JABRIL.MUHAMMAD

I have received some interesting notes and letters from some Believers who have finished reading Closing The Gap. I’m told that others have, too. I imagine that you have shared with others your thoughts–whether long or short–with others. Why don’t we share those ideas with us all by sending them to the editor of The Final Call?

Has the insights of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan in this forum, a book, improved your understanding of the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad; of yourself; of what? I have heard and read some very fascinating, humble expressions that I wish the readers of this newspaper could read.

It would surprise or even shock many here in America and throughout the earth to learn that the parables of Jesus about the Kingdom of God have already begun to be fulfilled in the history of Black people (and then others) right here in America.

The true understanding of these parables lies in the understanding of the scriptures, which was taught to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad by the Great Mahdi, God Himself, which he has taught to us–especially through Minister Farrakhan over the last near 30 years.

If we are blessed to understand the truth of these parables, many of the problems we have in understanding the times and the people and events we encounter would be eliminated. Our stress levels would be somewhat reduced. And we would produce less stress to others. We would better understand what is to be learned by the expression that what is happening is taking place as it was written.

This will help us better see why we are so sacred in the eyes of Allah.

As Minister Farrakhan has clearly pointed out, we’re progressing as it was written of us in the scriptures. He is not a “fatalist” but a strong/profound Believer in Allah (God).

We, as a people, have been given that truth that cannot be duplicated. It’s Supreme Wisdom. We cannot duplicate Supreme Wisdom.

In Minister Farrakhan’s letter that opens Closing The Gap, he gives the root to our problems of gaining and benefiting from Allah’s Supreme Wisdom–this unique understanding of everything as we could that has been freely given to us. This teaching is the greatest gift we would be given. In that letter, he writes: “It is misunderstanding, distrust and suspicion that have made the gap. It is understanding and the purification of the heart, through trials, that will allow the mind and the heart to read the words of this book and close the gap between us and Allah (God), and by so doing close the gap between us and His servant, and close the gap between one another.”

This book is filled with wisdom that can close the gap forever!

In an answer to one of my questions, Minister Farrakhan said this of himself, when he first entered the F.O.I. 51 years ago: “At the end of the class, they called up the new converts. When they called me up to welcome me into the F.O.I., the love that I saw in the eyes and in the faces of the Brothers toward me was such a new and beautiful experience. It was something that you longed to see in Black people. As I started to speak, I broke down. But in that short little talk, I said, ‘I was going to take this teaching to every nook and cranny, or corner, of the United States of America.’ Those were the words I spoke in October 1955.”

There are two Brothers in Miami, Florida today who were there that night and witnessed what he said, and are with him today–51 years later–in this divine work of the resurrection of the Blackman of America. They are Minister Najee Muhammad and Brother Thomas Jehad. The first Brother was then the assistant minister to Malcolm X. The second Brother was then the first (and only) lieutenant to Captain Yusef Shah. By the word “only,” I mean just that. The captain needed just that one Brother.

I was not in the F.O.I. meeting that night. I was working in our restaurant.

Another Brother who can share with you some of Minister Farrakhan’s history is Minister Abdul Bey Muhammad, who is assisting Minister Rasul Muhammad, the Seventh Regional Minister.

These are among the Brothers who can tell you that Minister Farrakhan was blessed by Allah to be true to his word. There is practically no place in America he has not traveled and taken the Word God that was revealed to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Moreover, he has personally taken this Word to many nations of the earth–and all over the earth by means of the media. He is a world traveler. His schedule has been stunningly unreal!

The following is a tiny microscopic list of the number of titles of addresses Minister Farrakhan has made from that night–51 years ago–until today.

“The Here-After” at Mosque Maryam in Chicago, Illinois on September 7, 2003. “Healing Begins in the Mind: As a Man Thinketh, So Is He” at Kennedy-King College in Chicago, Illinois on June 18, 2006. “A New Year Message: The Majesty of Master Fard Muhammad’s Love” at Mosque Maryam in Chicago, Illinois on January 1, 2006.

“The Spider: No One Who Believes in God Will Escape Being Tried” at Muhammad’s Mosque No. 15 in Atlanta, Georgia on March 20, 2005. “Politics Without Economics Is Symbol Without Substance” on September 6, 1987 in Houston, Texas. “Christ’s Imminent Return” on December 11, 1983 in Greenwood, Mississippi. “Seek Refuge In Allah” on August 10, 1986 in Chicago, Illinois. “What Happened To Black People In America: Are We The Fulfillment Of Scripture?” at The Kiel Center on August 21, 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. “The Time And What Must Be Done” on July 26, 1981 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. “Blessed Is He Who Forges The Way For Others” on November 29, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois. “Allah Is Sufficient” on April 17, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois.

If you have heard these–and/or the many other speeches he has made, you know why the Honorable Elijah Muhammad asked us to “continue to hear my Minister Farrakhan.”

His teachings bear witness to everything the Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught and he provides deeper insight into these teachings–because his teacher continues to guide him, from the Power of Allah Himself. I hope to contribute towards making this point crystal clear. It’s so very critical.

In the first article of this current series (which appeared in The Final Call, Volume 21, Number 7), the most important fact we must know about the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, I cited an important part of Jesus’ parable of the wheat and the tare. It’s a parable that shows how these words (concepts) that we are about to get into–“represent,” “share” and “task”–fit Minister Farrakhan in a very special manner and helps us see his relation to Master Fard Muhammad, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, ourselves and even the world.

How fortunate we are!

More, next issue, Allah willing.
