Black men gather for an evening of fellowship at Muhammad Mosque No. 1 in Detroit on Dec. 30.

Black men from all walks of life, religious and spiritual backgrounds gathered at Muhammad Mosque No. 1 in Detroit for an evening of fellowship, prayer and brotherhood.

The evening was held on December 30. They were invited by Student Minister Troy Muhammad of Mosque No. 1 to close out 2025.

Student Minister Troy thanked Allah (God) and posted a heartfelt expression of gratitude on his Facebook page for the gathering. “I thank Him for the guidance I’ve been blessed to receive from the Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad as taught by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan,” he posted on Dec. 31.

“We called men to pray and share inspiring words. To give thanks to God for bringing us through the past year. Also calling on Him to be present with us in the new year,” he added.

It was a beautiful evening, he noted, thanking Student F.O.I. Captain Sharrief Muhammad and his staff, as well as the ministry staff. “On this night, we called on God!

We gave thanks, atoned and promised to go into the new year with Allah (God) in our hearts and on our mind, using His constant presence to clean ourselves up as well as our community.”
