The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught the Original Black man and woman the importance of “unity of self and kind.” He taught us the fundamental importance of Black people working together toward common goals and objectives for the benefit of the whole.

Since our sojourn in America there have been efforts to dismantle those goals. While establishing relationships with other communities regardless of political, socio-economic, ethnic and religious affiliations is also worthwhile, those relationships must be established on truth, transparency and historical accuracy.

Members of the Jewish community met recently in Miami with several well-known Black leaders and organizers for the National Convening on the Black-Jewish Alliance.

The event was called, according to organizers “the first national gathering of its kind in more than 25 years, aimed at renewing one of the most consequential partnerships in American history.” The meeting, which reportedly drew “more than 100 leaders,” was held May 26-30.

According to reporting by The San Diego Voice & Viewpoint, “Hosted by the Exodus Leadership Forum and Redstone Family Foundation at EAST Hotel Miami, the convening brought together clergy, organizers, artists, philanthropists, educators, civic leaders and cultural figures.

The goals were to strengthen relationships; confront rising antisemitism and racism; and help shape a shared national strategy for Black-Jewish partnership in the years ahead.”

The gathering attracted Blacks, Jews and those who are members of both communities. The Exodus Leadership Forum is a non-profit established by former Obama administration advisor for Green Jobs and current political commentator Van Jones.

The reported goal of the forum is “to revitalize and strengthen the historic partnership between the Black and Jewish communities.” The Redstone Family Foundation is described as “a philanthropic organization”

And is headed by media executive Shari Redstone. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Chavis, longtime civil rights activist and president and CEO of the National Newspaper Publishers Association (the Black Press), also addressed the gathering. There are reportedly plans to make it an annual gathering.

The weekend included several goals and included “facilitated conversations around difficult ‘wedge issues,’” noted sdvoice.info. Coming out of the “historic gathering,” a draft of a National Strategy for Black and Jewish Partnership was crafted and included the following:

Promoting Awareness and Historical Understanding

Deepening Relationships and Building Trust

Shaping a Public Narrative around Black-Jewish Allyship

Coordinating Efforts Across the Field

Expanding Partnerships for Collective Advocacy and Action

The above goals could be considered practical. However, before the rest of the points listed can be delved into, the first point, “Promoting Awareness and Historical Understanding,” must be addressed. And, there can be no awareness or understanding that is not based on truth and actual facts.

For decades, the National Representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, has spoken the unadulterated truth about the historic and current relationship between Blacks and Jews.

He has been unfairly lied on, maligned and targeted by members of the Jewish community and many scared-to-death Black people who are unwilling or unable to face the real truth about the history of this “relationship.”

Before any sort of “alliance” can be considered, what the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has presented and revealed must be part of the dialogue. Otherwise, no meaningful so-called alliance can be considered. And, if there is an alliance, what will it be based on?

Minister Farrakhan has called for a dialogue with members of the Jewish community, but he has been rebuffed due to his unwillingness to speak other than the truth. In his efforts to foster communication and understanding between the two communities, the Nation of Islam Research Department has produced several books, including:

“The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews: The Jewish Role in the Enslavement of the African,” “The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews: How Jews Gained Control of the Black American Economy,” “The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews:

The Leo Frank Case, The Lynching of a Guilty Man,” and “Jews Selling Blacks.” There is also a comprehensive compilation of messages by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, titled, “Revealing the Truth & Exposing the Synagogue of Satan.”

Perhaps the dialogue around “difficult wedge” issues about “one of the most consequential partnerships in American history” can and should start with the reading and studying of these materials. Doing so would allow both groups to truly start a sincere dialogue that could lead toward an “alliance.”

Over the years, Minister Farrakhan has written letters to prominent Jewish groups and Black leaders and organizations to foster sincere and truthful dialogue based on understanding. He has sent the books from the N.O.I. Research Group to Black and Jewish leaders, accompanied by letters of divine guidance.

In an open letter to Jewish groups he wrote in 2010, Minister Farrakhan stated: “I have pleaded with you over the years for a sensible, intelligent dialogue.

You have rejected me, and some Rabbis have given me terms for friendship that any self-respecting person could never accept. So with this truth in our hands and yours, and soon in the hands of tens of thousands, I again ask you for a dialogue.”

The same year, Minister Farrakhan also emailed Black leadership, stating in part, “These books that the Historical Research Department of the Nation of Islam has published, “The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews: How Jews Gained Control of the Black American Economy Volume 2”

And “Jews Selling Blacks” are being shared with our people to show us how we were completely undone and how others have benefited from what has happened and continues to happen to us. We cannot deal effectively with our so-called friends as men and women without this vital knowledge.”

He continued, “Whenever the Light of Truth has been shone on them, they reach for you to defend them against the Truth that uncovers the horror that has been done to us. They have always been successful pitting us against each other thus keeping them from facing the Truth of their real relationship with us.

