“… in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrines, and deny the Master who redeemed them… .” (Today’s English Version Peter 2:1)

“Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, we believe, and will not be tried?” (Holy Qur’an, 29:2)

The January 10, 1996 one-question-interview I conducted with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan ended with the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan saying:

“So in leaving, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad also said, ‘his preaching is a bearing of witness of me and so continue to hear my Minister Farrakhan.’

“Well, what did he mean, ‘continue to hear my Minister?’ He meant that his followers should continue to listen to me, for my teaching would bear witness of his being alive; of his continued growth into power; of the great commission that God had given him.

“He also said in his Theology of Time lectures, if you continue to listen to me, he said I will have you so smart that you will have the devil around your finger as a little string, and you would not even know that he was present.

“Well, what did he mean, if you continue to listen to me? If you continue to hear my servant, whom I am continuing to guide and grow, then you will grow out of the thought that the enemy is any burden to you, any more than a piece of string on your finger would not be a burden to impede you in doing anything that you desire to do.

“Yakub’s grafted man may be a burden to you if you refuse to allow yourself to grow up into the wisdom of God. And you cannot do that unless you continue to hear his Minister Farrakhan and his witness of his master and teacher, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.”

Minister Jabril: Thank you, Minister Farrakhan.

“Thank you” means, at its root, gratitude for divine favors.

As I began this article, a headline caught my attention that bore witness to a major point I intended to make about my Brother, Minister Farrakhan. It reads: China and Japan Leaders Pledge to Improve Relations. It was published, April 24, 2005, in The New York Times. I suggest we read more of this development. Here are excerpts from this article written by Raymond Bonner and Norimitsu Onishi:

“JAKARTA, Indonesia, April 23–The leaders of Japan and China pledged to improve ties Saturday after weeks of escalating disputes, easing tension, but not resolving some critical problems besieging relations between East Asia’s big powers.

“After a 55-minute meeting on the sidelines of an Asia-Africa summit conference here, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi of Japan said both sides had agreed to look beyond disagreements and focus on the future.

“But speaking at a separate news conference, China’s top leader, Hu Jintao, sounded less optimistic, saying that Japan needed to reflect on its past and warns Tokyo not to meddle in its internal affairs by supporting Taiwan.

“With both sides sending out olive branches in recent days, they appeared to soften their positions on some of the most contentious points. Mr. Koizumi did not insist on an apology or compensation for anti-Japanese vandalism in China, as Japanese diplomats had earlier. Mr. Hu did not directly demand that Mr. Koizumi stop visiting Yasukuni Shrine, where war criminals are enshrined among Japan’s war dead, as he had in their previous meeting, in November.

“‘We were able to confirm at the meeting that, rather than criticizing each other’s past shortcomings and aggravating antagonistic feelings, we should make efforts to develop the bilateral friendship,’ Mr. Koizumi said.

“‘The Japan-China friendship is beneficial, not only for the two countries, but also for Asia and the international community,’ he added.”

Mr. Hu also emphasized the importance of the relationship.”

What does this international development, with all of its difficulties and stupendous ramifications for United States foreign policy, have to do with Minister Farrakhan’s work and this particular series and subjects? Much!

I mentioned the illegal arrest of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and some of what preceded that arrest in “This Is The One.”

Shortly before his arrest, in May 1942, he indicated to his followers what was coming. He deliberately wrote certain points on the blackboard in the Temple (as it was called then) in Washington, D.C. These were truths he taught his followers. But he also was writing these facts for the government to study.

Well, the FBI arrested him and they questioned him for about 13 or 14 straight hours. He said he patiently answered most all of their questions.

With this said, here is the point of my mentioning what I did above, of China and Japan. When they arrested him, the FBI agents took his briefbag and made copies of all it contained. They kept it for about seven months.

In “This Is The One,” we read: “Among the things they read–which many years later they saw come to pass–was the future of China. Let us recall, this was 1942. This government did not see that future. How did he? And, according to what–or whose insight (the base of foresight) did he see what he saw?

“They came to know more of that which they were learning; that he–Elijah Muhammad–was a very special; a very unusual and a very extraordinary man.”

Remember, there were hardly any Americans who spoke enough of the dialects of the Chinese language in the federal government–especially in the state department–in those days. Moreover, there was nothing in this (the U.S.) government’s scientific knowledge that would have enabled them to foresee all of the events that have occurred between that time (1942) and today’s developments occurring between Japan and China, and its serious ramifications for the international community–especially for the United States.

So how did a Black man, in America, with a fourth grade education, foresee the intricacies and complexities of international events to tell us that China and Japan would unite one day? Certainly, they have not overcome what they must to bring that about. But keep your eyes on this development.

The Messiah foresaw what is now news of China and Japan’s efforts to unite. He likewise foreknew Minister Farrakhan’s future. He was preparing him to sit in his seat one day. How foolish we are to continue to blind ourselves to the implications of this fact.

Insight is the base of foresight. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that: “Whenever you come into my presence, I have one eye on your mouth and the other on prophecy to see where you fit.”

He was expecting his “Aaron.” He indicated this in his 1954 Saviour’s Day (as it was called then) address. A year later, he recognized Minister Farrakhan on first sight in 1955, during his Saviour’s Day speech. He openly gave him his assignment right in that speech, although only he saw that at that time. He began more deeply introducing his Minister to himself and his relationship to him in his home in 1957.

We must get out of our foolishness, stubbornness and self-willed attitude, and stop being presumptuous, rash, bigheaded, conceited, arrogant, haughty, self-important, and stop self-flattery–which constitutes major aspects of our collective and miserable state of condition. Only then can we more deeply absorb the wisdom of Allah flowing through the Messiah’s chief witness–Minister Farrakhan. Only then can we really grow into our divine powers.

More, next issue, Allah willing, on our proper place among the nations of the earth.
