More colmuns by Mother Tynnetta Muhammad

“He it is who sends down water from the clouds for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees on which you feed. He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the date-palms, and the grapes, and all the fruits. Surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect. And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon. And the stars are made subservient by His command. Surely there are signs in this for a people who understand.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 16, verses 10-12

I wish to thank and congratulate all of those who participated and made it possible for this year’s successful journey to the South of Mexico on our touring car and bus transportation. It was truly an adventure of learning that edified and honored our ancestors from a remote past to a renascent presence and future state of renewed consciousness for the Black man’s magnificent contributions to world civilizations. Without the excellent and remarkable presence and scholarly contributions of Professor Toni Mokjaetji Humber, Ph.D., from Pomona, California, our modest efforts would not have been as triumphant. She provided us with a most powerful concept as we traveled in search of knowledge. Quoting from her scholarly text prepared for the exhibit we read in her introductory remarks:

“Throughout this journey, you will be ‘endarkened’ to see the light!!! An ‘endarkening experience’ is contrary to the colonial notion of enlightenment and bringing civilization to uncivilized and Indigenous peoples of the world. As the endarkened, we explore, learn about and are dipped deeply into the well of African genius and greatness that created diverse cultures, dynamic histories and the rich legacies of continental and Diasporan Africans. We then begin to understand the great contributions African peoples have made to world civilizations. Being endarkened enables those who have been bombarded with and blinded by stereotypes and distorted notions about African peoples to gain new insights about themselves and to realize their power and the power of this profound new knowledge.”

On the cover of the current October issue of the Archaeology Magazine, the featured photo and story is on the Olmec civilization, Mother Culture of Mexico, to which I would add not just Mexico, but of the Americas. The large basalt stone head discovered in San Lorenzo, Veracruz, was photographed on the cover along with the key points of the inside story and evidence of the Olmec culture located in the state of Veracruz, Tabasco, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Morelos. We will now hear some of the statements made by a few of our tour participants:

“My traveling to Mexico was the happiest 15 days of my life. It was everything that my heart had yearned for since I was a little girl. There was so much wisdom conveyed there that it was overwhelming but also it confirmed the truth that we had been taught in the lessons and books. I loved the knowledge, wisdom, the love, the unity, nature walks through the jungle, boat rides, climbing up the steps to the various pyramids, visiting the archaeological sites, attending the Yanga festival and our participation in drama and theatre, all the 13 or 14 different cities that we traveled to, the rainforests and the waterfalls. Everything to me was such an awesome experience that I’ll never forget and I would love for others to have the chance to go and experience this. I think it would be wonderful for the Jr. M.G.T. and Jr. F.O.I. and processing to take this tour to Mexico.”–Sister Karen Muhammad, Columbus, Ohio

“Our origin in the Americas further bears witness to the truth of the Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and representation now of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. It is a healing of the highest order to realize Allah’s (God’s) love in allowing us to partake in this unforgettable journey. Thanks again, Mother Tynnetta Muhammad and thank you, Dr. Toni-Mokjaetiji Humber.”–Darnita Muhammad, M.D., Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

“The MXODUS Tour was a wonderful experience and it was so interesting because we learned about the wisdom of the Aztecs, Mayans and Olmecs and how this wisdom spread all throughout Mexico and the Americas.”–Aliyah Muhammad

“It is still a wonder to me that the Mayan temples were built with such great architecture in that period of time. How were the Olmecs able to carve out 2-3 ton heads, move and bury them?!”–Amira Muhammad, two daughters that accompanied their mother Dr. Darnita on the MXODUS Tour from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

“Each MXODUS journey has taken us deeper into the realization of the beauty and vastness of the mission of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. I thank Allah (God) for guiding Mother Tynnetta as she helps to fulfill her husband’s work which is divine unity of the human family and global consciousness.”–Asheen Muhammad

“I thank Allah (God) for the chance to reconnect to our Indigenous and ancient roots, as well as experience love, beauty and thoughts of antiquity.”–Khaliq Muhammad, son of Asheen Muhammad from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

“I am so deeply grateful for the experience of the MXODUS Tour that gave so much to me. The whole journey was filled with ever-revealing truth of the connections of ancient people from the African Diaspora, Indigenous of the Western Hemisphere and the original people of Asia, verifying that we are all members of the Original family, the Asiatic Black Man, the Maker, the Owner, the Cream of the Planet Earth, God of the Universe.”–Steven Muhammad, Phoenix, Arizona.

My tour experience was wonderful and I was truly blessed to be on a tour with people who treated me like family, to see so many beautiful places, and being so close to my homeland (Guatemala). After seeing the impressive Olmec heads and breathtaking Mayan ruins, and to learn that these cultures are related made me proud of my Mayan ancestry.”–Jennifer Martin, Phoenix, Arizona.

“And what He has created for you in the earth is of varied hues. Surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. And He it is Who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear. And thou seest the ships cleaving through it, so that you seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks. And He has cast firm mountains in the earth lest it quake with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright, And landmarks. And by the stars they find the right way.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 16, verses 13-16
