On August 31, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan visited in his words, the home of “his brother, friend, and companion in the struggle for Islam” Minister Abdul Allah Muhammad.
The pioneering Nation of Islam minister and stalwart in the effort to rebuild the Nation of Islam with Minister Farrakhan was accompanied by his wife Aishah S. Muhammad; daughters Brinca McMickens, Felicia Coleman-Wright and Sandy Beauford Muhammad.
In the early 1950s, he was known as John Shabazz and became minister of Muhammad Mosque Number 27 in Los Angeles, Calif., under the leadership and teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. In 1983, He stood with Minister Farrakhan to help rebuild the Nation of Islam. During this time the minister changed his name from Minister John Shabazz to Minister Abdul Allah Muhammad, who is well known from his columns written in The Final Call newspaper titled “Eleven Fifty-Five.”
In attendance with the Minister was his wife Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, his daughter Maria Farrakhan, who is Minister Abdul Allah’s god daughter, and son Mustapha Farrakhan. They all expressed sincere love to the entire family of Minister Abdul Allah and gracefully honored him for the many years in the struggle and the friendship to the Farrakhan family.
Before departure, Minister Farrakhan prayed a powerful, encouraging and uplifting prayer that shifted the entire atmosphere. We, the family of Minister Abdul Allah Muhammad are grateful and thankful for the Minister and his family’s visit, prayers and reassurance of Allah’s promise. We are asking the Believers of the Nation of Islam to continue to pray for Minister Abdul Allah Muhammad and family.
