The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been a target of the United States and Israel. Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, when followers of Ayatollah Khomeini ousted the U.S.-backed Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, America, along with Israel, has targeted the leadership and the people of the Persian nation.
The Islamic Revolution of Iran established a political system as an Islamic theocracy amidst global nation-states. Iran was not willing to accept any foreign control.
Ever since then, America and its staunch ally in the Middle East, Israel, have worked and schemed diligently to topple the republic to once again install a puppet regime that will do the bidding of the West. For decades, Iran has stood up to these attempts at intimidation and interference in which the ultimate aim is regime change.
Israel has tried to pull the U.S. into its plan and goal to attack Iran. The U.S. attacked three of Iran’s nuclear facilities in June of last year, just days after Israel launched attacks in Iran.
During the first few days of 2026, much of the world has been focused on the recent events unfolding in the Western Hemisphere and the aftermath of the U.S. bombing in Caracas, Venezuela, and the Trump administration’s threats and bullying tactics toward other countries in South America and the Caribbean, and rightfully so.

However, once again, the current administration is also threatening Iran. Over the past several weeks, protests have erupted in several cities and areas, including Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz, and regional centers such as Kermanshah, Tabriz, Karaj, Ahvaz, Sanandaj, Izeh, Arak, Dezful, Gorgan, Urmia, and Ardabil.
Unfortunately, there have been fatalities reported. According to reporting by Al Jazeera on Jan. 8, “At least 21 people, including security forces, have been killed since the demonstrations began, according to a tally by the AFP news agency, citing local media and official statements.”
The protests are reportedly driven by anger and frustration over the country’s economic struggles, fueled by rising living costs and the devaluation of its currency.
However, it must not be overlooked that the U.S. has imposed crippling sanctions against Iran since 1979. The impact of these sanctions on the quality of life for the Iranian people cannot be dismissed. The U.S. often imposes sanctions on other governments with the goal of making conditions unlivable for the people.
No government is perfect in the eyes of its citizens. There is no country on Earth that does not have problems and challenges, Iran included. However, what or who is at the root of fostering the dissatisfaction that then leads to bloodshed and brother rising up against brother?
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, wrote on the topic of dissatisfaction in His book, “The Fall of America,” in chapter 25, titled, “America’s Loss of Friendship.”
“America wants everyone to help her bemoan all of her set-backs; but when she causes others to fall … breaks up the countries of other peoples and destroys their independence and freedom, she laughs and prides herself as doing a great thing. She puts her feet upon their economic neck and destroys their independence as a nation.”
In 2018, in President Trump’s first term in office, the U.S. reinstated economic sanctions on Iran after abandoning a nuclear deal. Those sanctions also sparked protests. According to Human Rights Watch:
“At the core of the harmful knock-on effects of renewed U.S. sanctions on Iran is that in practice, these sanctions have largely deterred international banks and firms from participating in commercial or financial transactions with Iran, including for exempted humanitarian transactions, due to the fear of triggering U.S. secondary sanctions on themselves.”
President’s Trump’s “maximum pressure campaign” is designed to strangle Iran’s economy to manufacture dissatisfaction. This same campaign is simultaneously targeting Cuba and Venezuela. (See page 17)
Human Rights Watch also noted, “On several occasions, U.S. officials have indicated that the pain U.S. sanctions are causing for ordinary Iranians is intentional, part of a strategy to compel Iranian citizens to demand their … government to ‘change behavior’—a recipe for collective punishment that infringes on Iranians’ economic rights.”
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has warned Iran about the aim of the U.S. During a trip to Tehran, Iran, he delivered a powerful message on February 10, 2016.
“Whenever America wants to destroy a nation, a people, they must first demonize them and the Zionist-controlled media in America has chosen to demonize Iran. Not because Iran is a demon but the demon is the demonizer,” he said.
He cautioned that an enemy has come among the people with the purpose of exploiting divisions and pitting people against one another.
“We cannot be successful as long as we are divided and the forces of opposition in America are real. There is no mistake about that, they hate the Iranian revolution. They want us to kill each other so that Islam will never fulfill what is written of Islam in the Qur’an.
Allah’s word is not going to fail, but we are failing if we allow the enemy to come among us and then sow seeds of dissension to get us to fight and kill each other,” Minister Farrakhan warned.
“In every country on this Earth, there is dissatisfaction. Dissatisfaction on our planet has reached 100 percent—and as our teacher taught us whenever there is 100 percent dissatisfaction this demands a complete universal change and that change is in progress,” Minister Farrakhan stated.
He also issued words of caution. “In the Islamic Republic of Iran, there is dissatisfaction, but we do not want that dissatisfaction exploited by Shaitan. He wants to come and he has his operatives in Iran, in Saudi Arabia, everywhere we are.
Their aim is to go among the dissatisfied elements in society and inspire them to revolt against order, the government and structure of the nation,” Minister Farrakhan said.
The “hidden hand” of Shaitan (Satan) is not now so hidden as the U.S. government continues fomenting chaos for its own wicked objectives. We have been blessed with two Divine Servants who have given the world revelation as world events unfold.
With so much unrest and dissatisfaction happening in the world, it can become confusing if we do not harken to the voice of reason and warning from Allah (God) in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad and His Christ, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, through Their Servant, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Are we listening?
