JABRIL.MUHAMMAD
I ended my last article with these words: “This is being fulfilled in your eyes today. The Black preacher is becoming a powerful man. You have–and he has–yet to realize how powerful he actually is. What you have seen of him in the past is nothing in contrast to what he has become and is yet coming to be. The Black pastor is well acquainted with the con tents of the Bible. And as Minister Farrakhan’s voice is heard all over the world via the advances in technology; over the web; YouTube and the like, the words of the Bible are jumping up and taking form right in their faces.
Brothers and Sisters, you’d better get ready! It’s our time! It’s the time of our rise! It’s Nation time!
It should be evident by now to anyone who keeps up with the news that something profound is taking place in America. It revolves around the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
Minister Farrakhan’s address will prove to make another turning point in America’s history.
Much of great significance has taken place since I started these series of articles that appeared in this newspaper about two months or so ago. For the purposes of this article, I will narrow the events I have in mind to those pertaining to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, whose works, after all, is the subject of these articles.
First, there was the Saviours’ Day Convention in February 2018. It was powerful. There are very profound issues involved in this entire sit ua tion. I hope to raise and clarify some of them in upcoming arti cles.
I think it is wonderful that America seems to have lined up against Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam. Many white folks–and some Blacks–are blasting him (and us) with a vengeance. What, ultimately, is this all about?
I’ve read articles after articles, pertaining to Minister Louis Farrakhan, appearing in newspapers and magazines all over America and have listened to several radio and television pro grams, 99 percent plus of which were written or conducted by whites.
For the most part, their pattern has been to lie and then re act to their intended victim as if their lie is true. Of course, there are many who believe that the repeated lie on a large scale has the force of truth. I wrote of it in This Is The One.
Now, let’s focus our attention on certain specifics, that will aid the readers of this article, to grasp exactly what is go ing on and what it will lead to. The evidence will show that what is being done against Minister Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam is the worst of crimes and it will backfire. The attack on Minister Louis Farrakhan by the American press and those in whose behalf it speaks, as I wrote is wonderful. I also referred to what I once wrote of the media blitz that began in 1959. To explain what is “won derful” about it, let’s go back a bit.
One of the main differences between 1959 and 2018 is that Black folks have a better, more accurate self-concept now, than then. In my view, of course, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and now the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is the root of this change. We have far less self-contempt and self-mockery than we used to. Here is a little of what I wrote in This Is The One, pages 39 and 40.
“This same spirit of contempt and mockery marked the thinking of almost everything written about us especially since 1959. The writers were white and Black. They represented every sector and every viewpoint of America. It was as though they collectively conspired to destroy the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his followers with their mouths. They worked to produce a climate so hostile that others could do away with us and have the public with them. They did the will of the wickedly wise, who Still seek to harm the Messenger, whether they knew it or not.
“There are many who have since claimed that they did not consciously, nor deliberately conspire to mislead the public re garding the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his followers. These writers and their Black followers–and those whose senti ments they represent–did not have to be in conscious collu sion with one another. They did not actually have to get to gether because the majority of them share the same attitude to wards truth and justice for Black people in America. This atti tude is marked by deceit, envy and indecency, moreover, on the part of the Blacks, as a high degree of ignorance and foolish fear of white people.
“Back in 1959, the white press, as if on signal, launched a furious attack on the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam, fol low ing the dishonest portrayal of us entitled, ‘The Hate That Hate Produced.’ Through such publications as Time, U.S. News and World Report, Newsweek, The Reporter, Esquire, Confidential, True, Sage, and a host of other magazines and newspapers, white America spewed forth a flood of articles both superficial, spurious and poisonous in nature. A few among them did a creditable job, as far as they went. But, the bulk of what was written was insidious and rotten to the core. But it did not hurt us.
“There is plenty of evidence to show that much of the ma te rial was deliberately misleading. There are instances when re porters found interpolations in the text of their stories that were altered, here and there, by their ‘bosses’ so as to misrep resent their findings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his followers. The white people–newscasters, commentators, etc.–have lied in concert. The television newsmen were not, and are not, above editing their films in such manner as to actually tell lies to their viewers. They conspired to deceive the public regard ing the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. This can be proven with ease. Members of a large orchestra do not accidentally play the same tune.
“The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his followers have been lied on by whites for 40 years. Whites lie on us and then react to their lies as though the lies are true, by charging us with being guilty of their lies. They continue their persecution in various ways such as through their brute police force. Their ‘peace’ offi cers have desecrated our places of worship in Los Angeles, California; Monroe, Louisiana; and Newark, New Jersey. This has led to the death of some of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad followers. So to some degree, every one of you who have slandered and libeled the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s and his followers, are responsible for and accountable to Allah for what you have done.”
This book that I wrote came out in December 1970. Please note that this blitz, that lasted several years, did not destroy the Honorable Elijah Muhammad nor the Nation of Islam. And the same is happening today with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. It would not destroy the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan nor the Nation of Islam.
More next issue, Allah willing.
