The drill competition is always a highlight of Saviours’ Day.
Saviours’ Day 2026 weekend attracted thousands of Muslims and supporters of the Nation of Islam who convened in the city of its founding.
It was a special homecoming as people traveled from around the country and some from outside the United States to commemorate and celebrate the birth anniversary of Allah (God) in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, The Great Mahdi, who was born February 26, 1877, in the holy city of Mecca, Arabia.
Saviours’ Day was held Feb. 19-22 at the Huntington Place convention center in Detroit. What made this Saviours’ Day even more significant and special was that it also fell during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This was the first time this has happened since 1993.
The full and action-packed weekend included a National Laborers’ meeting hosted by the Nation of Islam Shura Executive Council, plenary sessions, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan’s Children’s Village, vending, the drill competition, and much more.
