The men and women of the Nation of Islam strive mightily in their communities in working to make a difference in the lives of the people. These brothers and sisters are known as the Fruit of Islam (F.O.I.) and the Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class (M.G.T. and G.C.C.).
They work to spread the Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad under the guidance, leadership and example of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Whether it is sharing and distributing The Final Call newspaper, teaching from the rostrum at a Muhammad Mosque or Study Group or working in the community, the F.O.I. and M.G.T. in cities around the country can be found giving back.
Recently in Chicago, the F.O.I. participated in a “back to school” parade held at Altgeld Gardens on the city’s South Side. In Grand Rapids, Michigan, the F.O.I. and M.G.T. held a school supply giveaway for community residents. —The Final Call
