JABRIL.MUHAMMAD

A Valuable Blackman Part 10

Again, in order for the people to fully rise, someone–the proper one–had to be prepared to give the proper witness, in the proper manner, of the exalted state of the one who was to leave. Furthermore, he would have to inform all of that which the one who had departed was doing, which would affect all life on earth–from his exalted state. In other words, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad simply could not accomplish the next phase of his work while living physically, on a day-to-day basis, among us and others. He had to be in another location. He is. Yet, he had to have one like himself among us. He has.

In addition to all the above, he said he was given enough wisdom to last for forty years. That is he was given that much time–and no more–by His Teacher to study, understand all aspects of (the first phase of his mission) and to deliver the message he was given. Many scholars teach that the numbers 4, 40, 400, 4,000 represent, in essence, preparation and foundation. Hence, the need for the next man: The Honorable Louis Farrakhan, to say and do as he has said and done, from 1977 onward.

In the twentieth Surah of the Holy Qur’an we read that Moses asked for a special helper from his family. He specified, in his prayer to Allah, that He give him “…Aaron, my brother…” (verses 29, 30). He asked Allah to “…make him share my task….”

The Bible teaches, in the book of Exodus, that God gave Aaron to Moses as a special helper in his mission, before Moses ever asked for Aaron. (Exodus 4:14)

As we have seen, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad felt the need for a special helper early in his ministry. He was aware of these and other passages in the scriptures that describe such helper.

In the early 1930s, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad at first thought his brother, Wali, would be his “Aaron,” or the fulfillment of that character, or person, who would help him in a very special way. Later, he thought this special helper would be his brother Charlie. He learned better and continued looking for this man for years.

Minister Farrakhan first heard of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1952, when he was 19. Three years later he came to see the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in person. That was 1955; the year which marked the end of the 400 years of bondage that Black people were to experience in America. This time period is specifically mentioned in the Bible. And, the additional time period required to raise and free Black people is also specified in the scriptures of both Bible and Holy Qur’an.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was made aware of his future special helper’s presence in the Temple that day–February 26, 1955–in more than one way. He saw him. He saw into him. He even read his mind, at a certain point in the talk.

He directly and indirectly guided and kept up with his student’s activities and they finally met, in a more personal way, in 1957. That meeting took place in the home of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has stated that when people came into his presence he had one ear on their mouth and the other on prophecy to see where they fit.

As noted above, one day the Honorable Elijah Muhammad told his Minister that he had been waiting for him for 38 years. He told him this in the late 1960s. This was during the time period when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was becoming more open with Minister Farrakhan about his Minister’s identity. He was becoming more definite with the Minister about his place or position in relation to him in relation to the work Master Fard Muhammad had given him in the early 1930s.

By this time he had given him the name “Farrakhan.” About two years, more or less, after he gave him his name, he made the Honorable Louis Farrakhan his National Representative. It must be noted that by this time he was no longer searching for that special helper written of in both Bible and Holy Qur’an. He was looking at him and knew who the identity of this special helper was.

He found this special helper in his Brother, Minister Louis Farrakhan, as Moses found his special helper, in his Brother, Aaron. God had already chosen this special helper. Now, he was working with God to get this helper–this special Minister–ready.

It is beyond the scope of this chapter (or book) to go into all of the specifics of the words and acts of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad–especially from 1965 onward–that constituted aspects of the preparation of Minister Farrakhan for his work from 1977 onward. And I’ve mentioned some in other works. The following incident, meanwhile, gives an additional idea of the varying methods employed by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in preparing his Minister.

One day the Honorable Elijah Muhammad had Minister Farrakhan fly in from New York City to Chicago. At one point during dinner, he told his Minister that he had invited him to share with him some of his burden.

Former National Secretary John Ali was present. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to the secretary that he wanted him to show Minister Farrakhan all the books and records of headquarters was there in Chicago, Illinois.

Time passed. Dinner finished. Minister Farrakhan was left wondering what was what. His teacher never explained what he meant about sharing with him some of his burden. In addition, he was not shown the books.

The Minister was not thinking about Holy Qur’an 20:32 in which is part of Moses’ prayer to Allah for this special helper, the words of which read: “…and make him share my task….” But the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was. He was, even at that very moment, knowingly and actively cooperating and participating with God Almighty in the making or preparation of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan for that which you see him doing today, which at that time he (the Minister) did not see. This effort was part of the fulfilling of what was written, by those, however, who thousands of years ago saw into this day.

Moses prayed “…and make him share my task (or burden)–(verse 32) so that we may glorify Thee much….”–(verse 33). The Honorable Elijah Muhammad likewise prayed for such helper and later was blessed with him–the Honorable Louis Farrakhan–and worked with God in preparing certain aspects of the being of his Minister that he might serve God, himself, us and others–even the United States Government, if they would but take heed.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was not always so indirect. One day he told Minister Farrakhan that he wanted his mind! He told him outright, that he wanted his Minister to line his mind up with his mind so that there be one mind. He was looking towards the day when he would be absent, in the ordinary sense, from the sight of the public. Then, he would do a great part of his work right through the mind of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan. This is going on now.