As they call upon you to denounce me as an anti-Semite and, because of the favor you believe you owe them for what they have done to help make life comfortable for you; I am asking you to stand down. I am asking you to read this research and then discuss it with your Jewish friends.

Would you condemn me as an anti-Semite for exposing the research that shows them as being anti-Black? I am asking you to stand down and let them come out to me to defend their record and history of their relationship with us that we compiled from that which was written by their own scholars, historians, and Rabbis.”

For sincere alliances to be created, truth must be present. So, for the National Convening on the Black-Jewish Alliance, seek the guidance and wisdom that the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has already shared, offered and made available.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has been a faithful warner to the Government of America, world governments, Black and Indigenous people around the world and humanity in general. He has spoken hard truths that unnerve like an alarm bell.

Because of these truths, he has been falsely called and labeled a hater, anti-Semitic, and an enemy of the American people. But speaking truth and warning of approaching danger, even if it hurts, are the characteristics of a true friend.

American presidents are fond of the word “patriot.” Past presidents have called on Americans to be “patriotic” citizens and respond to their drumbeats for war and invasion of other nations under the false pretenses of America under attack or threats of terrorism.

They call on “patriots” to perform their duties even when the presidents themselves and Congress knowingly lie to justify invading or bombing other nations to overthrow regimes or gain access to mineral wealth.

The lives of many American soldiers have been lost based on these lies. Lies pulled America into the Vietnam War. Lies pulled American soldiers into invading Iraq.

Tens of thousands of innocent civilian lives have been lost on the receiving end of U.S. bombs and American weaponry supplied to Israel in their genocidal attempt to exterminate the people of Palestine, Lebanon and other Muslim nations.

Today, America is involved in a war against Iran, a war that was not declared by the U.S. Congress. The war does, however, complete a larger strategy launched by so-called neoconservatives in the late 1990s and significantly impacted by the administration of President George W. Bush.

That strategy, which accelerated after the 9/11 attacks on America, was to destabilize the Middle East by overthrowing the governments of seven Muslim nations—Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran.

At this writing, every one of those nations have been destabilized—except Iran.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has warned every U.S. president, from Ronald Reagan to Donald J. Trump, of the dangers of pulling the lynchpin into Armageddon, the war to end all wars spoken of in scripture.

He has repeated the forecast spoken by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, that once this war starts there would be blood “and plenty of it.”

Once Armageddon is in its full fury, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad told the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan that America would send their soldiers over in the tens of thousands, but they would come back in the fives and tens.

“I have been reading that the plans are already made for America to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Minister Farrakhan said in an April 8, 2007, message at Mosque Maryam, referencing the 2003 bombing of Iraq to remove leader Saddam Hussein. “The United States can’t win a ground war in Iraq, and it can’t win a ground war in Iran,” he continued.

The only way for America to defeat Iran is to use nuclear force under the pretense that America is destroying Iran’s nuclear capabilities, while all the time killing civilians, the Minister forecasted.

Minister Farrakhan warned President Trump in his first term (2016-2020) that his character and thinking would be to the detriment of his administration, a warning manifested more fully in his second administration.

Mr. Trump’s second administration has drawn the distrust of America’s closest ally, Canada, by suggesting that the U.S. could annex its northern neighbor.

He has caused distrust among allied European nations by unilaterally applying exorbitant tariffs on their exports, called countries nasty names, ridiculed friendly leaders and threatened to withdraw from NATO.

An April Alliance of Democracies Foundation survey confirmed Minister Farrakhan’s warning, showing that “[G]lobal perceptions of the U.S. have deteriorated for a second consecutive year and are now worse than views of Russia.”

The Denmark-based foundation said the U.S. was also most frequently named in response to which country posed the greatest threat to the world, after Russia and Israel, Reuters reported.

Minister Farrakhan has warned that Mr. Trump’s plan for American dominance through fear is what is pushing smaller nations to want weapons of mass destruction. Mr. Trump invaded Venezuela and kidnapped its president, Nicolas Maduro and his wife, while also taking control of that nation’s oil exports and revenues.

Even as he pursues war in Iran, Mr. Trump has announced Cuba as his next target—announcing indictments on former Cuban President Raul Castro, increased the military presence in the Gulf, placed economic sanctions and an oil embargo that have caused near 24-hour power outages and Cuban suffering.

In the book “Closing The Gap” by Brother Jabril Muhammad, Minister Farrakhan said in answer to a question, that obtaining a nuclear weapon is a deterrent to American aggression.

“To make Syria afraid; to make Iran afraid; to make North Korea afraid; to make any little, small nation afraid is to say to them as the scripture says, ‘Wake up the mighty men of war. And let them turn their plow shares and their pruning hooks into spears and swords’ because this is a time of global war.

“Their efforts for peace may be noble, but they will not come to pass until war has decimated the warmongers. And many, many, many, many millions of human lives will be lost,” he said.

