MAYFIELD, Ky.—Recovery and cleanup efforts are underway in parts of the Midwest and South in the aftermath of deadly tornadoes that left a path of death and destruction. At Final Call presstime there were reports of dozens of deaths and rescuers were searching for additional people that had not been located. There was more than a dozen confirmed deaths in Arkansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee, but those numbers were expected to rise.

Kentucky residents could be without heat, water or electricity in frigid temperatures for weeks or longer, state officials warned on Dec. 13. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has warned that his state’s death toll alone could exceed 100. “I’ve never seen a warzone that looks like this,” the governor stated in a Dec. 12 television interview.

Experts say one of the twisters likely broke a nearly 100-year-old record for how long a tornado stayed on the ground in a path of destruction. Kentucky was the worst-hit state by far in an unusual mid-December swarm of twisters across the Midwest and the South that leveled entire communities.

Missouri officials are continuing to assess the damage caused by tornadoes that killed at least two people in that state. State officials are working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to get aid out to affected communities. Search efforts at an Amazon facility in Illinois where at least six people were killed in a tornado were expected to take several days, but authorities said they did not expect to find additional survivors.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, prophesized that America is surrounded with the Judgement of Allah (God) and that God would use the forces of nature to humble America for its genocide and wickedness against Black and Indigenous people.

His National Representative, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, has repeatedly warned “watch the weather.” He further teaches that wickedness is making America suffer and that there are consequences for rejecting repeated divine guidance and warnings from the Messengers of God.

“After repeated Warnings that go unheeded, the problem is getting worse,” the Minister explained during his monumental yearlong online lecture 2013 series, “The Time and What Must Be Done.”

“In the Holy Qur’an, Surah 6 Al-An’am (The Cattle), verse 42, it says:‘And indeed We sent (messengers) to nations before thee then We seized them with distress and affliction that they might humble themselves,’” Min. Farrakhan stated in Part 41.
