“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” (Rev. 18:2)

Catastrophic financial default could cast an even darker cloud over the increasingly calamity-torn United States of America. But the embarrassment of a country squabbling about how to pay its bills has already taken a toll on confidence in the once almighty dollar.

As the political house appears on the verge of caving in, the wealth gap between the have and have-nots has widened, and record extreme weather patterns have struck across states.
While some have difficulty pinpointing the true root cause of this country’s collapse, Nation of Islam students bear witness that this is fulfillment of divine truths consistently taught by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan: America is under divine chastisement.
“Allah (God) is drying up America’s wealth just as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has been warning us. They have been crying out in the wilderness and people have refused to pay attention to them. Look at the weather and the way America is falling,” Student Minister Abdul Sharrieff Muhammad of Atlanta told The Final Call.
“In the Holy Qur’an it is written that Moses and Aaron prayed that Allah would break Pharaoh’s wealth because the children of Israel were enamored with his wealth,” Houston-based Student Minister Robert Muhammad added.
In his book, Message to the Blackman in America, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad wrote: “Today America’s doom is set like a die. She cannot escape; it is impossible. For her to escape would classify the prophets of God and God Himself as predicting lies. When God appeared to me in the person of Master Fard Muhammad, to whom praises are due forever, in 1931 in Detroit, He said that America was His number one enemy on His list for destruction.”
The Hon. Elijah Muhammad further warned that America “must get a taste of what she has put upon other people. Therefore, Almighty God Himself is stirring up the nations of the earth against her. And, as it is written, they shall come against her as she has gone against other people and taken away their wealth and brought it and poured it into her treasuries, so shall it be done to her.”
President Barack Obama and the Democrats were engaged in a globally watched fight with Republicans at press time over raising the debt ceiling beyond the present $14.3 trillion. There are a lot of crises in the world that we can’t always predict or avoid–hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, terrorist attacks. This isn’t one of those crises. The power to solve this is in our hands,” said President Obama.
“It is written in the Holy Qur’an that every nation has a term. America’s term is up. Revelation talks about a Mystery Babylon that all of the nations of the earth had committed fornication with but then those nations would stand afar. Allah (God) is breaking down America’s wealth so His People will embrace His Servants in our midst and to prove that besides Him there is no other God,” said Robert Muhammad.
He referenced a recent report from the Pew Research Center highlighting how median wealth of White households is 20 times that of Black households and 18 times that of Hispanic households.
From 2005 to 2009, median wealth dipped 53 percent among Black households, by 66 percent among Hispanic households, compared with just 16 percent among White households.
The average Black household had just $5,677 in wealth in 2009; Hispanic households had $6,325 in wealth; and White households had $113,149, according to the study.
“When the showdown came, it was Pharaoh’s magicians who cast first. Then Moses and Aaron cast their rods and swallowed up what was cast by the magicians. The magicians are these educated and religious ones taught, ordained and authorized by this world. They have worked to hide the destiny and true identity of our people but today it has been made known by Minister Farrakhan. We must go for self,” said Robert Muhammad.
During his June 15 press conference at the One United Nations Plaza in New York, Minister Farrakhan said, “Your record, America, stinks in the nostrils of God.”
According to statistics read by Minister Farrakhan, there are nearly one million Americans living homeless under bridges and such; at least 15 million are unemployed; 44 million live below the poverty line; three million U.S. properties went into foreclosure in 2010; over 100,000 war veterans are homeless; and an estimated $2.2 trillion is needed to fix decaying U.S. infrastructure.
“Why do you hate (Libyan leader Muammar) Gadhafi? Does he share the wealth of Libya with the poor? Well, if he does–and he does–doesn’t that make you, America, look bad? You are the richest nation on the Earth and you’ve got 44 million people living in poverty. Bread lines, food lines, food stamps, children suffering in America– but you want to talk to him about ‘humanitarian’ concerns?” said Minister Farrakhan.
According to scientists, America is on a pace this year to set a record for the cost of weather-related disasters which has already reached $32 billion. A spokesman for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced that at least eight weather disasters this year have totaled $8 billion in damages.
“Allah (God) is using The Forces of Nature to bring down Wrath all over the world. And calamities are going to increase in such a measure–famine,pestilence,war,disease–that nations are going to have to fight for their own existence, and this will bring about the end of all the warmongers on our planet. And a New Civilization and a New World will be coming in,” said Min. Farrakhan during his press conference.
Student Minister Willie Muhammad of New Orleans emphasized how Minister Farrakhan gave America a way of out of its present ills and destruction via the book “A Torchlight for America.”
“Minister Farrakhan published that book in 1993 and sent it to then-President Bill Clinton. Yet, it is filled with guidance that is solutions to everything that America is facing today under its present administration. The Minister provided them with the torchlight,” he said.
“Arrogance has caused them to reject the message because they are not fond of the plate or man it is being served from. When you reject a divine warning from God, what else is there to come but the consequences of that rejection? We’re seeing the repercussions increasing,” said Willie Muhammad.
“The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan will not be made liars. Every word they speak is coming to pass,” added Abdul Sharrieff Muhammad.
