JABRIL.MUHAMMAD

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” (Bible, NIV, Matthew 13:45, 46)

“We got rid of that problem non-violently.” Those were the words that a 19-year-old White prostitute heard spoken by a Caucasian big shot in a downtown Phoenix hotel, in one of its large suites during a convention held there in 1975 or 1976. Its name was the Adam Hotel, which has since been demolished, with another built in its place.

She heard what she did. So did Allah.

Let’s go back to the Saviours’ Day speech delivered by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, February 22, 1981. He spoke to an audience of around 3,000 people in a large room in the Auditorium Theater in Chicago. It was during that speech that he announced to that audience, and later to the world, that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was not dead. Not only did he not die a so-called natural death, but he had escaped a death plot by the Power of Allah.

Here is an excerpt from that speech.

“When the Messenger was in that hospital, he was visited and he told the visitor, ‘I expect to be coming out tomor-row.’ That night, they said, his condition took a turn for the worse. In the 2nd Surah of the Holy Qur’an, in the 72nd verse, it says, ‘And when you (almost) killed a man, then you disagreed about it. And Allah was to bring forth that which you were going to hide.’

“The scholars universally agree that this is referring to Jesus, but they don’t know how it fits. They had planned to kill him. Then, they dis-agreed about it af-terwards. Then, Allah was going to bring forth what they were going to hide.

“What is it that they have been hiding for six years? That Elijah Muhammad didn’t lay down in Mercy Hospital and die of no natural cause. What they’re trying to hide, and what Allah is going to bring forth, is that there was a plan in that hospital to murder the Honorable Eli-jah Muhammad, that he would never come out of that hospital again. But, you damnable devils, you planned, and Allah also plans.

“Now, how did you learn this, Brother Farrakhan? Someone in the audience said ‘Good question.’ Doggone right, it’s a good ques-tion. And the answer is even better than the question.

“A Black man, who’s in this audience today, came to me one day as I was teaching in a particular city, and he said, ‘Brother,’ he was very nervous, he said, ‘Brother, I have to talk to you.’ I told the Brother who was there with me, I said I cannot talk to him right now. You talk to him. See what he has to say.

“I got a call from Brother Akbar Muhammad, who said, ‘What he told me, Brother, I think it’s best that you hear him out.’ That man flew from where he was to where I am. Visited my home. Sat down. Very nervous. The life that he lived was not one of these real clean lives.

“There was a woman that he knew–a White woman–who is a prosti-tute. These prostitutes, they follow around certain conventions. And this particular White woman, who’s alive, followed this convention to Phoenix, Arizona. They were having an orgy. Very highly placed Caucasians were involved in this orgy. They had reefer. They had cocaine. After the women had done what they were supposed to do, they began talking. The name of a Muslim leader came up. One of the people talking was a doctor.

“Listen to the words. And when this Muslim leader’s name was men-tioned, they said, ‘We got rid of that problem, non-violently.’ And they all laughed. When the White woman got back to this particu-lar city where the brother was, she asked him, ‘Did any Muslim leader die recently?’ He mentioned Malcolm X. She said, ‘No, that wasn’t the name.’ It didn’t dawn on him, Elijah Muhammad. So he said, ‘Eli-jah Muhammad.’ She said that’s the one. He was so nervous about the knowledge that he had re-ceived because the world had taken it that Elijah Muhammad just laid down and gave up the ghost from a mas-sive congestive heart failure. But what this devil had said in this room in Phoenix was that: ‘We got rid of that problem, non-violently.’”

What made the Honorable Elijah Muhammad a troublesome presence in America? The same thing that makes Minister Farrakhan a troublesome presence today. But there is an addition, which we’ll get to, hopefully next article.

There’s a brief exchange between King Ahab and Elijah that has a bearing on this most critical situation.

“And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah coming, that Ahab said unto him, ‘art thou he that troubleth Israel?’

“And he answered ‘I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thou father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandment of the Lord and thou have followed Baal.” (1King 18:17, 18)

This exchange occurred just before a great showdown, which took place between 450 of Baal’s prophets and Elijah.

At the beginning of the showdown, Elijah said: “And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God.” And all the people answered and said, ‘It is well spoken.’”

That showdown reminds me of another showdown that took place between Moses and Aaron and Pharaoh’s enchanters on the other. That day is called in the Holy Qur’an, “the well known day.” This showdown is described twice in the Holy Qur’an.

Then, here are a few excerpts from them. In Surah 20:56-70, we read that Pharaoh charged Moses with seeking to “turn us out of our land by thy enchantment” and he sought a showdown with Moses.

Moses agreed and said it should be on the “day of the Festival, and let the people be gathered in the early forenoon.”

The results are given in verse 70, wherein we read that “the enchanters fell down prostrate, saying: ‘We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses.’ “

Here are excerpts from Surah 26:34-48.

Pharaoh said to the chiefs around him: “Surely this is a skillful enchanter, who desires to turn you out of your land with his enchantment. What is it then that you counsel?”

Pharaoh’s advisors gave him their advice on how to deal with Moses and Aaron. It was in secret, but not from Allah. Their advice included that he “Give him and his brother respite and send heralds into the cities that they bring to thee every skillful enchanter.”

So, everyone gathered on “a well-known day.” And the enchanters said that “by Pharaoh’s power we shall most surely be victorious.”

Verse 45 states the results: “Then Moses cast down his rod, and lo! it swallowed up their fabrication. And the enchanters were thrown down prostrate–They said: ‘We believe in the Lord of the worlds, the Lord of Moses and Aaron.’”

It’s interesting to read that right after both showdowns–involving Elijah and Baal’s prophets and that of Moses/Aaron and Pharaoh’s prophets–the men of God had to depart. Then, the wicked were destroyed.
