“And thy Lord revealed to the bee: Make hives in the mountains and in the trees and in what they build, Then eat of all the fruits and walk in the ways of thy Lord submissively. There comes forth from their bellies a beverage of many hues, in which there is healing for men. Therein is surely a sign for a people who reflect.”
–Holy Qur’an, Surah 16, Verses 68-69.
As the music of the Silk Road Ensemble continued to vibrate from the stage of Chicago’s Symphony Hall on the afternoon of October 27, it resounded as a lingering refrain that would continue to saturate my thinking as I began my cross-“Cultural Links” Journey from America to Asia. Once again, to experience a more deepening world view of greater understanding in embracing our family members from Korea with “Cultural Links” to Mongolia and other parts of the Far East.
I thank the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan for expanding our breast in Islam by making room in our assemblies to embrace all the members of our human family of the Planet Earth in our eternal search to know and understand the universality of God and the global mission of the Nation of Islam. I wish to also thank the Reverend and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon and the leadership of the Unification Church for accepting my request to get a more insightful look at the work of the Unification Church first established in Korea with its outreach to the entire world. I thank those representatives under his leadership for opening to us new doors of friendship for the Nation of Islam under the spiritual leadership of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
The people and country of Mongolia are some of the kindest and most hospitable people I have ever met. I was hosted by the representatives of the Unification Church in the country of Mongolia so well that nothing was left unsaid or undone. It was a mission completed with great benefits and reward for us all in our future development. I have come to see another world within worlds of the Infinite Realms of God’s Knowledge and Truth revealing itself to all true seekers of Divine unhampered by barriers which leads into boundless worlds of eternity.
As we become more lucid dreamers, leaving our bodies regularly, we return to remember the journey; for my past is complete not to be repeated as I continue to create new and exciting realities in my life. I am in possession of my deeper mind and I am filled with vital energy carrying me for more than 200 years henceforth. Whatever the mind can conceive of good, so be it!
In the new publication of The Cultural Link News Journal, second edition “China’s Hidden Faces,” world renown cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, and artistic director and founder of the Silk Road Project expressed this thought in his recent interview in the following words: “Because as you know so well when you travel people tell you things, show you things, share precious things with you. And all I can do is take in what people tell me and share with me and then find a way to pass it on and I think the Silk Road Project is one way of passing on the different kinds of wisdom that people have collected.”
It is from these shared insights expressed by both simple and gifted people that the efforts working towards a world of peace will be ultimately realized. Moving like a ripple effect from one individual and group to another in the expansion of consciousness until suddenly it will appear that we are united once again as one universal family on our planet.
The Nation of Islam will continue to evolve and expand under the divine leadership of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan who is standing in the vanguard position of this new Cultural Revolution on our planet. He spoke recently about his impression of meeting artist Yo-Yo Ma in the summer of 2001 in an interview published in the same issue of Cultural Links. “Well, anyone who knows music or is a lover of music especially in the classical tradition would think of Yo-Yo Ma as probably one of the greatest cellist not only in the world today, but one of the greatest to ever play that instrument.
And the majesty of his soul and his interpretation of the great composers ranks him, in my judgment, at the top of all those who play the cello now or who have ever played it in the past. I was very honored, through you, to make his acquaintance and I would hope and pray that maybe Allah would allow our paths to cross again so that we could speak musically, but also on how music can effect the negative condition of our world and change it into something better.”
In closing this report on the Silk Road Project and its links to the universal mind, I wish to refer our readers to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad who ended a five month lecture series on the Theology of Time, the 29th of the month of October in 1972, in which he emphasized the application of universal truths which harmonize truly with the present moment of perfect time.
“And Allah creates you, then He causes you to die; and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that he knows nothing after having knowledge. Surely Allah is Knowing, Powerful.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 16, Verse 70
