NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C.—The F.O.I. and M.G.T and G.C.C. from the Nation of Islam Muhammad Study Group of Charleston, S.C. recently participated in an outreach effort in their community at the 4th Annual McKinney-Vento Back to School event. The Charleston County School District (CCSD) McKinney-Vento Office hosted the gathering on August 8 at the North Charleston Convention Center.
The gathering focused on supporting unhoused and low-income residents in Charleston County. The brothers and sisters found it extremely rewarding to see the work of Allah (God), as they contributed to the community by giving out school supplies, gently used clothing, hand soap and lotion.
They are looking forward to many more community outreach engagements to come to help their community become a decent and safe place to live as taught by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.—Submitted by Mariquetta X
