Recently, on December 7, Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, sat down with the hosts of The Breakfast Club to discuss a variety of issues supposedly of interest to the Black community. The bulk of the program, however, centered around a series of softball questions designed to serve as a platform for Greenblatt to pontificate on issues germane to the so-called uptick in anti-Semitism in America.
The ADL particularly, and the Jewish community generally, has been rocked by a plethora of bad press because of its anti-Black tropes and its defamation of Black sports and entertainment stars.
The head of the ADL began his interview by saying that an innocent Jewish man was lynched in 1915 for a crime Greenblatt said he did not commit. He did not say the man’s name, Leo Frank, or the name of the 13-year-old girl, Mary Phagan, who was brutally raped and murdered. He did not say that Leo Frank, superintendent of the pencil factory where the underaged youth was employed and killed, was the president of the Atlanta B’nai B’rith, the founding organization of the ADL.
And he also did not say that Leo Frank blamed two innocent Black men—Newt Lee, the factory night watchman and James Conley, the company’s janitor—for the horrendous crime. Also, what Greenblatt didn’t say was that the consensus of the researchers who have studied this issue for years is that Frank, and Frank alone, was responsible for the murder.
›Unmentioned was the fact that this case gave the Anti-Defamation League its raison d’être (reason for being). It also spurred a variety of books and articles on the subject. However, the definitive book was written by the Nation of Islam Research Team, “The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews,” Vol. 3, The Lynching of a Guilty Man.
The family of the murder victim has been seeking justice for Mary Phagan for several decades, and in an extraordinary statement they wrote that the Phagan family “appreciates the detail [the] Nation of Islam brought to the case analysis.”
Based on ongoing conversations between the great-niece and namesake of Mary Phagan and the authors of “The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews,” Vol. 3, as written on the back cover of the book, Ms. Phagan said of the NOI book in 2019: “The Nation of Islam volume is the most well-researched book published regarding the rape and murder of little Mary Phagan to date.”
And the noted Jewish writer Ron Unz after reviewing the book on his website unz.com added, “I was tremendously impressed by the quality of the historical analysis.”
It could be concluded that Mr. Greenblatt was obviously tremendously impressed with the book because according to the website leofrank.com, on February 26, 2019, Amazon.com banned the entire Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews book series.
When asked by the show’s host, “Why didn’t Jewish people stand up for the Blacks who were lynched by the hundreds?” Greenblatt’s response was, “I am sure they did … there were many Jews involved in the Civil Rights movement.” Mr. Greenblatt was either ignorant or disingenuous or both. There were not “many Jews” who stood up against lynching or got involved with the Civil Rights movement. From slavery forward, Southern Jews exhibited the same degree of hatred towards Black people as their White Christian counterparts. They supported segregation as much as any other southern Caucasian.
The difference with the Jews, however, was that they sought to control the movement and its direction. The NAACP, the largest Black Civil Rights organization in America, was established by Jews ostensibly to elevate our social, political, and economic status. That was a ruse. It was founded in 1909 by Joel Spingarn, a military intelligence officer, and other elite Jews to spy on Black people (Marcus Garvey, Black Freedom Fighters, etc.) and serve as a control mechanism.
Spingarn used the NAACP to monitor our mail, movement, and activities and reported the same to the federal government. Moreover, he was the architect of a detrimental, anti-economic philosophy called “non-economic liberalism,” whereby the Black man’s “struggle” for civil and political rights “must take precedence over any program of economic advancement.” The control Spingarn and other Jews exercised over the NAACP in 1909 is the same control they seek to exercise over Black people today, but Greenblatt won’t utter a word about that.
In a scathing article in CounterPunch on September 5, 2016 (“Congressional Black Caucus, Deep in the Israeli Lobby’s Pocket”), Jewish writer Jeffrey Blankfort documents the extraordinary control the Jews have over our Black politicians at the local, state and national levels. My assertion based on the ADL’s history is that the ADL would rather publish reports like “The Anti-Semitism of Black Demagogues and Extremists.”
No group of Black people is spared from their racist venom. Black people have been singled out as the most anti-Semitic group in America when in truth they have been the most loyal, sympathetic, and supportive of the Jews—despite the damage they have done to Black people over the past 500 years at least.
Mr. Greenblatt was asked the question about Jewish control of Hollywood and the media. He said, “That’s nuts.” What he didn’t say was that one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, the late Marlon Brando, appearing with Larry King on “Larry King Live” (April 5, 1996) on CNN, said: “Hollywood is run by Jews.” “It is owned by Jews, and they should have a greater sensitivity about the issue of people (Blacks in particular) who are suffering.”
