[Editor’s Note: This article was published in Vol. 36 No. 36; and The Final Call will continue to publish articles by our beloved brother and friend, Minister Jabril Muhammad.]
Minister Farrakhan’s work and success demonstrates the truth of the Bible and the Holy Qur’an—both of which are instruments of God. In these days of the resurrection of the dead and the judgment of this world, God gave the same divine instruments, to both the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. This was foreshadowed, for example, in the history of Moses and Aaron. They were both given the same instrument to save their people from their oppressors.
The Bible teaches that God gave the rod—the same rod—to both Moses and Aaron. The Holy Qur’an teaches the same, with additions. In one place it is written that they both were given the same clear book.
“And We gave them both the clear Book.” (Holy Qur’an 37:117)
The former guides the latter in the use of the same divine instrument, which, in the nature of things, is as it should be.
If the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan (who is referred to in the Bible and Holy Qur’an under several names and titles, including Minister) is the fulfillment of the sign left by Paul; then of whom are the rebellious Jews a sign, there in the Book of Acts? Of whom are the Gentiles a sign? How can it be shown that both Peter and Paul are signs of Minister Farrakhan? Why should it be done?
Don’t say that two men who may have been contemporaries of one another, in the past, of one man in the future. Abraham and Lot were contemporaries. They were alive on earth at the same time. Allah made both of them prophets. Allah made both of them signs of one man: the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. (The sign of Lot goes a little beyond that.) Again, why should this have been? Allah made both of them prophets. Allah made both of them signs of one man: the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. (The sign of Lot goes a little beyond that.) Again, why should this have been?
There is nothing in the words of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad or the scriptures that justifies either the partial or the outright rejection of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Nor is there anything of or about Minister Farrakhan, which justifies such rejection.
To deny him is to deny the mercy and grace of God and His Christ; for we are certainly in the time of grace from Allah and we certainly need His mercy. Mercy has been divinely offered through the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Again, to deny him is to make mockery of the concept of repentance. To reject the repentance of another is to fall into the worst kind of hypocrisy.
Why do you think it is put there in the scriptures (Matthew 18:21, 22) that it was Peter who asked Jesus “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times?” Look at the answer that Jesus gave in verse 22. If you know anything about the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the divine love with which he loved, and loves us, (a very ungrateful people) then you can better understand the nature of that answer in verse 22 and the loving and merciful spirit that Allah put in the heart of Minister Farrakhan, as He was preparing him for the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in particular, and us in general.
In verse 22 we read: “Jesus said unto him I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, until seventy times seven.” Verse 23 through verse 34 contains a great lesson, put in a parable by Jesus, which illustrates the principles of verse 22. Jesus concludes the point on this parable, in verse 35, with these words: “So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother their trespasses.”
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not just accidentally, or casually choose, Minister Farrakhan, to sit in his seat in his absence. At a certain point he knew exactly how this great Brother fits into the divine scheme of things, which is wisely laid out in the Bible and the Holy Qur’an.
Consider this carefully: the Holy Qur’an in many places warns us in the strongest terms not to turn back from Islam. For example, chapter 2:217 reads:
“And whoever of you turns back from his religion … these it is whose works go for nothing in this world and the hereafter.”
Then in chapter 47:25, we read:
“Surely those who turn back after guidance is manifest to them, the devil embellishes it for them; and lengthens false hopes for them.”
Some scholars translate the Arabic with these words: “Satan has seduced them, and holds out false promises to them.”
The next verse tells that many people were partial believers. Elsewhere in the Holy Qur’an the Author makes clear that He well recognizes the varying degrees of hypocrisy in people, from tinge to total. Ultimately, as Chapter 47:30, 31 teaches, Allah will manifest this disease, that He calls hypocrisy, for our own benefit, and remove it from Black people forever. This is taught elsewhere in God’s word.
“And if We please, We could show them to thee so that thou shouldst know them by their marks. And certainly thou canst recognize them by the tone of (their) speech. And Allah knows your deeds. And certainly We shall try you, till We know those among you who strive hard, and the steadfast, and manifest your news.”
Now let us move on to 3:84, where we are plainly told that Allah will not accept us in our rebellious state; that we must be submissive to Him and whoever He sets up to bring us to Him. But in the light of all that we have learned from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad; that which is written; and that which is taking place in us, around us, and throughout the earth—this is the essence of what can easily and justly be extracted from that verse. Now let us move on to ponder verses 85-91 of this same 3rd Chapter (or Surah).
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their believing, and (after) they had borne witness that the Messenger was true, and clear arguments had come to them? And Allah guides not the unjust people.
“As for these, their reward is that on them is the curse of Allah and the angels and of men, all together—”
“Abiding therein. Their chastisement shall not be lightened, nor shall they be respited—
“Except those who repent after that and amend, for surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
“Those who disbelieve after their believing, then increase in disbelief, their repentance is not accepted, and these are they that go astray.
“Those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers, the earth full of gold will not be accepted from one of them, though he should offer it as ransom. These it is for whom is a painful chastisement, and they shall have no helpers.
“You cannot attain to righteousness unless you spend out of what you love. And what you spend, Allah surely knows it.”
More next issue, Allah willing.
