NEW ORLEANS—Muhammad Mosque No. 46, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, has initiated an impactful book giveaway campaign aimed at spreading knowledge and empowerment within the community. Spearheaded by the generosity of a dedicated member of the mosque, who purchased 100 copies of the book “Message to the Blackman in America” by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. This campaign seeks to disseminate valuable literature to those eager for enlightenment.

The dedicated efforts of the Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class (M.G.T. and G.C.C.) and the Fruit of Islam (F.O.I.) of Mosque No. 46 have been instrumental in the successful distribution of these books. The M.G.T. played an integral role by distributing copies during a monthly fish sandwich sale held at a local African American museum. Their commitment to community service and education has helped reach individuals seeking knowledge and enlightenment.

The F.O.I., under the leadership of Student Captain Jason Muhammad, took proactive measures to ensure widespread access to the books. Setting up distribution stations in strategic locations frequented by community members, the F.O.I. ensured that the books reached a diverse audience. “Everyone can play a part in the upliftment of our people, whether you are a financer or one who is willing to go out in the field. I’m happy to have an opportunity to play a part,” stated Brother Dwyane Muhammad, a member of the New Orleans F.O.I.

Alongside the distribution of books, the F.O.I. also disseminated flyers about the defamation lawsuit filed against the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Simon Wiesenthal Center by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam. This legal action was taken in response to their false labeling of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam as anti-Semitic.

Each book distributed by the F.O.I. was affixed with a QR code, providing recipients with access to a curated playlist containing messages by Minister Farrakhan. The book giveaway campaign serves as a testament to the commitment of the mosque and the believers to uplift and empower the community through knowledge, education, and activism.

“We are thankful for the believer who purchased and donated the books. It allowed us to place in the hands [of people] one of the most profound books that contains the Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. We pray that each who received a copy read it as well as scan the QR code to access the lectures by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan that will help to deepen their understanding of what they read,” stated Student Minister Willie Muhammad of Mosque No. 46.
