BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—An outreach collaboration between the men of Muhammad Mosque No. 69 and Movement Fellowship Church in Birmingham was recently held in the community. The gathering was held July 18 in response to a shooting that took place near the site of the church on June 4. The incident resulted in two fatalities and five injuries.
Student Min. James Muhammad of Mosque No. 69 and Pastor Dr. Chris Erkskie of Movement Fellowship Church desire to work together with others in the community to make their neighborhood a safe and decent place to live. During the July 18 gathering, Student Min. James and Pastor Erksine shared messages of spirituality, responsibility and empowerment with the men present.
