PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan will be the guest speaker for the Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders lecture series at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff (UAPB) Monday, April 16 at 6:30 pm. Sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA), the free, public event will be held in the H.O. Clemmons Arena of the Kenneth L. Johnson, Sr. HPER Complex.

The aim of the lecture series is to inspire, motivate, and captivate the minds of people through cultural development and intellectual engagement. The goal is to cause those exposed to the series to step-up to the plate, evolve as the next generation of leaders and take the world by storm. “It is our goal to plant seeds today to provide fruit for those to come tomorrow,” says Kent Broughton, II, SGA President. “Hearing Farrakhan will create the opportunity to expose our students to diversity and make a positive impact on our campus, county and State.”

Minister Farrakhan has recently addressed capacity crowds on the campuses of Howard University, Jackson State University, Prairie View A&M University, Chicago State University, the University of California, Berkeley, Alabama A&M Univeristy and LeMoyne-Owen College. The audiences sat and listened attentively as Minister Farrakhan in his unique way, gave instruction to prepare the minds of the next generation of leaders.  –Text from: UAPB News
