CHICAGO—What happens when you combine, good food, elegance and a community of loving people? You have an oasis of unity and love, the Saviours’ Day Café 2025!

The café was a demonstration of pure elegance as the gymnasium of Muhammad University of Islam on the grounds of The National Center was transformed into a culinary dining experience fit for a highly civilized people.

Student National M.G.T. and G.C.C. Captain Naeemah Muhammad was the visionary behind the Saviours’ Day Café and with the encouragement and support of the rest of the Nation of Islam Shura Executive Council, it became a reality.

“It is so beautiful in here at the café and to be on our own compound. We are at home and the food is great and it’s the M.G.T. cooked food, clean and wholesome,” said Brother Ricardo Muhammad from St. Louis, Missouri

The café was very organized to handle the approximately 550 people being served at any given time throughout the three-day weekend. People were given a pre-order form to complete before they arrived at the 13 registers.

There were over 28 different menu items to choose from including fish sandwiches, vegetarian sandwiches, salad, navy bean soup, pastries, bean dip and much more, including the Supreme Bean Pie. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the jazz music and peaceful atmosphere.

Sister Naeemah was actively engaged every day at the café to ensure everyone had a great experience. She could be seen briskly walking back and forth between the serving line and the kitchen checking with the helpers and bringing what was needed to keep things flowing.

Student Central Region M.G.T. Captain Alice Muhammad, who assisted Sister Naeemah Muhammad in overseeing the cafés operations, said, “I am here to make sure the people are enjoying themselves and the food is prepared and served in a timely manner.”

Everyone from Sister Student First Officer Gina Muhammad and the M.G.T. who served as the cashiers, food servers and cooks, worked diligently and cheerfully making sure the experience was satisfactory.

Huge, beautiful portraits of Master Fard Muhammad, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, adorned the café.

Sister Nazje’ Taylor is from Atlanta, Georgia. She was enjoying her first Supreme Bean Pie, as she scooped the filling from the crust with a plastic spoon. “The Supreme Bean pie is delicious!” she said.  It was also her first time at Saviours’ Day. “This is very welcoming, I love it.” she said.
