CHICAGO—Youth from the city’s South Side took to the streets on June 6 for the 7th annual We March For Her to continue bringing awareness to the problem of missing and murdered Black women and girls. The groups that coordinated and organized the march included:
Good Kids Mad City-Englewood, Mothers Opposed to Violence Everywhere, Southside Together Organizing for Power, Kenwood Oakland Community Organization and the Lugenia Burns Hope Center.
Several Chicago aldermen also participated in the march. Participants and organizers held a news conference before the march calling on police to be more proactive in solving these cases.
