“And on the day when He will gather them, and that which they serve besides Allah, He will say: Was it you who led astray these My servants, or did they themselves stray from the path? They will say: Glory be to Thee! It was not beseeming for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee, but Thou didst make them and their fathers to enjoy until they forgot the Reminder, and they became a lost people.” —Holy Qur’an, Surah 25, verses 17-18
Our ancient forefathers were never brought to this land to become equal citizens. We were brought as merchandise to be sold on the slave block to serve the wishes of our former slave masters. This continual mental, physical and spiritual abuse is well documented throughout the entire history of America and her relations with the Black family. We have suffered untold abuse and the worst treatment that humans have ever received throughout the history of the world.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad quotes in “Message to the Black Man” on pages 185-186 the following material printed in a book entitled, “Brown Americans,” by Edwin R. Embree telling the story of laws against education for the so-called Negroes. He quotes a Mr. Henry Berry addressing the Virginia House of Delegates in 1832: “We have as far as possible, closed every avenue by which light may enter the slaves’ mind. (The avenue of the light of Allah you are unable to shut out from coming to us.) If we could extinguish the capacity to see the light, our work would be complete; they would then be on a level with the beast of the field and we should be safe. I am not certain that we would not do it, if we could find out the process and that on the plea of necessity.”
›In our Supreme Wisdom book of Lessons, we read in the first of 13 paragraphs the verification of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s words given to us as instructions from Master W. Fard Muhammad, “Why is Stress made to the Muslims to Copy, the Minister, Elijah Muhammad’s answer? The past History shows that the ALMIGHTY ALLAH sends Prophets and Apostles for the people’s Guide and Example, and through them HIS Mystery was Revealed. And those who follow the Apostle would see the light.” This is why the study of the Divine Mission of Moses and his Brother, Aaron, coming before Pharaoh to plead for his people plays such an important role in understanding the divine judgment of God coming to America in this Hour.
The history of Moses and his people taking deliverance and liberation from Pharaoh plays such a prominent role in both Bible and Holy Qur’an and various aspects of Moses’ history and that of his brother Aaron is repeated more often in the Holy Qur’an than that of any of the other Prophets’ histories. This is so that we may be reminded that far down in the future of the fulfillment of prophesy that another people characterized under the name Israel would be found in the same condition though far worse, on the Western side of our globe. Though it is written in the Holy Qur’an that Muhammad would be spoken to for a second time on the farthest Western horizon, speaking to him in person, which has been fulfilled in the life of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the resurrection of his enslaved people in America.
From the time of Prophet Muhammad’s history and the revelation of the Holy Qur’an, we have come more than 1400 years into the future where our fore parents were forced out of Africa to sojourn in a strange land serving a strange people fulfilling the Prophesy shown to Abraham in the book of Genesis that is now being fulfilled 100 and 1,000 percent in the Western Hemisphere. According to our sacred writings of Lessons for the Supreme Wisdom, we are asked the following question in Lesson No. 1, Question and Answer 6: “Why does the Devil call our people–Africans? To make our people of North America believe that the people on that continent are the only people they have and are all savage. He bought a trading post in the jungle of that continent. The original people live on this continent and they are the ones who strayed away from civilization and are living a jungle life. The original people call this continent–Asia, but the Devils call it, Africa, to try to divide them. He wants us to think that we are all different.”
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad stated that it was actually suicide for the White man to bring us here on a westerly course to enslave our people and bring us into total death (Mentally, physically and spiritually.) What is the solution to the problems facing Black and White in America? The Honorable Elijah Muhammad gives us the answer which states that the solution is a Divine one in which God Himself had to visit America and intervene in our affairs for us to get justice. In point Number 4 of the Muslim Program of Wants and Beliefs, he gives the divine Solution in these words: “We want our people in America whose parents or grandparents were descendants from slaves, to be allowed to establish a separate state or territory of their own–either on this continent or elsewhere. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to provide such land and that the area must be fertile and minerally rich. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to maintain and supply our needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to 25 years–until we are able to produce and supply our own needs.
Since we cannot get along with them in peace and equality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat and blood and receiving in return some of the worst treatment human beings have ever experienced, we believe our contributions to this land and the suffering forced upon us by White America, justifies our demand for complete separation in a state or territory of our own.”
The Muslim Program in its full content of Wants and Beliefs, he advises us should be put before Congress.
“So they will give you the lie in what you say, then you can neither ward off (evil), nor (obtain) help. And whoever among you does wrong, We shall make him taste a great chastisement. And We did not send before thee any messages but they surely ate food and went about in the markets. And We make some of you a trial for others. Will you bear patiently? And thy Lord is ever Seeing.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 25, verses 19-20
