Questions remain after U.S. President Donald Trump’s meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Nov. 18.
The two world leaders affirmed and strengthened an economic partnership, with Prince Salman agreeing to invest at least $600 billion but possibly up to $1 trillion in U.S. technology, artificial intelligence, automotive manufacturing, materials and the development of large manufacturing plants.
In exchange, President Trump agreed to sell Saudi Arabia F-35 fighter jets and lift sanctions on Syria. The F-35 is an advanced fighter jet and weapon system manufactured by U.S.-based aerospace company Lockheed Martin. Israel is one of 12 countries that has purchased the jet from the U.S., in addition to seven countries partnered with the U.S. to manufacture the jets.
During a press conference after the closed meeting, President Trump and Crown Prince Salman briefly discussed the Abraham Accords, which are a series of agreements brokered by the U.S. to normalize relations between Israel and Arab nations.
The crown prince expressed interest in being a part of the Abraham Accords but not without first securing the path for a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine.
“So, definitely we believe having a good relationship with all countries is a good thing. And we want to be part of the Abraham Accords, but we want also to be sure that we secure a clear path of (a) two-state solution.
And today we have a healthy discussion with Mr. President that we’re going to work on that to be sure that we can prepare the right situation as soon as possible to have that,” the crown prince responded when asked by a reporter about the Abraham Accords at the press conference.
According to reporting by Axios, things got tense during the closed-door meeting on the topic of Israel and Palestine with the crown prince telling the U.S. president that there is not favorable public opinion among the Saudis about Israel because of Gaza.
The outlet also stated that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and told him that the “the Saudis will get a downgraded version of the F-35.”
Publicly, President Trump and Crown Prince bin Salman did not hold an in-depth discussion on Israel and Palestine or other issues concerning the Middle East. Middle Eastern issues were largely left out of both the press conference and the White House fact sheet summarizing key discussion points, released after the meeting on Nov. 18.
A U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum was held in Washington, D.C., the following day, with expanded discussions on energy, capital, artificial intelligence and technology, biotechnology for health care purposes and aerospace and defense.
Saudi Arabia and the U.S. have a history of trade, with Saudi Arabia serving as a global oil producer and the Arab nation continuously purchasing weapons from the U.S. throughout the years.
As America sells weapons of war in exchange for money, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, warned America that her policies would bring about a war in the Middle East that would trigger the great war, the War of Armageddon.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, has continued to caution Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Middle East about their relations with America.
Minister Farrakhan has issued these divine warnings for decades, including during President Trump’s first term in office.
“President Trump, I don’t know if he has the deepest respect for the ruling family. I know that he has a deepening desire to feed to the Sunni nations extraordinary weapons at a tremendous price.
Every nation should be able to defend itself, defend its territory and defend its air space, but when we are being armed to the teeth and the intention is to protect ourselves from one another, that’s a problem. So, in the United Arab Emirates there’s a problem with Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
There’s a problem with Iran and Saudi Arabia or with the Sunni Arab community there are problems,” the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said in an interview on June 7, 2019, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In his other messages of guidance and warning, Minister Farrakhan questioned President Trump pitting Sunni Muslim nations such as Saudi Arabia against Shia Muslim nations such as Iran and criticized Saudi Arabia and other Muslim nations for buying weapons from America and turning those weapons on fellow Muslims.
“Every time America got in trouble, she would always go to Arabia, to Saudi, to get money; millions of dollars! Now it’s in the billions to buy second-grade weapons from America. Israel has already told America, ‘You can’t make Saudi Arabia have weapons the same as we! We must maintain weapon superiority in this region.’
So, what you are buying are inferior weapons and weapons designed to kill and slaughter each other!” Minister Farrakhan said in a warning to Mecca and the Muslim world via the Ramadan Prayer Line teleconference on June 25, 2017.
“Are you going to fight, Sunni (Muslim), your brother Shia Muslim in Iran? Is this what it’s all about? How can we look to you for guidance? Did not The Prophet say whenever two Muslims quarrel with one another, make peace between them?” Minister Farrakhan questioned.
He added that instead, Saudi Arabia should be setting up a center for conflict resolution among Muslims and placed the responsibility of settling disputes on the scholars of Islam.
In Part 16 of his 2013 lecture series, “The Time and What Must be Done,” Minister Farrakhan warned Saudi Arabia and other nations in the region to “be careful” of America’s so-called friendship and charged America with betraying all of her “friends.”
“Make sure that what you do is just and is in accord with the Will of God! Make sure that your motives are in-line with the Will of God. Or have you become blinded and see yourself as a ‘peace maker’ when in fact you have joined ‘The Chief Mischief-Maker’—but you will say to those under your charge that you are but a ‘peace maker,’” he said.
“When we look at this picture of the head of Satan as he wraps his tail around the entire world: You see that his tail at the end of which is a ‘rattler’ is positioned in the Middle East, in the Arabian Peninsula,” Minister Farrakhan added.
“With its rattler rattling, pointing towards the area of the Middle East that is so troubled at this time! The rattler is vibrating, giving off noise—as it usually does before it makes a strike. What could this mean?”
