JABRIL.MUHAMMAD

According to Matthew, Jesus prophesied this to occur at the end of this world: “Afterwards the other virgins came and said, ‘Lord, Lord, open the door for us!’ But he said in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

“It will be as when a man who was going on a journey called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents; to another, two; to a third, one–to each according to his ability. Then he went away.

“Immediately the one who received five talents went and traded with them, and made another five. Likewise, the one who received two made another two. But the man who received one went off and dug a hole in the ground and buried his master’s money.

“After a long time the master of those servants came back and settled accounts with them. The one who had received five talents came forward bringing the additional five. He said, ‘Master, you gave me five talents. See, I have made five more.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’

“(Then) the one who had received two talents also came forward and said, ‘Master, you gave me two talents. See, I have made two more.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’

“Then the one who had received the one talent came forward and said, ‘Master, I knew you were a demanding person, harvesting where you did not plant and gathering where you did not scatter; so out of fear I went off and buried your talent in the ground. Here it is back.’

“His master said to him in reply, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I did not plant and gather where I did not scatter? Should you not then have put my money in the bank so that I could have got it back with interest on my return?

“Now then! Take the talent from him and give it to the one with ten. For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. And throw this useless servant into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.” (Matthew 25:12-31)

Among the most important principles of the teachings of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is that we really can and must rise up into the thinking of God. He has taught this in many ways. He has thoroughly explained why this rise can be to a degree that humans have never been able to obtain until now. He has also explained how.

Now, the way that he expresses himself, as he delivers the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, is a gift unique to him. Yes, he has many talents–just as you have. But like you, he has an innate gift or talent that he performs perfectly, which his other talents serve–like you.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that only Allah could have guided him to put the teachings together as he did. That continues. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that Allah prepared Minister Farrakhan for him.

There is, nor has there ever been, anyone with the ability to do that which Minister Farrakhan does–including the way he does it.

When I was in my pre-teens, I read part of a book on science that contained something which has stuck with me ever since. I later saw it in other books and heard a few others mention the same. It’s that no two snowflakes are ever alike.

When I first read this, I was astounded. How many snowflakes fell in the city where I grew up? I later thought about all of the snow that has fallen in streams, rivers, lakes, on the prairies, in the woods, on mountains, on oceans throughout America and the earth including the North and the South Poles.

I thought about all of this snow, falling every day, all over the earth, every year, going back for thousands of years. Later, after hearing the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, I came to know that snow has been falling for trillions rather than thousands of years.

Look at snowflakes under a microscope. It intensifies one’s amazement to think over this phenomenon that the Almighty had produced. Each snowflake has its own intricate pattern. But yet each one is not ever duplicated. And there is no end to the number of patterns of snowflakes!

Just think, each dog among dogs; each cat among cats; each lion among lions; each buffalo among buffalos have been and are unique, among all of the other dogs, cats, etc., that have ever existed!

What about human beings? And why?

The teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad take us into the best understanding of the roots of the uniqueness of each human being and their gifts. Among the many things this study helps us to understand is what hinders the development of the gifts or talents of any human being. I have studied this for years. The worst hindrance is envy. Immediately after envy comes jealousy.

No one can ever reach the full potential, in terms of the best of their gifts or talents, if they are envious. No one can ever rise, except in an extremely limited way, into the mind/thinking of God while saturated with this most odious emotion called envy.

Envy is absolute devoid of anything that even remotely resembles that which is good. Many say that envy is rooted in being covetous. To covet is to long for or to desire that which rightfully belongs to another. If unchecked, envy (which includes an unjust dislike for the victim) develops into intense hatred of another for what they have justly earned.

This evil quality prevents one from rising to the highest level of self-development that they could attain. It prevents them from properly developing and enjoying their gifts and talents. It prevents such persons from ever obtaining true happiness. It prevents them from ever developing the deepest and best kind of relations with others–especially God Himself.

In most cases, the envier begins by speaking evil, or spreading rumors, about another. When one envies another, it’s only a matter of time before the envier begins to go beyond just slander and begins to seek the actual death of the one that the envier envies.

Again, if the envier sees that their envy-laden words about another does not produce the effect that the envier desires, and fast enough, then the envier begins to seek direct and indirect physical harm to come to the person whom the envier envies.

In 1956, I heard the Honorable Elijah Muhammad say that an envier is the worst kind of person because he/she will murder you. For what? For the talents God birthed you with for His glory?

More next issue, Allah willing.
