The prophesied fall of America continues with Hurricane Beryl leaving death and destruction in its wake, and parts of the country baking under extreme heat.

For decades, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, and his National Representative, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, have warned America of the Wrath of Allah (God) and the Four Great Judgments of rain, hail, snow and earthquakes.

Yet, even as the forces of nature continue to pummel America she refuses to repent for her centuries of mistreatment against the Original people of the Earth.

“America knows that her trouble lies in her mistreatment of the Black man, the so-called Negro, but she is too wicked to give up tricking the Negro and deceiving him on false promises. She just cannot stop. The opportunity is too open, and she thinks that there is no one to hinder her,” the Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes in his book, “The Fall of America.”

“But God has chosen us to be His people, and He delights in fighting the enemy. According to the history of the former people, He delighted Himself by going forth against them when they exceeded the limit. So it is with America,” he continues.

“They must be separated. America will not agree to see the Negro separated from her until she has suffered divine punishment, as Pharaoh suffered. The same thing that other evil nations suffered before them is now coming upon this people.”

Hurricane Beryl

When Hurricane Beryl left the Caribbean and Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, it degraded into a tropical storm. But it strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane shortly before hitting the Texas coast in the early morning of July 8, causing heavy rainfall, floods and strong winds in the state.

Tragedy followed closely behind. After claiming the lives of at least 11 people in the Caribbean, along with destroying buildings and power lines in Jamaica, Grenada and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the hurricane killed at least eight people in the U.S.

Though a Category 1 hurricane is the weakest category hurricane, its winds can cause massive damage to infrastructure and power networks. By the evening of July 8, parts of Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas were under a tornado watch for at least 12 hours.

Tropical Weather Texas

Over 2.5 million people in Texas and 33,000 in Louisiana were without power, according to PowerOutage.us. By July 10, about 55,000 people were without power in New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

The city of Galveston in Texas reported that the island experienced substantial wind damage in the form of downed power lines, transformers, trees and other debris. The city provided an estimate of 72 hours to two weeks before power would be fully restored.

In a blog post, Brian McNoldy, senior research associate at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, attributed the hurricane’s strength to the “record-warm water temperatures in the tropical Atlantic.”

He shared that Hurricane Beryl’s Accumulated Cyclone Energy, which is used to measure hurricane activity, was higher than any other year on record by the same date.

“God is at work: You can call it ‘global warming.’ God is able to warm it; He is able to cool it, for He is The Master over all that makes the heat or cooling! He is able to freeze it; He is able to make it liquid. He is in power today,” the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said in Part 53 of his 58-week lecture series delivered in 2013, titled, “The Time and What Must Be Done.”

In a post on X, meteorologist Philip Klotzbach described the hurricane as “the first July hurricane landfall in Texas since Hanna (2020) and the 10th July Texas hurricane landfall on record (since 1851).”

The remnants of the hurricane included thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, flooding, tornadoes and various weather watches in parts of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

The storm may have cost the U.S. upwards of $32 billion, according to estimates by AccuWeather.

Extreme heat

Hurricane Beryl left Texas residents without air conditioning during a time when several parts of the country were experiencing extreme heat. The heat index in Houston surpassed 100 degrees on July 9 and remained in the 90s throughout the week.

As Hurricane Beryl pummeled through Texas; Death Valley, California, experienced a scorching heat wave that left a motorcyclist dead.

Death Valley is one of the hottest places on Earth, and a heat wave made it even hotter. Temperatures of over 120 degrees were recorded in the desert.

By July 9, over 162 million people were under an extreme heat alert, according to HEAT.gov. The most at-risk areas were in the West, in states such as California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Idaho.

By that same day, at least six people died in Oregon, and at least 13 total this year were confirmed dead in Arizona. Both states have been experiencing excessive heat. Record-high temperatures were recorded in Oregon, Nevada, California and North Carolina. There were about 300 heat records set daily on July 5, 6 and 7, according to The Washington Post.

Several cities and states on the East Coast also experienced major heat risks and were issued heat advisories and excessive heat warnings. Among them were South Carolina and Massachusetts. Parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland experienced extreme heat.

Experts with AccuWeather predicted that high heat paired with high humidity levels, on top of moisture from Beryl, would cause thunderstorms, flash flooding and tornadoes in the Northeast.

The blistering heat in the West gave rise to wildfires. In California, firefighters battled at least 18 wildfires on July 9, according to the Associated Press. One was a 41-square mile blaze that was said to be a “volatile combination” of high heat, low humidity and Northwest winds. Another provided residents with a plume of smoke decorating the region. Yet, still, another burned through 150 acres of forest.

As of July 10, there were 76 large active wildfires that burned over 543,000 acres, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. Evacuation orders were in effect for residents near fires in California, Utah, Washington and Arizona.

A Divine Warning

During an end-of-the-year interview for 2016, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan warned America of the Divine Judgment “that has entered America because of her consistent mistreatment of Black people.” As part of that warning, he also gave a weather forecast.

“The forces of nature—rain, hail, snow, earthquakes, wind, sleet, heat, cold—all of this is being brought to bear. Famine is coming to America like no nation has ever seen in fulfilling the prophecies of Jesus and other prophets of both the Bible and Holy Qur’an. This is a serious time,” he said.

In another message, the Minister urged listeners to heed the “signs of distress.”

“Look up above your head. Look at the storms! Look at the tornadoes! Look at the hurricanes! Look at the water! Look at the fire! Look at the wind! Look at (the) freezing cold! God is after us. Men’s hearts are failing them with fear for what they see coming upon the Earth,” he said in Part 10 of his 58-week lecture series, “The Time and What Must Be Done.”

Minister Farrakhan has warned America for years that time is running out for her to repent to Allah (God) and that at a certain point, the warnings will stop, as the Judgment of Allah intensifies.

“You are in the valley of decision. What are you going to do? Are you going to clean up your lives? I’m not asking you if you want to join me. You can if you want to. But if you are in the church, you better make the church right because Judgment is going to begin at the so-called house of God,” he said in a Final Call article titled, “The Divine Destruction of America: Can She Avert It?”

“Wherever you are, you are going to have to clean it up. Whatever we are doing that we know is wrong, we must straighten it out. But if you don’t, it’s on you,” the Minister said.
