Bible, Obad. 15, “… As thou has done, it shall be done unto thee.” America has done the worst work of deceiving other peoples and making false friendships with them. Now her turn has come. No one wants to trust her for friendship, for she has deceived many nations.

Rev. Ch. 12 (Bible) prophesies of America under the worst names that could be given to a human being: serpent, snake, Satan, devil, and the deceiver of the people of the earth. Therefore, the Black man is warned in Rev. 18:4, “… Come out of her, my people …” This scripture warns the Black man to give up Babylon, which is a symbolic name, meaning America. America has tormented the Black Man. Now a tormentor is after her. The Divine Tormentor says that we should not be partakers of the divine torment coming against America from Allah (God) Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom praises are due forever. This means “separation.” We must separate ourselves from America so that we will be saved from the stroke of the Master, Who Is God Himself. Allah (God) is whipping America with all kinds of calamities.

Those words were written by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, patriarch of the Nation of Islam in his prophetic book, “The Fall of America,” in 1973.

His words could have been written today. Surveys from a major polling organization find faith and respect for America’s leadership has fallen sharply–and so has her level of world friendship.

“Although he has only been in office a few months, Donald Trump’s presidency has had a major impact on how the world sees the United States. Trump and many of his key policies are broadly unpopular around the globe, and ratings for the U.S. have declined steeply in many nations,” reported the Pew Research Center.

Its survey of 37 nations, released June 26, revealed “a median of just 22 percent has confidence in Trump to do the right thing when it comes to international affairs. This stands in contrast to the final years of Barack Obama’s presidency, when a median of 64 percent expressed confidence in Trump’s predecessor to direct America’s role in the world.

“The sharp decline in how much global publics trust the U.S. president on the world stage is especially pronounced among some of America’s closest allies in Europe and Asia, as well as neighboring Mexico and Canada. Across the 37 nations polled, Trump gets higher marks than Obama in only two countries: Russia and Israel.”

The problems with Mr. Trump stem from responses to his character and opposition to his policies. “His plan to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, for example, is opposed by a median of 76 percent across the 37 countries surveyed. Opposition is especially intense in Mexico, where more than nine-in-ten (94 percent) oppose the U.S. government erecting a wall,” pollsters said.

There is a global veto on his threats to abandon international trade and climate agreements as well as disapproval of barring travelers from some Muslim-majority nations entry into the United States. Mr. Trump’s threats to back out of the Iranian nuclear weapons agreement also meets with world disapproval.

And researchers found, “In the eyes of most people surveyed around the world, the White House’s new occupant is arrogant, intolerant and even dangerous.”

What happened to the vaunted and valued America? Nations still desire to be friends with her but as the mask of civility continues to slip, more of Ugly America is exposed and personified by her commander-in-chief. Who could have imagined a president less appealing than George W. Bush with his nefarious War On Terror and warmongering? Yet Mr. Trump has earned the title of “least likely to be popular” on the world scene.

When President Obama opened his first term talking about a new relationship between America and the world, and admitting America has made mistakes and errors, Republicans and others howled in disgust. They accused the president of engaging in an apology tour and bowing to world leaders. Mr. Obama retreated somewhat from much of that language and actually continued with many of the Bush administration’s wrongheaded policies.

America is in trouble. Her unpopular president and his unpopular policies are helping to lead her to ruin. Ironically, the aspects of President Trump’s policies and his personality that the world rejects are the very things that his hardcore supporters love–and he is unlikely to change.

These contrary and antagonistic views mean more discord and an international climate that grows more explosive. The Trump administration has taken to sabre rattling against Syria, North Korea and Iran. But the world is not what it once was and fear of America has waned.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has warned the president and the country that instead of meddling in the Middle East and increasing tension with other nations, America should tread lightly–lest she find herself engulfed in war that will break her power.

Such guidance is extremely valuable at this volatile and dangerous hour–but arrogance led to the downfall of rulers in the past and America seems destined to repeat the prophetic pattern of blind, self-destructive behavior.
