The United States has a sordid and ugly history when it comes to its foreign policy dealings and endeavors. Instigating coups or attempted coups, setting up puppet regimes, assassinating leaders, false-flag operations and fomenting division and discord are just a few of the underhanded tactics America has used in its warmongering arsenal over the past several decades.
Often, these moves are presented under the guise of “peacemaking,” “diplomacy,” upholding “democracy” or U.S. “safety,” but nothing could be further from the truth. What makes things worse is that most of the time, U.S. government officials’ versions of events are used to justify their actions.
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, likened America to a giant “serpent” with its tail spread around the nations of the earth.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, exposed the extensive pattern of America’s errant foreign policy and what the country has done to incite, instigate or provoke conflicts during several parts of his 2013 “The Time and What Must Be Done” lecture series.
In part 34, Minister Farrakhan stated, “What is the definition of ‘errant’? It means ‘deviation from the regular or proper course; erring; straying.’ ‘Erring’ means ‘going astray; being in error or wrong.’”
Venezuela is the latest example of U.S. aggression that seems to be leading to growing conflict.
President Donald Trump announced Sept. 2 on his Truth Social platform that the military had carried out a strike on a vessel that had departed the shores of Venezuela, killing 11 people on board.
He also posted a video clip “of a small vessel appearing to explode in flames,” according to the Associated Press. This act of military aggression came just a few days after the U.S. deployed warships, equipped with guided-missile destroyers, to waters off the coast of the South American country in early August.
The president alleges the vessel was being operated by gang members transporting illegal narcotics. Several media outlets have noted that so far, the White House has not provided evidence that the vessel had illegal drugs on board or that those on board were gang members.
“Trump and administration officials have repeatedly blamed the gang for being at the root of the violence and illicit drug dealing that plague some cities.
And the president on Tuesday (Sept. 2) repeated his claim—contradicted by a declassified U.S. intelligence assessment—that Tren de Aragua is operating under Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s control,” noted AP.
Critics argued that the U.S. actions were illegal and that the reported strike did nothing more than provoke conflict. “U.S. officials have yet to cite the legal authority that justified Tuesday’s airstrike on an alleged Venezuelan drug smuggling boat in international waters, as criticism mounts from legal experts,” reported cbc.ca, Canada’s public broadcasting network.
U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) immediately condemned the attack, calling it “lawless and reckless.”
“Congress has not declared war on Venezuela, or Tren de Aragua, and the mere designation of a group as a terrorist organization does not give any President carte blanche to ignore Congress’s clear Constitutional authority on matters of war and peace,” the Somali American lawmaker said in a statement posted on her congressional website.
“From the video posted by the President and Secretary Rubio, it appears that US forces that were recently sent to the region in an escalatory and provocative manner were under no threat from the boat they attacked.
There is no conceivable legal justification for this use of force. Unless compelling evidence emerges that they were acting in self-defense, that makes the strike a clear violation of international law,” her statement continued.
Reuters reported on Sept. 5 that several U.S. warships have been deployed to the Caribbean.
Justsecurity.org, an online independent daily digital law and policy journal noted on Sept. 5 that, “Today, there are reportedly a growing number of military assets in the Caribbean region, including at least three guided missile destroyers, at least one submarine.
And both the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (composed of three warships) as well as the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit with 2,220 Marines.”
America’s history of aggression in other countries cannot and should not be overlooked, nor should its pattern of and penchant for bloodshed and war despite talks of “peace.”
As America expands its military presence in the Caribbean and other parts of the world and continues its pattern of aggression, it would be wise to once again harken unto the voice of a Divine Servant of Allah (God).
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is a servant of Allah (God) and a warner to the nations of the earth, particularly America. He has cautioned several U.S. presidents and administrations, regardless of which political party is in power, that their actions domestically and abroad have grave consequences in the eyes of Allah (God).
“Instead of seeing Farrakhan as a ‘hater of America,’ you should see me in the light of one who loves the land in which I was born, and sees America as the greatest country in the last 6,000 years,” he stated in part 14 of “The Time and What Must Be Done.”
“And, I am warning you because I want to see the country avert the consequences of her evil by encouraging her, in the short time that is left, to really ‘change’—a change that God will believe in!
Not a change that the ignorant believe in, but a ‘change’ that God will know that you really want to save your lives, the lives of your children, and carve out a new future for yourself!” Minister Farrakhan said.
We should all take heed to this warning from a Divine Warner.
