The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has been warning the American government during his scheduled 52-week lecture series, “The Time and What Must Be Done,” that God would use the forces of nature to bring a divine judgment against her for her ill-treatment of Black people in her midst. And as if from his mouth to God’s ears, did a host of tornados ravage the Midwest.
The latest deadly twister struck in Oklahoma, with the most powerful category, an EF5, ravaging the suburb of Moore May 20.
The 1.3-mile wide tornado with winds of 200-210 mph, killed 24 people (including 10 children), destroyed 13,000 homes, and affected another 33,000.
›Dubbed the “storm of storms” by Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, the tornado drove through a 17-mile path while grounded for 50 minutes.
According to the Oklahoma Insurance Department, insurance claims are expected to top $1 billion. It also put the overall estimated cost of damages at $2 billion, a representative told The Final Call.
“It’s horrible and it’s tragic that we had 24 people that died but our analysis is there may have been as many as 13,000 people that were in the direct path of that tornado…. It’s not luck that that many people avoided injury,” Rick Smith, Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the National Weather Service, told The Final Call.
The country is still recovering from violent storms and weather anomolies from last year. America’s Eastern seaboard, particlarly New Jersey is still suffering from superstorm Sandy, the violent winter storm that struck last October, wrecking havoc and forcing thousands from their homes.
Damages exceeded $1 billion from Sandy. Wild temperature swings have been experienced over many parts of the United States, and with the hurricane season beginning officially on June 1, meteorologists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted a very active hurricane season, with oceanic and atmospheric conditions expected to create stronger and more hurricanes. They are predicting ten or more major hurricanes, defined as Category 3 or higher, with winds in excess of 110 mph.
During his most recent online broadcast, which aired May 25, the Minister said, “Look at the calamities that are coming at you one right behind another.”
This extreme weather and its deadly path of destruction is no accident or chance event.
Minister Farrakhan has consistently warned the U.S. government that God would use the weather to wreak havoc against her because of her wicked treatment of her Black so-called citizens.
“So in America, there are 29 states that are now suffering drought. Famine is coming; and you are being beaten with hail and rain, and snow, and fire, and tornadoes, and hurricanes. God uses The Forces of Nature as His “arms,” and He said He will use all that He has against you!” Minister Farrakhan warned in an earlier part of his series.
“Can’t you see what is happening to America? One-third of the American people say they believe that the change in the weather is fulfilling Biblical prophecy of “end times.” So America, you must–if you are to survive: You must make a serious change to give America hope for an “extension of time,” and even a “future,” he continued.
What must that change be?
Separate the Black man and woman and give them a good send off, Minister Farrakhan instructed America, reiterating the warnings issued by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in his great prophetic book, “The Fall of America.”
Minister Farrakhan has urged Black men and women to accept their roles to avoid chastisement, too. Unite. Get busy. Stop killing each other, and do for self with the help of their learned, professional people, he said.
“But if you continue to rebel, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad warns of a heavy chastisement that you will be under, that will last one whole year. It’s written in the Bible, in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 9, verses 1-6 that in that year “you will seek death”–and you will not find it, for “death will flee from you.”
Meanwhile, experts haven’t really identified any weather trends in terms of changes or how frequent the tornados are occurring, or their severity, Mr. Smith said. The tornados that hit Oklahoma on May 19 and 20 are rare but not unheard of, he said.
Oklahoma has an EF4-EF5 category tornado at least once a year on average, but the Moore tornado happens less than one percent of the time, he explained. “We think that the warning system worked fairly well so our part in that warning system, we’re proud of. We’re proud of what we do. We always want to do better but we think we made a difference that day,” Mr. Smith told The Final Call.
Newspapers across the country have described the tornado’s effect in headlines such as, “Horror,” “Hell on Earth,” and “It’s Like a War Zone.”
According to the National Weather Service, the last 10 EF5 tornadoes have struck Oklahoma, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, Kansas, and Iowa.
The National Climatic Data Center has cited $123 billion weather-related disasters between 1980 and 2012. “Twelve occurred during 2011 alone–the most for any year on record, with total costs being approximately $52 billion,” according to the center.
Its data is outlined in a report titled, “U.S. Billion-dollar Weather and Climate Disasters: Data Sources, Trends, Accuracy and Biases,” authored by Adam Smith and Richard Katz.
According to the document, spring 2012 brought a national drought due to the lack of snow America received during the previous winter. The drought has caused 123 deaths and more than $40 billion in damages/costs, they indicated.
Also in 2012, a total of 75 tornados caused 42 deaths and $4 billion in damages/costs in Southeast/Ohio Valley between March 2 and 3. Between April 2-3, 22 tornadoes, including several in the Dallas area, caused $1.3 billion in damages/costs.
Between April 13-14, 98 confirmed tornadoes hit Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. The damage cost was $283 million in Wichita alone. And the disaster caused six deaths and nearly $2 billion in total damages/costs.
Disasters in the form of tornados, storms, hail, hurricanes, and wildfires continued to strike America in 2012. Hurricane Sandy struck the East Coast in October 2012, killing 132 people and causing an estimated $82 billion in damages to New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, the report further indicated.
Still, the worst is yet to come if America fails to repent, according to chapter 35 and 36 in the book written by the Hon. Elijah Muhammad titled “The Fall of America.”
“The four great judgments that Almighty [God] Allah) is bringing upon America are rain, hail, snow and earthquakes. We see them now covering all sides of America, as the Holy Qur’an prophesies, ‘curtailing her on all her sides’. And these judgments would push the people into the center of the country, and there they would realize that it is Allah (God) Who is bringing them and their country to a naught,” the Honorable Elijah Muhammad wrote.
Though written 40 years ago, his words are ringing true today. And there is but one way out, for America and her Black once-slaves: Submit to God.
In the fourth installment of his series, Minister Farrakhan warned, “You don’t like what I am saying, and you wish I would stop. And some of you will try to stop me! That is entirely up to you. … But remember! When you plan against me, The Plan is already against you. And to prove it: He’s going to increase the calamities shortly after you hear this message.
In fact, this whole year, the more I speak by The Grace of God on “The Time and What Must Be Done”–by you as a government, and a people; and what must be done by us, the Black man and woman of America: God is going to increase the whipping on both people until we decide that what God has set down as “what must be done,” must be done,” said Minister Farrakhan.
