CHICAGO—The U.S. Palestinian Community Network-Chicago (USPCN) and supporters gathered in downtown Chicago on October 5 to protest the one-year mark of the Gaza genocide and a “unified Palestinian resistance” to the atrocities inflicted by the Israel Defense Forces.

“Almost 42,000 Palestinians have been killed in the past year, and Israel has also recently been given the green light by the U.S. to expand its war on Lebanon, where it has killed over 1,000 people and displaced more than 1 million from their homes over the last two weeks alone, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health,” said rally organizers in a media release.

Over the past 12 months, USPCN-Chicago stated there have been over 100 mobilizations “to call on the U.S. to stop Israel from committing genocide against the Palestinian people.”

“It’s been a long year, but we have no choice but to continue fighting to stop this genocide and also stop Israel’s expansion of its war on Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq. The regional war we have warned everyone about is happening, and Biden, Harris, and Blinken are complicit,” the release added.—The Final Call
