“And certainly We have repeated (warnings) in this Qur’an that they may be mindful. And it adds not save to their aversion. Say: If there were with Him gods, as they say, then certainly they would have been able to seek a way to the Lord of the Throne. Glory to Him! and He is highly exalted above what they say!” -Holy Qur’an, Surah 17, verses 41-43
As I begin this second installment of this series as a witness to my Brother, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, it is important for us to view him from the perspective of a prophetic timeline of history. For two consecutive days, July 16-17, leading up to the Minister’s powerful address on Sunday, July 17 at Mosque Maryam, I had opened repeatedly to the very beginning of the chapter in the Holy Qur’an entitled “Joseph.” This Surah is numbered 12 and contains 12 sections and 111 verses.
This Surah is the only complete narrative or story revealed in the Holy Qur’an that focuses fully on the incidences that occurred in the life of a servant of God, given in every detail. Its passages describe Joseph’s trials and tribulations, persecution and ultimate exaltation to a position of eminence, next to that of Pharoah, himself.
›Not only was he raised to eminence, but his parents and his family were raised to an exalted position in the eyes of the Egyptians. To them was granted the richest land in the Nile Delta, referred to as the land of Goshen. This name is given in Genesis of the Bible, where the narrative of Joseph begins with Chapter 37 and ends with Chapter 50.
Many of the scholars interpret the meaning of the chapter on Joseph to be parallel to the life, work and struggle of Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, describing the opposition against him from among his own family members and tribes. They ultimately worked with enemies from outside of the house who sought his life by joining together in a great conspiracy, which caused him to flee Mecca to Medina under a treacherous death plot.
As I opened to this chapter for the second time on Sunday morning, July 17, and attended the lecture of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, he made a reference to the story of Joseph and the wicked plot of his brothers against him. But every time a trap was set for him, God had already prepared his escape.
So it is today with the redeeming work of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, as the chosen helper and defender of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the spiritual resurrection of our nation of people, both in America and throughout the world. He stated that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad had said of him that they will lay many traps for him, but he would not fall into them.
It is interesting to note that, from the date July 17, we count 12 more weeks to the event of the Millions More Movement. July 17 precedes, by two months, September 17, the date that the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan had his vision-like experience in the Mexican village of Tepotzlan. The instructions he received from the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad informed him of war preparations on the part of this government, which is now engulfing our entire planet, including our homeland of America.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan informed us that his vision and the words of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad led him to the 1995 Million Man March and the Atonement message of reconciliation and reconciling our differences based on the A-tone, representing 440 seconds in the expression of music. This number matched the exact number of years that we have been held in bondage in America, 440 years.
Now we stand on the threshold of the Millions More Movement, in which the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has declared that we are literally on a death march concerning the condition of our families, communities and national affairs. He stated in the Millions More Movement brochure that we must seize this moment. “There is no better time or historic occasion than the 10th Anniversary Commemoration of the historic Million Man March to mobilize our people and organize our people nationally, and put systems in place that will permit a successful programmatic thrust to bring to fruition what we envision for ourselves and our people. This is no longer a march; this is a permanent movement with a goal of complete and total liberation for our people.”
“And say to My servants that they speak what is best. Surely the devil sows dissensions among them. The devil is surely an open enemy to man. Your Lord knows you best. He will have mercy on you, if He please, or He will chastise you, if he please. And We have not sent thee as being in charge of them.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 17, verses 53-54
