This world is on the very brink of total destruction. This is universally recognized. This is a frightened truth to everyone who looks at the world’s situation or condition.

Conference after conference; meeting after meeting; both large and small, secret and open, have been and are still being held to prevent what is often called World War III.

The talk on how to prevent this staggering calamity is endless but has not provided any satisfactory solution or answer. The scientists, the learned people, the scholars in every field of knowledge known to this world have not demonstrated that they know the way out of this situation. They only demonstrate confusion.

The fact that the best brains of this world have not found an answer to this awesome situation–that most all of them refer to as a dilemma–does not mean that there is no answer. That answer is the answer or solution to the most awesome problem ever presented to God and man. It’s been overlooked by most.

A major reason that it’s been overlooked is due to the fact that it’s disrespected. Moreover, the ultimate source of this information was not really known by this world. This information was only recently revealed through a man of the most disrespected people on earth.

The man: the Honorable Elijah Muhammad; the people: Black people of America. Again, the fact is that the answer was provided through him. Gradually, however, it has gained more and more respect. This change was begun through the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who departed in 1975.

In varying degrees since then, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s wisdom and work, under divine guidance, have more and more demonstrated how this situation can be changed and yet may be changed, if especially the rulers of America will heed his warnings from God, given to him by his teacher, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who met, was and is being perfectly guided by The Divine Supreme Being.

If one will take the time to compare the history of, let’s say, the past few hundred years–and especially the last 76 years or so to what is written in the Bible and Holy Qur’an, one will find a correspondence between what has happened up to now to what is written that is absolutely stunning.

A growing number of people throughout the earth know this to be true.

We’re in the month of Ramadan. The Holy Qur’an is being read much throughout the world. Muslim Shrines are reading it too. It’s full of wisdom.

Muhammad Ali translated the Holy Qur’an that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was given a copy of by his Teacher, Master Fard Muhammad. Later, He gave him a copy of the Yusuf Ali translation.

In his introduction to his translation of the Holy Qur’an, Muhammad Ali writes in part: “The Holy Qur’an is divided into 114 chapters, each of which is called a surah (2:23). The word surah means literally eminence or high degree, and also any step of a structure, and in the Book itself it is applied to a chapter of the Qur’an either because of its eminence or because each chapter is, as it were, a distinct degree or step in the whole Book, which is thus compared to a structure. … The longer chapters are divided into rukus or sections, each section generally dealing with one subject, the different sections being interrelated. Again, each section contains a number of ayats or verses. The word ayat means, originally, an apparent sign or mark and, in this sense, it comes to mean a miracle, but it also signifies a communication or a message from God and is applied as such to a verse of the Holy Qur’an as well as a revelation or a law.”

An essential part of understanding anything–whether it’s someone’s word, message or overall teachings, or some part of the physical creation, or whatever it may be, it’s vital to make the effort to see how the word, thing, etc., is put together; how its parts are related to its other parts. This is necessary to the process of understanding whatever it is that we’re seeking to understand.

But, as Minister Farrakhan has continually taught, one must also, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6–New International Version).

I am sure there are a great many persons who have asked God for wisdom. But I have only met one man other than the Honorable Elijah Muhammad who told me many years ago that he had asked Almighty God for wisdom. That man was Minister Farrakhan. I mentioned this because, as I was writing this, I thought back to that moment, although I don’t remember the date. It made me think of Solomon’s prayer to God for the same, which directly bears on what I am writing in this and in the next article. It is relevant to Closing The Gap.

This month is also a wonderful time for Muslims to take extra time required to understand more deeply the Word of God. It’s also a time when non-Muslims, or people who are Muslims but don’t know it yet, may seek to understand their neighbors better, in terms of what they believe, what the basis of their actions are, etc.

Minister Farrakhan represents a man who clearly informed us and the world that he had met with God and received a message from Him for us, America and, therefore, the world. In the Holy Qur’an, we can read of a history that compares with this set of current events. It appears in the history of Moses and Aaron. There was a time when Moses was not physically visible among the people. Aaron, according to the Holy Qur’an 20:90, informed and instructed his people, in an increasingly dark hour, in a way that they could understand and, therefore, cope with their trials far better than they could otherwise.

He made exceedingly clearer and clearer to them who their God was to help them become freer from idol worship. He taught them deeper into that which was essential for them to be successful, in becoming godly and to inherit the Promised Land. He respectfully and gently taught them why it was important for them to follow him and obey his orders.

Surah (or Chapter) 20, ayat (or verse) 90 reads in the Muhammad Ali translation: “And Aaron indeed had to said to them before: ‘O my people, you are only tried by it, and surely your Lord is the Beneficent God, so follow me and obey my order.’ “

In many places of the Holy Qur’an, it is referred to as a Book that makes manifests; that explains clearly. That’s what we should expect from God; that He would communicate to people in a manner that they could not fail to understand, except that they will not to understand. This applies to whatever means He uses to communicate with people.

One of the primary characteristics of Aaron was his God-given ability to speak so clearly so as to make things easily seen or understandable. According to the scriptures, God made Aaron as a mouthpiece for Moses, who directly represented God Himself.

More on this vital issue, next issue, Allah willing.
