“The crisis involves what is happening to you, what is happening to me; what is happening to human beings who are more concerned with what they will lose by standing up, rather than standing up and facing the consequence of their stand, knowing that God will bring them out victorious.
“So, the Bible says God was going to ‘open the graves’ of all of those who have been slain under the wicked rule, really, of the Caucasian people. They have killed so many …  But who will pay for the killing of Palestinians, men and women, and children?
Who will pay for the destruction of the Palestinian life and culture, and civilization? … If you could look at their suffering, and it doesn’t move you, you have lost your humanity. … .” -The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan,

Israel’s escalation and murder of Palestinians in the West Bank continues amid futile calls by UN Secretary-General António Guterres for an “immediate cessation” of Israeli action in the occupied Palestinian territory.

According to the Associated Press, “Palestinian health authorities say that the death toll from Israel’s most intensive raid into the occupied West Bank since the start of the Israel-Hamas war has reached at least 20.”

“The Palestinian Health Ministry on Friday (Aug. 30) reported the killing by Israeli forces of ‘an elderly man’ in the city of Jenin, without specifying his age, bringing the total death toll from the military raids in the occupied territory to 20 since late Tuesday.

Israel says it has killed 20 Palestinian militants and arrested 17 others. Hamas has claimed at least 10 of those killed as its fighters.

“The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, or UNRWA, said the Palestinians killed in the West Bank raids included a person with disabilities and a number of children, without specifying how many.

Palestinian health authorities also reported that a Palestinian doctor and two medics tending to patients in Jenin were wounded by Israeli fire.”

“Israeli forces have killed over 663 Palestinians in the West Bank, including at least 150 children, since the start of the Israel-Hamas war. … .”

European Union chief diplomat Josep Borrel said, “Israel’s genuine security concerns cannot justify civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure.”

“The Israeli incursion in Jenin left a trail of destruction and cut off running water, internet and electricity in the city,” the Associated Press reported. Palestinians see the military operation “as a widening of the war in Gaza and an effort to perpetuate Israel’s decades-long military rule over the territory,” added the wire service.

UN News noted this bloody assault is “one of the biggest Israeli Security Forces (ISF) operations in the West Bank in years.”

“The UN office warned that the situation in the Occupied West Bank ‘could worsen dramatically’ if the Israeli military continues to ‘systematically use unlawful lethal force and ignore violence perpetrated by settlers. … Evacuation orders linked to ongoing operations by the Israeli military have led to the outbreaks of multiple preventable diseases, polio included.

“Last week, a 10-month-old baby whose mother raised the alarm when he stopped crawling became the first person to contract polio in the enclave in 25 years,” said UN News Aug. 29.

This is the horror of occupation and the persecution of the Palestinian people and rages on despite so-called peace talks, which will never yield what the Palestinians desire and deserve. The death toll for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza exceeds 40,000 lives taken.

This problem of genocide isn’t going away, despite the work of Zionist groups and tons of money spent to buy leaders and politicians and their unshakable allegiance to Israel.

These efforts aren’t just happening in Israel: The Zionist lobby crushed and silenced the voices of Palestinians at the Democratic Convention in Chicago.

Muslims and Palestinians in Michigan have resolutely declared their demand for an end to the killing of their family members and fellow Believers. They have vowed not to support the Democrats in the 2024 presidential election in a state the Democrats need to win the White House.

Zionist groups are continuing to press colleges and universities to stop any anti-genocide protests on campus. Administrators, professors and students are being bullied into silence and penalties for standing for truth and peace are harsh.

Not to mention how iron-clad support for Israel makes enemies for America around the world. Not to mention that Israeli tactics perfected against the Palestinians are being used against Black folk in America with deadly results. Not to mention that billions spent in Israel will not rebuild our wasted cities or fund any effort to ease Black suffering.

Raising our voices and condemning U.S. government support for genocide is the least we can do in the face of these satanic acts. America has shown it has no humanity. But do we, or will we silently co-sign genocide in our name?
