The Supreme Court’s recent decision, in Trump v. United States of July 1, 2024, is a further bearing of witness to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s, Saviours’ Day 2020 Message in Detroit, “The Unraveling of a Great Nation.”

In 1993 the Minister published a book entitled “A Torchlight for America,” in it, he commented on America’s difficulty in solving her problems. He declared; “Partisan Politics must die if America is to live.”

He further stated:“Politics has failed because of the corruption of the original purposes and political philosophical principles underpinning the creation of the Government of the United States of America.”

Regarding a myriad of actions taken by then-President Trump, concerning the results of the 2016 election, as charged in a federal indictment, the Supreme Court, declared that a president has absolute immunity when he is exercising his “core constitutional powers.”

To that end, the Supreme Court held that Mr. Trump has absolute immunity from prosecution from his discussions with the Acting Attorney General of the Justice Department to investigate election fraud. The Supreme Court also stated that he has a “presumption of immunity” for his other “official acts.”

What is significant is that the Supreme Court failed to specifically define what other actions, as charged in the federal indictment, constituted “official acts” of a president? Other than ruling that Mr. Trump has absolute immunity from prosecution in his discussions with the Justice Department.

The Supreme Court did not rule on whether the actions of then President Trump on January 6, 2020, had absolute immunity or if the other official acts, had a presumption of immunity, or unofficial acts, for which there is no immunity. The court remanded (sent back) the case to the D.C. Court of Appeals to make those rulings.

The hyper-partisan politics in America has resulted in what the scripture shared by the Minister; as a basis for his message preceding the 2016 election, between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump states. “If Satan cast out Satan, His house is divided against himself; How will his kingdom stand.”

(Matt.: 12:26). Appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court have historically been based on the political views of the President who appointed them. During the Trump administration (2017-2021) he was able to appoint three (3) Supreme Court Associate Justices who he believed would make rulings according to his political and social views.

And this they have done, to the great outcry from the Democratic Party. As a result, there are now six (6) Republican-appointed justices and three (3) Democratic-appointed justices.

Founding father and first U.S. President, George Washington in declining to run for a third term in office, penned a farewell address to the nation in 1796. In his writing, he strongly objected to the creation of political parties, which were beginning to emerge during his time as president, (1789-1797).

President Washington warned about the dangers of political parties: “One of the expedients of Party to acquire influence, within particular districts, is to misrepresent the opinions and aims of other districts.—You cannot shield yourselves too much against the jealousies and heart burnings, which spring from these misrepresentations;—

They tend to render alien to each other those, who ought to be bound together by fraternal affection … These must be chiefly, if not wholly, effects of the unsteadiness and injustice with which a factious spirit has tainted our public administrations.

By a faction, I understand a number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority or a minority of the whole, who are united and actuated by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adversed to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community.”

The recent decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, in Trump v. United States, on the exercise of Presidential power, is not new. Presidents of the United States have historically exercised absolute immunity while engaging in their “official acts” as President, which have included destabilizing and overthrowing governments and leaders around the world, to engaging in planning the assassinations of leaders and those whom they define as terrorists.

And we can’t overlook the actions of Presidents and their administrations targeting citizens in America whom they have falsely labeled as haters and anti-American. This was most demonstrably seen during the FBI’s Counterintelligence (COINTELPRO) Program, (1956-1971), against Black leaders and organizations.

In conclusion, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad wrote in his prophetic book, “The Fall of America,” on page 105; “America is being torn to pieces politically as Pharaoh’s political party was in the days when Jehovah went after the freedom of Israel.” We have entered into this time.

We must follow the guidance of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, as he spoke during Saviours’ Day, 2024, “What Does Allah The Great Mahdi And The Great Messiah Have To Say About The War In The Middle East? “So go on and vote for who you want to, but if I were you, I would vote for God. If I were you, and I am you, I’d vote for The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the God that He represents.”
