As users of social media, we’ve seen many challenges come to light, but none are quite like the #ReflectingFarrakhan Challenge, a 30-day social media challenge for women of the Nation of Islam. The challenge is underway!

The #ReflectingFarrakhan Challenge shows the unique expression and creative side of being a woman in the Nation, and it gives a glimpse into what it’s like. The challenge began January 28 and will run through February 26, in commemoration of the birth date of Master Fard Muhammad, The Saviour that came to deliver Black people in America out of the clutches of our enemies.

On Facebook over 2,200 have joined the challenge. Several women pointed out that sisterhood is their favorite thing about being a MGT (Muslim Girl in Training).

One highlight we’ve noticed is the 7 Training Units of the all-women’s class of the Nation of Islam: How to keep house, how to take care of your husband, how to rear children, how to sew, how to cook and how to act at home and abroad. The training units were given by Master Fard Muhammad, Allah in Person and the Great Mahdi prophesied of in scripture.

Master Fard Muhammad raised up and taught the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, patriarch of the Nation of Islam. Many sisters expressed joy in having knowledge of themselves as Black Muslim women and the power of femininity under the leadership and Divine Guidance of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

“Allah, God, made the Honorable Louis Farrakhan His Mouthpiece and so what you hear coming from his mouth is from on high,” said Student Minister Kenya Muhammad in remarks during the Nation of Islam Sunday broadcast that streamed Jan. 31. “The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the word that he speaks is that Light of Allah.

He is the trumpet and mouthpiece of God and the enemy desires to keep that word from the people. That’s why brothers and sisters we see them going so hard with the propaganda, pushing it about the Nation of Islam and Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan,” she continued.

The over 60 years of work, sacrifice, dedication and truth of Min. Farrakhan will outlast any lie the enemy can try to hurl at the Muslim leader, the youth minister added.

“They can take down his social media pages, but you will continue to see him in all of those whom he has taught, all of those whom he has saved and given his life to. So I have to take a brief moment to ‘shout out’ the beautiful MGT and GCC, the women of the Nation of Islam,” said Student Min. Kenya as she explained the social media challenge. “The MGT have really been showing out.

Organized by the Student National MGT and GCC Captain Sister Naeemah Muhammad we have begun a new social media challenge called ‘Reflecting Farrakhan” where for the next 30 days and beyond we are using our social media pages to promote Islam through our unique expression. So everyday of the challenge is something different.” Final Call staff contributed to this report.

Editor’s note: A small sampling from thousands of social media posts by Nation of Islam women are shown. Thousands of men, women and children from all walks of life have participated in the challenge.
