“To be plagued with too much rain will destroy property and lives. It swells the rivers and creeks. Too much rain floods cities and towns. Large bodies of water at the ocean shore lines will be made to swell with unusually high waves, dumping billions of tons of water over the now seashore line.”—The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad,
“The Fall of America” page 157
“I said again, ‘Watch the weather!’—because God doesn’t fight with your cheap ‘weapons’! God fights with The Forces of Nature: Rain, hail, snow, wind, drought! He uses the insects and the animals, and turns nature against you! You can’t win in a war against God!”
—The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, “Guidance for Our President and Our Nation,” October 14, 2012
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s faithful, consistent divine words of guidance from his teacher, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that Allah (God) would use the forces of nature—hail, rain, snow and earthquakes—to curtail America on all sides have again manifested, most recently in the form of tornadoes and storms that struck the Midwest.
Four people died and two dozen were injured when a supercell, unleashed four twisters in Southwest Michigan on March 6. The Weather Channel defines a supercell as the “king of thunderstorms, disruptor of the Great Plains, is a dangerous weather threat wherever it forms. Tornadoes, flooding, enormous hailstones, damaging winds and lightning are some of the threats that these kings possess.”
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a Category EF2 tornado struck Three Rivers (St. Joseph County) in Michigan with wind speeds up to 130 mph. Less than an hour later, another EF3 tornado (150 mph winds) hit Union City (Branch County), approximately 25-30 miles away. Three of the deaths were reported there.

Twisters also touched down in Edwardsburg in Cass County, claiming one life, and Clarendon Township in Calhoun County. “According to the National Weather Service, it is the deadliest tornado in Michigan since 1980,”
Stated Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who declared a state of emergency on March 8 for Branch, Cass, and St. Joseph counties to assist with response and recovery efforts related to the deadly tornado outbreak.
The north side of Union Lake in Union City was one of the hardest hit areas with numerous homes taking on significant damage and trees sheared off, reported the NWS. Several businesses in the city of Three Rivers also sustained notable damage. Unfortunately, there have been multiple confirmed fatalities and injuries across Lower Michigan.
“The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has repeatedly warned us to ‘Watch the weather!’ The loss of life and property damage caused by the frequency and intensity of these calamities should make us humble and sober,” stated Houston-based Nation of Islam Student Southwest Regional Minister Dr. Abdul Haleem Muhammad, an urban planner.
Meanwhile, 12 tornadoes tore through parts of Oklahoma, according to The Weather Channel.
“Although it was reported that a believers fence was knocked down during the tornado, we thank Allah that none of the believers in Tulsa, Oklahoma, were injured. We must remain vigilant for the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad prophesied in ‘The Fall of America’ that the worst is yet to come!”
On March 10, severe storms brought a threat of more tornadoes, large hail and strong winds to the state, per meteorologists. In all, the first full week of meteorological spring brought a severe weather threat to the Central U.S., with 24 confirmed tornadoes, according to The Weather Channel.
Meanwhile, it reported, there was not much time to recover for some across the central U.S. as another severe weather outbreak also began on March 10 with tornadoes, damaging winds and hail.
The Weather Channel’s latest forecast showed thunderstorms erupting in parts of the Southern Plains and intensifying in the Southern Great Lakes, with hail larger than golf balls falling in parts of Texas and Illinois, including Chicago.
The Weather Channel also reported that a tornado was spotted on the evening of March 10, approximately 7 p.m. CST, south of Kankakee and Aroma Park, Illinois, and produced large hail in Kankakee. That supercell was predicted to pose a tornado threat across northern Indiana, which it did. Four tornadoes struck parts of Northwest Indiana.

“Suspected tornado touchdowns were reported near Pontiac, south of Kankakee, and in the communities of Lake Village and Wheatfield in Indiana,” reported Fox5dc.com.
“Total devastation. There were houses that were collapsed. There were people trapped in houses. There’s livestock loose. Pretty much anything you can imagine you’ve seen before on newscasts, on videos—it’s out there,” said Rob Churchill, Lake Township Volunteer Fire Department, the outlet reported.
“Utility officials said the storms also caused extensive damage to the electrical system in Newton County, including about 70 damaged utility poles, hundreds of downed wires and significant tree damage, leaving thousands of customers without power,” noted Fox5dc.com.
In addition, Dallas-Fort Worth was on alert for severe storms, as well as, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Storm Prediction Center, there were tornado watches from March 10-11 for several areas including:
• Western Texas, including Abilene and San Angelo.
• Southeastern Iowa and far northeastern Missouri, including Peoria, Illinois
• Southeastern Kansas
Meanwhile, a magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck near Coushatta, Louisiana, on March 8, and the same area experienced a stronger magnitude 4.9 earthquake in Red River Parish on March 5, according to Channel 4WWL. It was possibly the strongest inland quake ever recorded in Louisiana, reported multimedia journalist Nigell Moses. The tremor was felt as far as Shreveport, he said.
According to the NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information’s (NCEI), between 1980 and 2024, billion-dollar disaster events that have struck the U.S include: 32 Droughts, 67 Tropical Cyclones, 203 Severe Storms, 23 Wildfires, 45 Flooding events, 24 Winter Storms, and 9 Freezes.
In His book, “The Fall of America,” in the chapter titled, “America Surrounded with The Judgment of Allah,” the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes, “All around the Southern Border of America, storms are raging. There are tornadoes and heavy rains and more storms are on the way–one right after another.
And in the North and Far West and in the East, America is surrounded with the judgments of Allah (God). There are earthquakes and the sea is raging. The Pacific Ocean is now angry and is raging and tossing up great waves as never before.”
Later, in the same chapter, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad states, “The forces of nature are great weapons as we see them in play upon America. Storms after storms of snow and ice are rolling in from the North and are pushing great drifts that are just covering up everything. What can you do with a God like that?”
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad warned that the worst is yet to come and His National Representative, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, explained that during such times, the importance of faith and righteousness to sustain the believer.

During an October 2005 interview with The Final Call entitled, “The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Millions More Movement,” Minister Farrakhan was asked: “When previous disasters have occurred, you have said that it is our righteousness that will allow us to survive the worst that is yet to come. What does this mean?”
Minister Farrakhan responded, “When the death angel came through Egypt, the only thing that caused the death angel to pass over the houses was that the Children of Israel took the blood of the lamb and made a mark like an ‘X’ on the doorpost of their homes. This represents the life of the Messenger, the life of Islam, the life of righteousness that will cause the death angel to pass over us.”
During the interview, Minister Farrakhan continued, adding, “The Honorable Elijah Muhammad actually said, ‘It is your righteousness that shall sustain you.’ That is a big difference from ‘survive.’
‘Sustain you’ means that you may go through something horrific but, through your righteousness, you shall be sustained in faith; you will not weaken. Your righteousness will give you the power to sustain and maintain your faith.
“The Holy Qur’an warns, ‘Be careful of a chastisement that will not afflict those of you exclusively who are unjust.’ So it does not mean, when the chastisement comes, simply because we claim God and are trying to do right that it will not afflict us. The Holy Qur’an says, ‘When a misfortune befalls the Believer, the Believer says, Allah is my Patron and to Him is my eventual return.’”
