From Mom & Me- Please!

Turn your Sadness to Joy as I have done! By remembering & celebrating the Wonderful Victorious Life this Good Woman—who happens to be my mother—lived—despite all of the difficulties!

Do you realize she had to endure me practicing on the trombone for many years of insane torture?

I’m personally very tired now from all the caregiving but not at all sad & neither should you be! Your prayers helped & helped a lot! She proved that a good pure life can be lived—even here! That should be a celebration! And not for just a short while—but for 98 years & 11 months!

She fought the good fight—And won!

Mom was not ill or suffering. Never. She was taking no medication for anything. She had no complaints. Like a well-conditioned but exhausted marathon runner who just covered 26 miles—Mom hit the finish line & collapsed in total fatigue. Total rest is required!

Nothing left in the tank. You always know the gauge is low. But you run out of gas all of a sudden! Drift to a halt on the side of the road … Need a tow …

So Mom lived a good full life & I never recall her ever being sad unhappy or depressed. Despite it all! So let us not be that way. Be like her—bright & happy to her dying day.

She died with great grace & dignity—a true queen!

But my Mom also went out joking! Laughing at her own frailty! Laughing at me & with me as we struggled together.

So you laugh through the tears too & be happy with the life you have!

Make the most of it! Like Mom did! You can win the prize too! Like Mom did.
