(FinalCall.com)–There have been empires in the past–Rome, Babylon, ancient Egypt to name a few. The United States of America is the latest entrant to this list of notables. But America must be aware of one other thing about the list: The fall of those empires is just as recognized as their reign.
These former empires fell because their leaders became drunk off of their power. They thought they were gods besides Allah (God), and that they could not be brought down. How wrong they were.
When Pharaoh found his magicians practicing another faith, he asked who gave them the authority to worship a god besides himself; Babylonian rulers were so arrogant and wicked that the Bible speaks of handwriting on the wall warning the ruler that his kingdom had been weighed in the balance and found wanting; the British boasted that the sun would never set on their empire.
What does this say to America, the new empire?
America is swaggering now throughout the earth, flexing her muscles seemingly without regard to the considerations of other nations as she acts unilaterally. She senses fear in these nations; fear in the opponent makes the aggressor even more assertive.
Even before moving on Iraq, an aggression that is a criminal act according to international law, President Bush told the world that in the war on terror, “you’re either with us or against us.” There is no middle ground. If your opinion is opposite that of the Bush administration, then you’re against America, is his reasoning.
Then, as Mr. Bush prepared the nation for war, North Korea–after being called part of the “axis of evil” by Mr. Bush–warned that she was re-starting her nuclear program.
To that, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld threatened that America could fight a simultaneous war on two fronts–North Korea and Iraq.
Recently, the Shia’a majority of Iraq sent signals that it would form a theocratic form of government, similar to that of Iran. To that, Mr. Rumsfeld replied: “If you’re suggesting, how would we feel about an Iranian-type government with a few clerics running everything in the country, the answer is: That isn’t going to happen.”
In the divine realm of things, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad warned that Allah (God) would not allow another country to destroy America; He is preserving her for Himself.
“Is America a preserved area?” the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has reiterated in his warnings to this great nation. “The answer is yes. She was raised by Allah (God) and made to be the greatest power on earth that she might either repeat the history of ancient Egypt and Pharaoh that Allah (God) may use her to make Himself known, or that she might turn from her wicked ways and become the basis of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.”
These are grave warnings that require the attention of people at the highest echelons of leadership of this country. If they are just idle words, then the country has nothing to worry about.
But if they forewarn of the destructive fate that past empires have faced, then President Bush stands in the valley of decision: Will America change, or is her fate sealed due to blind arrogance?