In an article published in the Haaretz/Jewish World (July 26, 2010), outspoken Hollywood director Oliver Stone said that U.S. public opinion was focused on the Holocaust as a result of the “Jewish domination of the media.” Such books as Steven Silbiger’s, The Jewish Phenomenon and Neal Gabler’s An Empire of Their Own: How The Jews Invented Hollywood directly contradict Greenblatt’s attempts at obfuscation of Jewish hegemony.
The Breakfast Club is one of the most popular youth-oriented talk shows. Their appeal to the hip-hop generation is undeniable. That’s one of the reasons the media-savvy director of the ADL chose to appear on the program. However, what Mr. Greenblatt did not mention is the Jewish community’s obsession with silencing the voice of today’s independent-minded Black youth or controlling their thought process. Two events illustrate this point.
Recently, Judith Varnai Shorer, the Israeli consul general in Atlanta, Georgia, said: “The major problem with Israel is the youth generation of the Black community—Black Lives Matter starts there…” Greenblatt then announced on the Breakfast Club that he and the Brooklyn Nets are going to sponsor a series of “community conversations coming off of the Kyrie thing and bring together Black boys and girls and young Jewish boys and girls to get them talking with each other, we will start in Brooklyn and expand to other cities.”
Greenblatt, no doubt is well aware that Biblical researchers acknowledge that racism starts with the depiction of Black people being cursed as perpetual slaves. Moreover, the dehumanization of Black people historically and theologically originated with the Jewish Talmud. It is there that researchers such as Black historian and anthropologist St. Clair Drake (Black Folk Here and There) have discovered racist, heinous depictions of Black people.
Further, Mr. Greenblatt never mentioned the ADL as the largest private spy agency in the country. Back in 1993 it got caught illegally spying on 950 organizations, encompassing more than 12,000 people. Will he tell the youth that among the people that the ADL spied on were the NAACP, SNCC, SCLC, the Nation of Islam, and many, many more?
Will he tell them that the ADL spied on the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.? Will he tell them that the information collected on the Nation of Islam was sold to the apartheid government of South Africa? Will he tell them that the ADL sent its spies into our organizations as agent provocateurs to disrupt, cause chaos and destroy our organizations?
Greenblatt and the ADL will sing the praises of Dr. Martin Luther King. But they will never mention how King’s Jewish supporters became highly critical of him because of his stance against the Vietnam War, a war the Jews supported. It was revealed in Tavis Smiley’s book “Death of a King” that King’s top Jewish backers, namely attorney Stanley Levison and Rabbi Abraham Heschel were highly critical of Dr. King’s antiwar stance. Smiley reveals how King lamented the rise of Jewish nationalism and referred to Israel as “smug” and “unyielding.”
Dr. King was once the darling of the Jewish hierarchy. However, David Weigel in his article in Slate (August 26, 2011), “When Martin Luther King was Hated and Unpopular,” showed how King became reviled when he took his campaign to Chicago and challenged the Jewish landlords for the unfair rents they were charging poor Blacks.
Finally, Mr. Greenblatt will not mention to his audience what New York Times bestselling author, journalist and historian Rick Perlstein wrote in “Nixonland: The Rise of a President and the Fracturing of America,” on page 122, when he stated that the Jews called Dr. Martin Luther King “a dark-skinned Hitler.” Sound familiar?
The head of the ADL boasted that he met with Derrick Johnson of the NAACP, Rashad Robinson of the Color of Change, the Urban League and others. But he strategically never mentioned the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam—the single, most powerful, and influential Black organization in America—even though the Minister has been calling for such dialogue for the past 25 years but has been summarily dismissed.
What is the ADL afraid of, Truth and Candor? The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has dedicated his life as an advocate for freedom, justice, and equality for all people. He has not hidden behind a phalanx of controlled media, political operatives and paid political mouthpieces to present a sanitized image of himself to the world. The same cannot be said of Greenblatt and the leadership of the ADL.
Finally, Mr. Greenblatt will not mention to his audience what New York Times bestselling author, journalist and historian Rick Perlstein wrote in “Nixonland: The Rise of a President and the Fracturing of America,” on page 122, when Dr. Martin Luther King was called “a dark-skinned Hitler.” Sound familiar?
The Minister has not shied away from meeting with other representatives and leaders of the Jewish community. He has met with several delegations of Jewish groups in an attempt to establish lines of communication based on mutual respect and admiration.
Greenblatt skillfully framed his appearance to appeal to a new generation of Black people, a generation unaware of the sordid history of the ADL and its malignant relationship with the Black community for the past 100 years. However, that strategy will not work.
The “Sleeping Lion of Judah” is now Woke.
