“And among men is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge, and follows every rebellious devil–For him it is written that whoever takes him for a friend, he will lead him astray and conduct him to the chastisement of the burning Fire.”Holy Qur’an, Surah 22, verses 3-4

I began my Sacred Journey of Silence upon the completion of my fifth visit to Mongolia, “The Land of Genghis Khan.” This journey took place during the last week of the Holy Month of Ramadan and ended at the closing celebration of ‘Eid al Fitr’ with the breaking of the fast. Once returning home to Mexico, I began writing this segment of my journey as part of my memoirs on September 1, 2011. In my reading of the Holy Qur’an on that day, I opened to the beginning of the 22nd Surah entitled, “El Hajj: The Pilgrimage,” containing 78 verses. The precise mathematical coding of these numbers and the message contained therein is ever unfolding, helping me to tell my story and begin my memoirs starting from the Central Asian Steppes of Mongolia.

Why did this Sacred Journey of Silence and Pilgrimage take me to Mongolia? What was the purpose of the journey, and why was I accompanied by two M.G.T. Vanguards, one from the west Pacific Coast and the other from the Mid-Atlantic East Coast region, capitol of the U.S.A. from Washington, D.C.? What did we experience on this journey and how does this connect to the rise of the Nation of Islam in the West? Why am I beginning my memoirs from this isolated and seemingly desolate and remote part of our planet? Why is CNN International reporting on television a special week’s programming from this newly-rising Democratic country of Mongolia, bordered by Russia and Siberia to the north and east and China and Kazakhstan to the west and south? What is Mongolia’s emerging prophetic Divine Destiny in the future of the world’s geo-political position, and how might this development parallel the Nation of Islam’s rise in the West? How have my studies and research on Mongolia over the past ten years come about? Is there a Divine Power or Force at play and how does the Nation of Islam fit in this picture?

Mongolia is a small, emerging, nomadic nation of nearly three million people with more horses than people. Mongolia is located in the heart of northeast Asia, approximately, 9,000 miles from the U.S.A. We, the exslave population of America, were identified upon the coming of Master W. Fard Muhammad as “The Lost Nation of Asia” in the Founding of the Nation of Islam in 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. The state of Michigan forms part of the northeast corner of the United States.

In preparation for my journey, I travelled under extremely strained circumstances. I first headed to Chicago as a participant in the Fourth Educational Conference hosted by the Ministry of Education and chaired by the Director of Muhammad University of Islam, Dr. Larry Muhammad. This Conference took place at Mosque Maryam Educational Center and Headquarters of the Nation of Islam. During my opening remarks on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 5th, 6th and, 7th, my words centered around the idea of silence being the path to true education. This idea or thought comes from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s words that his University is a New World and a New Thought. A New World or a New Thought can only come to birth in the silent journey of the soul’s deepest concentration and contemplation of the God within. This Divine Calling in the search for the Knowledge of God and of self brings us to the Ultimate Truth.

The outward and extended journey to this quest is the manifestation or materialization of that thought. The silent meditation and contemplation of the Divine Word defines the course of the journey with the Revelation of God’s Eternal Truth as the objective to achieve. In the 18th Surah of the Holy Qur’an entitled: “The Cave,” we have multiple layered truths being revealed within every word and every verse, letter and number of this chapter which begins in the silence of the cave (symbolizing the womb of creation). It is in this cave of silence where our education begins as it did for the Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him, in the cave of Hira approximately three miles outside of the Holy City of Mecca. Almighty God Allah revealed Himself through the Angel Gabriel, who taught Muhammad the first five verses of the Holy Qur’an. In the cave of darkness, here in the West, God revealed himself in the person of a great master teacher, W. Fard Muhammad and the foundation of our education began.

It is he who is carrying us on an extraordinary journey into the Mind and Thinking of God. In this particular chapter entitled, “The Cave,” Moses and his companion who represent our people who journey to the junction of the Nile River in Africa to meet the Great Master. It is at this junction where the tributaries of this longest river in the world separates into two parts, the Blue Nile and the White Nile. The branch of the Blue Nile moves from Khartoum, Sudan, eastward into Ethiopia, while the White Nile goes further south into Uganda where the head waters of the Nile are produced from Lake Victoria.

During this journey, many events take place in the search for knowledge that tests the character and spirit of the student (followers) from whence the discipline of silence and observation was the key to the mastery of self. If we cannot nurture silence and patience while learning, under whatever circumstance, then we cannot get the benefits of knowledge because our own inflated egos and pride take the place of higher wisdom and we become the losers. At this point, the Wise Master, (God in Person), departs and leaves us alone wandering in blindness and suffering the consequences of our disobedience and impatience in learning the Lessons of Almighty God Allah.

As I sat in the company of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan in two meetings prior to my departure to Mongolia, he extended the most kind and sincere advice and support for my journey. Little did I know what lay ahead in this journey to this remote part of the world. I knew that it was a Divine Calling by God’s Permission regardless to the difficulties that we would face during this critical period of the changeover of worlds. I thank Almighty God Allah for His Great, Divine Blessings and Mercy afforded to me and my two traveling companions, Sister Vanguard Anita Muhammad, Washington, D.C. and Vanguard Vivian Lee Muhammad from the Oakland Bay area. Their testimonies will be printed as part of my memoirs on this Sacred Journey of Silence in the land of Genghis Khan and return to Mongolia.

“O people, if you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small life-germ, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you. And We cause what We please to remain in the wombs till an appointment time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity. And of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after knowledge he knows nothing. And thou seest the earth barren, but when We send down thereon water, it stirs and swells and brings forth a beautiful (growth) of every kind.” —Holy Qur’an, Surah 22, verses 5
