Previous Farrakhan The Traveler Articles
I had an experience that provided me with a little more insight into what I already knew a little bit about, while I was yet still in the hospital February, 2007. I began to ponder over the unique power of speech that Allah blessed the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan with. As a result of that experience, I wanted to share it with the followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, under the leadership of Minister Farrakhan.
I am not going to take you through all of the stages, but I am going to try and sum it up in a few sentences in this and in the next article. It’s important to give you the general context.
Last week, I wrote that I wanted to make it clear why I asked the Brothers to write their recollections of what they saw of me while in the hospital as I watched the Minister during Saviours’ Day. They saw that I was hardly able to speak clearly. By then, they may have already known that I could not write one word of anything. I could not make a phone call, etc. But Allah blessed me to be able to think, remember and to observe. I was learning.
Under those circumstances in that state, I thought of the nature and the purpose of the speech Minister Farrakhan was about to make. This condition makes you think.
One of the first factors I thought about was the make-up of both Minister Farrakhan and his teacher–on the spiritual, mental and physical levels. This is a big, big, big subject. As you know there are many people who disbelieve in the reality of anything of which they did not have firsthand experience. I don’t think it is necessary to go into details on this. Nevertheless, I am about to mention a few experiences I had that bear directly on the point I’m making. I shared these experiences with a few others.
They saw a Brother “juiced” over an event, that centered around the Minister and the speech he was delivering, in Detroit, Michigan.
One afternoon in Chicago, August 1957, I was in the home and at the table of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad with 37 other brothers. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was answering questions. A brother from Buffalo, New York asked him a question. It was obvious that his question was based on Revelation 5:6, wherein a man was foreseen under the title of a “Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes.”
It was obvious that he was referring directly to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. It was also obvious that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not physically have seven horns and seven eyes. Therefore it was obvious that he wanted to know the meaning.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not begin by saying it means such and such. He began by referring to his experience with Master Fard Muhammad. He spoke about his Teacher teaching him walking down the street, in hotel, in home, in business, in the place of meetings, in cars–wherever they were. He covered the time his teacher taught him until he departed. Then he ended his answer by saying that he had not forgotten one word he was taught.
The writer of the passage of scripture in Revelation 5:6, was referring to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, under the title Lamb. The “eyes” and the “horns” were referring to him having wisdom and power from God. How do we know? He told us the meaning came from God. What God? The God he met.
On many occasions, in interviews or otherwise, he would say that his teacher continued to reveal or speak to him. One day he told me in his backyard that there were several ways that Allah would communicate with him, and that it included through signs. I’ve given testimony that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad fulfills many, many signs and types left by others.
Among my personal experiences listening to him over the years, I heard him make several references to “Aaron.” He did it in several ways. Most of the time I heard him make these references in front of audiences. Twice, I had tapes in which he stated that he would be understood later. Maybe you have these same tapes. Perhaps one of the 37 people who was with me when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said what he said is still alive. By the help of Allah, I will be able to give some more details on what I stated so far.
We are heading to Sunday, October 19, 2008, wherein the dedication of Mosque Maryam will take place and Minister Farrakhan will give the keynote address.
What does the word “dedication” mean in essence? In an average dictionary it means, “the quality of being devoted or committed to something, an act or process of setting something aside for a particular purpose, especially in a ceremony that achieves this.”
On the back page of The Final Call we read: “The Holy Day of Atonement: The 13th anniversary commemoration of the Million Man March.”
I know others see what I see, that this event was prophesied of long ago. And it involves Master Fard Muhammad, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Minister Farrakhan and the work being done on Mosque Maryam. There are signs of this in the scriptures.
I am thankful to be alive to witness this event in any form!
More next issue, Allah willing.
