Part of the Theme of the Fifth Annual Educational Challenge Conference held in Chicago, August 2012

By those ranging in ranks? And those who restrain holding in restraint, And those who recite the Reminder, Surely your God is One.   The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them and the Lord of the eastern lands.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 37 verses 1-5

As I begin this article, I am reminded of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s words that our Saviour, Master W. F. Muhammad, had memorized six of our past 25,000-year calendar histories by heart. This would comprise 150,000 years of history (25,000 x 6) = 150,000 years.   In reviewing the history of Atlantis as described by authors, historians and psychics alike, origins of Atlantis are traced back to some 50,000, to as much as 150,000 years ago, into the remote past.   This information led me to wonder if aspects of Atlantean civilizations through stages of evolutionary progress may be recorded in several of our past calendar histories, and as such, memorized by our Saviour, Allah.   If this is the case, it would have tremendous meaning for us today.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad has taught us that our entire planet was named Asia.   With many earth changes occurring over millions and even billions of years forced the breaking apart of land masses separating one part from the other producing cataclysms and upheavals dividing the land from the water with great seismic activity, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. These are some of the destruction that befell Atlantis.   These types of earth changes and upheavals reminds us in many ways of the creation story we read in Genesis of the Bible describing how Almighty God separated the land from the water.

Edgar Cayce’s book on Atlantis, edited by Hugh Lynn Cayce, writes on page 52 the following words as he introduces one of Edgar Cayce’s readings on Atlantis:   “It is now being established scientifically that man is much older than previously believed–a fact stated over 30 years ago in a number of Edgar Cayce life readings.   How does this relate to Atlantis?   Where was Atlantis to begin with?” To quote from a general reading given in 1932:

Jamillah Muhammad, granddaughter of Mother Tynnetta Muhammad and daughter of son, Rasul Muhammad, jumping into the waters of Bimini swimming with the dolphins on our boat excursion. Her reflections are included in this article.

‘The position … the continent of Atlantis occupied is between the Gulf of Mexico on the one hand and the Mediterranean upon the other.   Evidences of the lost civilization are to be found in the Pyrenees and Morocco, British Honduras, Yucatan and America.   There are some protruding portions … that must have at one time or another been a portion of this great continent.

The British West Indies, or the Bahamas, are a portion of same that may be seen in the present. If the geological survey would be made in some of these especially or notably in Bimini and in the Gulf Stream through this vicinity, these may be even yet determined.’ ”

The journey to Atlantis and Bimini raises one’s mental consciousness and allows our thoughts to travel to higher frequencies and vibrations.   This has been proven over and over again in this series of writings, particularly as contributed by our students in their Bimini Reflections.   In continuing some of these Reflections, I recall yet another special meeting with the eldest daughter of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Sister Ethel Sharieff, who took me up into the attic of her home one day to show me rolls of fabric she had preserved from her sewing projects.

While in her company, I noticed a large framed painting leaning on the floor against a piece of furniture.   This painting depicted an ancient city in the setting of what appeared to be Greek style buildings mounted with huge columns.   There were many people dressed in ancient Greek attire clothed white tunics and togas.   They were drowning and gasping for breath in waters that were flooding their buildings and cities as well as themselves.

Group photo taken on Bimini during our last journey in May 2012, standing in front of the impressionable arc entitled, “Gateway to the Bahamas.”

I asked Sister Ethel Sharieff what did this painting represent?   She answered that it was a painting given to her by Master W. Fard Muhammad and that it represented the destruction and doom of the present world. During these many years of study and research on the subject of Atlantis,

along with the Edgar Cayce life readings given to several thousand clients on Atlantis I wondered, could this painting from the ancient Greek world imply a similar destruction that would visit the present world as an extension of what happened in Atlantis?

Returning once again to our Bimini Reflections, my granddaughter, Jamillah Muhammad, enthusiastically wrote on some of her experiences while in Bimini, as you can see, from one of the photos of her daring exploits in the open sea swimming with the dolphins in our latest journey to Bimini ending in the last week of May 2012.

You Cannot Have Knowledge or Wisdom Without the Experience

Moving out from your comfort zone can be very challenging to some and very pleasing to others; but what it does to every single one of us is change us.   When you are put in an environment where you’ve never been before, your body has to adjust to the different climate and/or altitudes and your mind also has to adjust itself from the same old routines that we do everyday.   We change automatically and forever.   Being in Bimini made me appreciate what I have and the practical things we take for granted.

Where most of us live in what we would call the main land U.S.A., we can go every single day of the week to buy fruits and vegetables. Whereas in Bimini, they’re shipped from Florida every Thursday, and that’s the day that is recommended to pick it up because it’s still fresh.   We have an abundance of land around us that we don’t know how to use for our basic needs.   While on the island of Bimini, their land is seven and a half miles in length and three miles in width, and most of it is sand and not farming land.

Bahamians in this particular island don’t really use cars; you would see them walking most of the time, and most of the buildings don’t even have air conditioning despite the heat of the sun.   Their museums and library is open to anybody 24 hours per day without even having to pay a dime to enjoy their very profound heritage.     It may seem as if they don’t have a lot, and maybe they don’t compared to all the foolishness we call material stuff that makes our lives easier and less productive;

but they are much   richer than we are in significant ways.   Every single soul on the island are so radiant you could feel them 200 feet away.   You can see the love in their smiles, and their eyes are full of the warmth of the sun we all enjoy being in the Bahamas.   It seems like appreciation has become a way of life for them and nothing is ever wasted.

Coconuts, for example, were almost sacred to the island; they used coconuts in many of their sales products and for cooking, which included coconut milk, coconut oil, coconut water and the best desserts were made out of coconut.   This fruit is essential and they are never wasted because one coconut can give you a lot more than the dollars we taste everyday of the week in Publix (grocery store in Florida).   The sea life is truly amazing in the Bahamas.   They have the most exotic kinds of fish in the world.   Sharks and stingrays swim on the shores of the island and you can see hundreds of conk shells and star fish on the beaches which are used sometimes for construction.

The waters were clear as glass, so clear you could see some of the marine life from the plane, and the sand was white and soft as powder. You could even use it as an exfoliation.   Every life in Bimini has a perfect function and connection to each other.   I would say they have a very profound and spiritual bond tied to each other’s hearts.   I certainly believe that there is a lot more to this island than fun and tourism.

Its energy is very powerful and its magnetic fields and frequencies are overwhelming.   There is something very special and particular about the islanders and the island itself that is unknown, and one can’t wait to find out!   It is the best trip I’ve ever made and I’m very grateful I was given the opportunity to go.   May Allah keep blessing your lives with what he’s already given you and more.

“Surely We have adorned the lower heaven with an adornment, the stars, And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious devil.   They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are reproached from every side, Driven off; and for them is a perpetual chastisement, Except him who snatches away but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 37, verses 6-10

To be continued.
