“And when thy Lord said to the angels, I am going to place a ruler in the earth, they said: Wilt Thou place in it such as make mischief in it and shed blood? And we celebrate Thy praise and extol Thy holiness. He said: Surely I know what you know not.”Holy Qur’an, Surah 2, verse 30

With the coming of the White race on our Planet, within the last 6,000 years of world history, his objective of rulership and dominion was to keep the Original Man and People constantly at war with one another, separating and dividing us against ourselves through internecine tribal conflicts.

Thus, we became easy prey for capture and subjugation. Through a process of miscegenation and extermination of whole peoples and tribes (genocide), he utilized all means possible to attain this end. Certainly this is true, even today, as we view the severity of world crises mounting one after another.

Only through the Divine Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad are we able to break the “Dreamspell” of History and overcome this pattern of conquest exhibited by the dominant White Race. Every Nation on the Planet is trying to break the chains of his dominant rule.

As we read in the story of Isaac and the conflict between his two sons, Esau and Jacob, the younger robbed the elder brother of his birthright and his blessing. Esau was reduced to being the servant of his younger brother through stealth and deception. This is true of the White Race today, who has robbed the Original People and owners of their birthright and blessing through mischief-making, deception and tricknology.

The Caucasian world knows that their very nature is rebellious to the true nature of God in the making of peace and harmony. Therefore, he is unable to make reconciliation of differences on the basis of Truth and Justice. Being the last member of the Adamic race of people, they slipped from God’s Grace and continue to fill the Earth with mischief-making and rebelliousness.

“We said: Go forth from this state all. Surely there will come to you a guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve. And (as to) those who disbelieve in and reject our messages, they are the companions of the Fire; in it they will abide.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 2, verses 38 & 39

Only until today is his power being broken over the Original People of the Planet through the Coming of the Messiah and the Mahdi Whom the world has been expecting.

While visiting Aotearoa, New Zealand, during the past several weeks, I was interviewed on the National Maori Radio Broadcasting Station in Auckland, New Zealand, and asked to share my views about current world conditions, with a particular focus on the status of women in Islam.

These questions concerning women’s roles brought me back to the remembrance of my early writings as a columnist on the “Woman in Islam,” appointed as the first Muslim woman columnist by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad when I first entered the Nation of Islam. I began this series writing in Chicago’s Pittsburgh Courier and the Los Angeles Herald Dispatch, which was later published in the Muhammad Speaks newspaper.

A wide range of subjects was covered in the interview, which may be made available to our readers who may be interested. We have much in common with our people of the Maori Nation and other Pacific Islanders in our struggle to overcome the adversities of European dominance and rule.

I close this report with a quote from Willie Jackson, who is the CEO/manager over the Maori Radio Station and is also the son of his prominent social activist mother, June Jackson, who hosted my visit to New Zealand. The following words were shared with me concerning his great esteem for the Nation of Islam members and leadership:

“The Nation of Islam will always have a special part in our lives, Moana and my mother and family. Because we had the privilege of meeting with yourself and your son, this touched something within us. We knew that there was a special affiliation with this very influential and proud group of people in America.

“I always valued the trips that I took to America where I met members of the Nation who hosted us and were great supporters of us and what we were trying to do. When Moana went over there, and I have traveled, they always have been wonderful supporters knowing that there is a commonality in terms of the fight, in terms of justice for Indigenous people, justice for Black people, people of the Nation could recognize that straightaway.

“When Brother Akbar Muhammad first met my uncle Cyd Jackson, who has been the leading activist in this country, we were very lucky, very proud to have met people of the Nation of Islam, very proud to have met yourself and your son. We were very lucky that my son was born on October 15, and that one of his given names was Elijah, after the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, because he was so lucky to have been born on that day, October 15. I happened to be in America in Detroit and he was back here being born. That was a wonderful honor for him and he will carry that name proudly; and although we might not see each other for many years at a time, we must never forget that there is this long relationship that cannot be broken.”

To be continued.
