CHICAGO—For several guests and supporters, Saviours’ Day 2025 was not only exciting but it was one of the best ones yet. From the various plenary sessions, delicious Muslim cuisine, to the drill competition.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and surprises at the Nation of Islam annual convention. This year’s gathering, which attracted thousands of people, was held on the grounds of Nation of Islam headquarters at The National Center.

“This is the best Saviours’ Day I’ve had thus far. I actually got to have a small interaction with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan at Mother Khadijah Farrakhan’s Children’s Village.

---

I got to shake his hand and just share a couple of words with him,” exclaimed Sister Jalexis X of Mosque No. 32 in Phoenix. The Children’s Village was held at Up Your Alley in Schererville, Indiana, and is always a highlight of Saviours’ Day.

Being able to meet Minister Farrakhan was an unexpected, yet monumental moment, said Sister Jalexis X. “One of the biggest things for me is just seeing his humility and the fact that he took the time, not only to come out.

But also to come to the Children’s Village and then to go through the entire Children’s Village and greet all of us and take the time to one by one, say hi to us and take pictures with us.

It’s like, he doesn’t have to do those things, you know? So, the fact that he did that … and just greeting us all with a smile on his face. It meant the world to me”

Nazirah Muhammad of Mosque No. 1 in Detroit was among the many new converts in the Nation of Islam and celebrated her accomplishment at the 2025 Saviours’ Day Graduation.

The believers gathered for jumu’ah prayer service.

When asked about her journey into Islam, she said, it has been very insightful. “It’s a difference between growing up in the Nation and actually being within the Nation.

I think the experience has been very good for me. The journey has taught me a lot about myself, about my faith, and I’m just ready to be a soldier for Allah (God).”

During the graduation ceremony, Minister Farrakhan was in attendance. “The gift that we [were] given at graduation was seeing Minister Farrakhan.

I was front row in the graduation line, so being in front row and being able to actually see his expression … all the emotions that came with being there, was I was tearing up, and I was crying, so that was very special to me.”

Not only was this Saviours’ Day monumental for the Muslim community of the Nation of Islam, but it also inspired people from all walks of life to fellowship.

Fadi Hasan, a Palestinian American from Chicago, has attended Saviours’ Day since 2009. “Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve always kept up with The Final Call and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s speeches,” he said.

Brother Fadi shared that one of his biggest highlights included the significance of Saviours’ Day being held at The National Center and Mosque Maryam and that this provides a “homey feeling.”

“The speech that the minister gave last year was almost prophetic. Not everyone knew exactly what he was talking about until months later,” he said, referring to Minister Farrakhan’s 2024 Saviours’ Day message titled, “What Does Allah God The Great Mahdi And The Messiah Have To Say About The War In The Middle East?’ delivered in Detroit.

“A lot of his messages were revealed, especially what’s going on with the State of Israel and the Western world where this is the end of this is that portion of what’s going on over there is the end of their world and it’s coming to light as we speak.

So, Minister Farrakhan basically revealed in that speech of what’s to come. Everyone knows tough times are coming, but stay strong, always stay steadfast with Allah (God) and the biggest thing is we need unity more than anything,” Bro. Fadi reflected.

The new M.G.T. and F.O.I. graduates applaud the speakers during the special graduation held each year during Saviours’ Day 2025.

Sister Mariela X of Monroe, Louisiana, shared many insights about her Saviours’ Day weekend. “My walk into the Honorable Elijah Muhammad House Museum was breathtaking,”

She said, speaking about the former home of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad that was purchased and is being rehabbed by businesswoman and entrepreneur Sister Sajdah Wendy Muhammad. “The history is very profound,” she said.

Rapper and record producer Jay Electronica drove to Saviours’ Day in a vehicle from Tepoztlán, Mexico, where he has been living for the past two years. “I drove 40 hours to Arizona, 13 hours to Dallas, 7 hours to New Orleans, and 13 hours to here, and here I stand … . And All Praise Is Due To Allah! It’s Saviours’ Day!”

Student Minister Jamil Muhammad of Mosque No. 6 in Baltimore also enjoyed his Saviours’ Day experience and reflected on the excitement of seeing and greeting the believers.

“That’s what’s happening time and time and time again, as the believers rekindle old relationships, righteous relationships, and they meet the new people and they greet old friends,” said Student Min. Jamil Muhammad. “We’re on our grounds, holy grounds,” he added.

Brother Deric Muhammad of Mosque No. 45 in Houston agreed that having Saviours’ Day on the grounds of The National Center was special. “I felt proud, because I felt like we did Saviours’ Day independently of all outside sources and forces.

We only depended on Allah and ourselves and we took what we had and we made what we had work for us. And, by the help of Allah, it was successful. So, I feel like this Saviours’ Day was a picture of our future.

Sister Oraphon Muhammad, of Mosque No. 15 in Atlanta, has been registered in the Nation of Islam for 34 years.

“It is truly a blessing and an honor to be able to participate in this event because I believe that this—as it’s being expressed all throughout the weekend—is being divinely guided to have us here on the grounds space of Mosque Maryam to experience this and the year and the time that we are living in,” she said.

For Sister Amani Saleem of Mosque No. 47 St. Petersburg, Fla., she told The Final Call, “I loved the experience at the Saviours’ Day Café!” and adding that the setup and food were “phenomenal, very well organized, and the overall environment was very pleasant!”

She also enjoyed M.G.T. Class and the drill competition. “The energy of the sisterhood and the believers was definitely high! … I also loved being able to find and reconnect with the believing family from the different parts of the country that I know! It felt like one big, happy family reunion!”
