“Truthful God!   By the Qur’an, possessing eminence!   Nay, those who disbelieve are in self-exaltation and opposition.   How many a generation We destroyed before them, then they cried when there was no longer time for escape!   And they wonder that a warner from among themselves has come to them, and the disbelievers say:   This is an enchanter, a liar.”–Holy Qur’an Surah 38, verses 1-4

In the very first days of my return to Mexico from the United States and the island of Bimini, I became intensely ill fighting an extreme allergic reaction to what appears to have been brought on by insect bites called sandflies.   This lowered my immune system with life-threatening symptoms.   I felt as if I had been poisoned.   I had returned from a deeply emotional visit with my younger brother who was ill and fighting a battle with cancer.

My journey began, first, to Chicago on June 19 to celebrate the 50th birthday anniversary of my eldest son, Ishmael Muhammad, in a gathering with family members, laborers and friends.

Following this event, I was scheduled to fly into New York to be with my younger brother, along with my sister, who flew in from Detroit, Michigan.   We found him very frail and in a weakened condition; and he requested of me to bring him bean soup the way that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad had taught us how to prepare it.   He stated that the food in the hospital and in the nursing facility where he was assigned was deplorable along with less than desirable medical support.

I thank the brothers and the sisters from New York who came to our aid and supplied us with home cooked Muslim food and transportation whenever needed.   He began to show great improvement and began eating much better and enjoyed the company of our visits.   When I returned to Chicago, I was scheduled to go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and to the island of Bimini to help host a very special civil rights activist and community organizer, Mrs. Xernona Clayton, who is also an affiliate of CNN Broadcasting in the Urban Sector from Atlanta, Georgia.   She also organized the first meeting of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan with Mr. Ted Turner in his office at CNN headquarters in Atlanta.

Mrs. Clayton is preparing to celebrate her 84th birthday this year with family and friends in the last week of August beginning in Fort Lauderdale which includes a cruise to the island of Bimini.

I was only a few weeks back in Mexico when I received the news of my brother’s passing on July 31st.   I had already been weakened and was struggling with a life threatening condition a few days before.     I had succumbed to a low sugar imbalance, along with the poisonous effects of the insect bites.   I understand more deeply the implication of one standing on the threshold of a death-like transition.   The Holy Qur’an states in Surah 39, verse 42:   “Allah takes (men’s) souls at the time of their death, and those that die not, during their sleep.   Then He withholds those on whom He has passed the decree of death and sends the others back till an appointed term.   Surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.”

I thought over the fact that these combinations of experiences occurred during the month of Ramadan, and that my brother had expired in the same month where one year earlier, I lost my sister, Karlotta.     And her funeral took place on July 8th of last year, which was the exact date when my brother was first admitted to the Harlem Hospital in New York.   It was in the month of July during the last ten nights of Ramadan when I had my near-death experience.   I wondered what all of this could be a sign of?   My mind went to the 33rd Surah of the Holy Qur’an, verse 40, which reads:   “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the prophets.   And Allah is ever Knower of all things.”   Why is the Seal of the prophets revealed in the 33rd Surah, verse 40 within the context of issues pertaining to Prophet Muhammad’s domestic life?   Why is Surah 33 entitled, “The Allies”?   And why are there 33 verses remaining to the end of Surah 33 counting from verse 40?   Is it because at the end of the time of this world would come the Great Mahdi (God in Person) in the early morning of the 7,000th millennium when a great controversy would arise around the birth and advent and identity of this Holy Person relating to his bloodline and his descent from the prophet, who would bear the name, “Muhammad.”

The birth of Master W. Fard Muhammad answers perfectly to this expected One who would come from the East to the West at the end of the world we have known under a disguise.   His father was an Original man and his mother was taken from among the Caucasian people or White Race in the Caucasus Mountains.   The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad describes him as being made from both people, Black and White, to redeem his fallen people who would be found lost in the West and his mission was to return them back to their own God and people.

The Holy Qur’an contains exactly 114 Surahs.   When we pronounce this number, the first sound is 100 followed by 14.   This represents 14 centuries from the time of Prophet Muhammad, May the Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him, and the Revelation of the Holy Qur’an up to the time of the changeover of the Arab calendar from 1,400 years to the beginning of the 15th century Hijrah when the Great Mahdi would make his Appearance.

“Makes he the gods a single God? Surely this is a strange thing.   And the chiefs among them say:   Go and steadily adhere to your gods: surely this is a thing intended.   We never heard of this in the former faith: this is nothing but a forgery.”–Holy Qur’an, Surah 38, verses 5-7
