority of the people of America. Moreover, such a study today can take us far beyond the wisdom in the study of the prophets, onwards to, and into, that body of knowledge that was not to be revealed until this day and time.

In the course of presenting his overall message, Minister Farrakhan has and continues to take us into that wisdom that was previously unknown, until it was taught to his teacher, except for the wisest of the wise, until today.

God chooses men and women for His great purposes, who never become great in their own eyes. He always looks upon the quality of the heart of His chosen, never the externals, except that it’s relevant to His purposes. Additionally, He always chooses those whom He can use to help others.

Today, those who are candidates for His Kingdom will prove to be the humble ones, who have no importance in their own eyes, but who are very important in His eyes. The Almighty does not want “importance” among us. What is the meaning of “importance” here? Generally, it means “to assume more status, significance, or value than is actually due.”

There is the profoundest benefit in this principle for us, as humility is an essential quality of those who will share His glory, which is His will, as it’s written.

God is present. It’s His time to rule eternally. The signs or proofs of this fact are universal. Of one sign, it was written that it would produce the spirit of mourning among a certain category of people throughout the earth. It does. It’s the Mother of Planes. It’s in the skies.

Study Minister Farrakhan’s introduction to his study guides. It does not take a rocket scientist to see the valuable–even the crucial–part these study guides have in the overall plans of Master Fard Muhammad.

Of those plans, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said:

“Master Fard Muhammad aims to raise the Lost-Found (so-called Negro) into the knowledge and wisdom–the very .i.;.i.;

“He aims not only to reveal His ideas for the present creation of the universe, but also to give to man the nature and the creative wisdom to produce creative ideas as The Father of Civilization. This is what was prophesied: that God would make man like Himself. He aims to make The Nation of Righteousness, who will rule in the Hereafter, with the potential knowledge of producing and bringing into action, or existence, that which He has been able to produce. We call this ‘ideas.’ He aims to make each one into a god.”

(In the above two paragraphs is part of the basis for my saying that I have never had an original thought in my life.)

Now, before making a brief analysis of the above words of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, let’s reconsider the fact that Minister Farrakhan’s work is pivotal, as well as essential, in the fulfillment of the plans–contained in the words of his teacher–of the aims of Master Fard Muhammad. Furthermore, his study guides constitute an essential instrument of his overall mission. So, we can’t help him, nor our people, or others, if we ignore or half-study and/or misuse or pretend to use this material, humbly called “study guides.”

Minister Farrakhan is continuing the work of his teacher, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who described his work or mission as “the resurrection of the dead.”

On January 10, 1996, I asked Minister Farrakhan a question about his mission and placed his answer in the third edition of “This Is The One.” Since that book is out of print, I’m placing the full text of his statement at www.writtentestimony.com. Subscribe, download and study it. I hope to make it a part of a series for this column.

A small, but important, part of his statement was:

“So the master, [the Honorable Elijah Muhammad] when he leaves, and later with his fully developed understanding of the depth and the breadth of his mission, he can now guide the servant [Minister Farrakhan] who works in the expanded aspects of the mission, to help him in an expanded way. Thus, his work compliments the initial work that was done by the master.”

(In these few words you have a way, or a key, to enter the true understanding of the New Testament, or the whole of the scriptures.)

Now, despite the efforts of those who seek to prevent the success of this work; despite misunderstandings; despite the hardships; despite all of the problems involved, the resurrection of the dead is proceeding exactly as He Who started it intended that it should proceed.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has said that the most difficult of all teachings and training involves the spiritual development of others. This is especially so of those who ignorantly fight you every step of the way to their own liberation. Nevertheless, that was the assignment given to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and this work continues in the assignment given to Minister Farrakhan.

It’s hard to help us recognize, and then cooperate, in the process of ridding ourselves of those no good qualities of head and heart (the legacy of slavery) that work against the very teachings and training, which is the only means of producing our spiritual development.

Nevertheless, the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, as taught by Minister Farrakhan, is effective and is as scientific now as it was when his teacher taught it years ago. This applies to what he taught about our not being able to enter the mind of God with evil emotions. None can enter God’s mind and truly begin to see and feel as Allah does laden [down] with evil emotions that do not allow such spiritual development and rise into our divine self. There is a seeming exception to this, to be explained next issue, Allah willing.

In my humble view, the most unselfish Being–ever–is Master Fard Muhammad. This is significant for the type of people He is producing for His kingdom, the models for which are the two Messiahs.

My concluding word on the subject of “As-Salaam Alaikum” is this. The quality of our offer of the greetings to others is an indication of the degree of our spiritual health and development. If what was presented in this column on this subject, from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan, has helped anyone, all praises are due to Allah and I’m grateful.

More next issue, Allah willing.
