[Editor’s Note: This article is a reprint and was published online on February 9, 2007; and The Final Call will continue to publish articles from our beloved brother and friend, Minister Jabril Muhammad.]

For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. (Amplified Bible Philippians 4:8:8)

In my last article I wrote: “ … The Honorable Elijah Muhammad once observed, that ‘… the Holy Qur’an, nor the Bible, tells us what Jesus and his mother were signs of.’

“This forces two vital questions. One: Why did Allah hold this back? Two: How can we know the answer which He held back from the answer others give? In other words, how can we tell which is His answer once He reveals His answer?

“His answer to the first question is, ‘That is done for protection and to serve as a test between the knowledge of believers and disbelievers in the last days of this world.’ ”

My purpose with my previous and the next few articles is to contribute, by the help of Allah, however small it may be, to the process of unity, initiated and continuously guided by the Great Mahdi (especially as He works through the Messiah and his chief helper, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.)

We must deepen our understanding of God’s truths and His will, as expressed through His servants, in an improved manner that promotes the oneness, among and between us that He has determined.

With respect to this controversial subject of Jesus, we must see that our collective identities were concealed in such a way, in the writing of the Bible and the Holy Qur’an, because Allah had determined that certain truths would and could not be taught to the public until His set time, except for a tiny few—and only then at set times—for the benefit of all.

Consider the combination time locks on the vaults of banks. In the banks are the valuables of the people. The bankers want to protect those valuables. Or they should (smile). So they put locks on the vaults. We must know the right combination to open the vault. We must also know when and exactly how to work the combination. If we don’t work the combination at the right time and in the right way, we cannot open the vault.

Now, we may know the combination. So what? That does not mean that we can get to what is inside the vault before time. So it was with the few. These few knew something of who was coming. They also knew just about when these persons were to appear.

Now, in recent times, as an example, there were a few Caucasians who have demonstrated exceptional knowledge of the Bible. Charles Taze Russell was/is credited with being the founder of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society that is today called The Jehovah Witnesses. Mr. Russell, according to witnesses and his books, predicted the outbreak of World War One to the very year, 40 years before it occurred, based solely on Allah’s blessing on his study of the Bible. Many saw that event as a huge sign of the end of this world. Of course, there were Muslim scholars who did too, based also on Allah’s blessing of their study of the scriptures.

Joseph Franklin (“Judge”) Rutherford was the second president of that religious organization and changed its name, in 1931, to Jehovah’s Witnesses. That, of course, was the same year the Honorable Elijah Muhammad met Master Fard Muhammad. This was not a coincidence.

To this fact, we ought not to add conjecture. There are many facts, to which many have added guesses, to the truth of the facts. Too many of us seem to like to substitute opinion and conjecture for the facts. This is the legacy of slavery that Minister Farrakhan is working to help his teacher rid from us.

Then, such discussions with others, who likewise have no real knowledge of the matter of their discussion, degenerates into angry disputes, that leave the parties with resentful emotions that later escalates into that which is worse.

To be involved in disputing Allah’s truths is condemned in the Holy Qur’an. For example, to quarrel rather than to converse over truths contained in Minister Farrakhan’s words, which are based on the wisdom he learned from his teacher—that is displayed in Closing The Gap, is vain. This is what the scriptures refer to as “strife. “

“Say: (1) Voluntary gifts are for Allah and the Messenger. So keep your duty to Allah and (2) set aright your differences, and (3) obey Allah and His Messenger, if you are believers.” Holy Qur’an (8:1)

One of the meanings of “settle” is: “to put in order; arrange or adjust as; to free (the mind, nerves, stomach, etc.) from disturbance; to reach an agreement; which is the basis of love out of which comes unity and stability.”

Can we do the first and the third order if we don’t do the second?

“And obey Allah and His Messenger and dispute not one with another, lest you get weak-hearted and your power depart … ” (8:46.)

Yet through the teachings taught by Minister Farrakhan (from his teacher) we get “light, life and power,” which means that disputing Allah’s truths is 100 percent against His will and wisdom.

How do children discuss things and settle differences? How do teenagers do the same? How should adults do the same? How should those who consider themselves intelligent do the same? How do the truly wise do the same?

Now, let’s consider that one of the factors in the writing of prophecy involves writing it down in such a way that it cannot be understood until the time set by Allah—the ultimate Author of prophecy. Even then, we can understand it only according to the quality of our hearts, regardless to how smart (intellectually) we may be—this understanding depends on the will and purpose of Almighty God Allah.

In other words, a chief factor in grasping the inner meaning of Allah’s words has to do with the extent to which we are in harmony with Allah’s will.

So the wicked were so distracted at the time of Master Fard Muhammad’s arrival, that before they knew it, He was among us, preparing His servant—Minister Farrakhan’s teacher.

Minister Farrakhan’s teacher had to be protected from his ignorance of himself, then and afterwards, by the power of Allah. Common sense tells us, however, that someone of immense wisdom and power had to be watching over and protecting him. If not, he could not have gotten through America, teaching what he taught, those 40-plus years.

We are all involved in fulfilling a major part of it too, in many ways. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan have taught that another of the prime meanings of the truth of “Jesus” is the rise of Jesus from the dead, which is the rise of justice among the spiritually dead Black people of America. There is so much in this for us and the world to learn.

Be it the will of Allah, we’ll see how and why this holding back of the knowledge of who Jesus and his mother served as signs of and serves as a test, and the relevance of this subject to our very existence. Then, if it pleases Allah, I’d like to move into the roots of Minister Farrakhan’s heart’s desire to help us into the state of “unity.”

More next issue Allah willing.