To Muslim leaders in the Middle East, Minister Farrakhan warned in a Nov. 8, 2018, news conference in Tehran, Iran, that President Trump is “making toxic the divisions between Sunni and Shia” Muslims and “openly saying they should reject their brother Iran.” He said new sanctions on Iran is the predicate for a new war.

“I am begging our president and the government that support him to be very, very careful because if the trigger of war in the Middle East is pulled by you using your surrogates at the insistence of Israel, then the war will trigger another kind of war that would bring China, Russia, all of the nations into a war,” Minister Farrakhan said.

“It bothers me to say this to you, Mr. President, but the war will end America as we know it. I am a warner to you. I am a friend to America, not an enemy. But if you do not heed the warning and correct your path, death will come.” —James G. Muhammad, Contributing Editor

Maya Angelou, the late poet, is often credited with the saying, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them.” The full quote is actually, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. People know themselves much better than you do. That’s why it’s important to stop expecting them to be something other than who they are.”

When it comes to the U.S. government, the White power structure in this country and White people and their treatment of and toward Black people, what Ms. Angelou said has been proven true time and time again.

They have shown us who and what they are. So, we must stop expecting something different. There is a plethora of historic and current examples of this; too many to keep track. But we only must look over the past few days to see even more examples.

The continued attack and dismantling of Black studies curricula on all levels of education is a deliberate strategy to attempt to erase the tremendous contributions our people have made and continue to make not only to America, but the world.

They hate our very shadow, so what better strategy than to target academic institutions? A recent article published on The Nation, titled “Dismantling Black Studies,” examined this deliberate tactic.

The article listed several institutions of higher education that have either totally dismantled or watered down Black or African Studies departments, curricula or programs and also legislation that have targeted such programs.

According to the article, Florida’s Senate Bill 266 stripped Black-studies courses of their general-education status and cut the research funding that faculty depend on and Kentucky’s House Bill 4 suspended the University of Louisville’s Pan-African Studies doctoral program and eliminated all graduate assistantships.

“Black studies is where the attack has been the most deliberate, the most structural, and the most revealing of what is at stake. In recent months, university leaders have dismantled departments and deliberately narrowed the pipeline producing the next generation of Black scholars. What is happening is not just a series of isolated bureaucratic decisions; it is a coordinated assault,” the article states.

This is just one example. Then there are deliberate targeting and attack on anything Black folks attempt to do “for us by us.” A White dermatologist along with what is being described as a “conservative advocacy group” had the nerve to file a federal lawsuit against the online platform Find A Black Doctor.

The lawsuit alleges racial discrimination because the directory limits its physician listings to Black doctors and dentists. Statics have proven that Black patients received better care from Black healthcare professionals. It is highly doubtful this White dermatologist has the desire to truly care for and treat Black patients.

White folks, who still control the wealth and levers of power in politics, business, academia and are dusting off the tired, non-existent “reverse racism/reverse discrimination” card as a last resort to hold onto a power that they see they are losing their grip on.

And, just like in the past, they are using the tools at their disposal in various levels of government to do their bidding to on to power.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has been actively soliciting White men to file workplace discrimination charges, if someone Black or non-White gets a position that in their arrogance, they think rightfully belongs to them.

As Allah (God) is breaking America and the Caucasian’s grip on power, their tactics become more desperate, and they are becoming more emboldened.

As each day goes by, our open enemy continues to show us that they are disagreeable to live with in peace. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad told His National Representative.

The Honorable Minister Farrakhan, that when the children of Israel rebelled against Moses and Aaron and did not want to leave their slavemaster to build an independent nation of their own under the guidance of Allah (God) that He chastised them with fiery serpents and cockatrices.

“The Honorable Elijah Muhammad asked me one day, ‘do you know what it means, fiery serpents?’ I said, ‘no sir.’ He said, ‘It means angry White people,’” Minister Farrakhan said during a May 9, 2017, interview on WVON 1690AM Talk of Chicago radio with host Cliff Kelley, during President Donald Trump’s first term in office.

“White people are getting more and more angry every day, and as I said on this same wonderful program before, Mr. Trump was elected that the mask of civility—like an onion peeling—is being peeled off. Now naked hatred, not only in word but in deed, is being openly shown to us,” Minister Farrakhan said.

This naked hatred is increasing and like they always have, angry Whites are using the power of the U.S. government as a tool in their hatred.

Minister Farrakhan in answering a question from The Final Call, stated the following about the U.S. government during his Holy Day of Atonement Message in 2003: “this government of the United States is our worst enemy.”

“As long as the Children of Israel saw Pharaoh as a friend, they could not see Moses and Jehovah as their true friend. As they came into consciousness—by the wicked things that Pharaoh continued to do against them—that Pharaoh was indeed their enemy, then Moses and Jehovah’s call to them to separate from Pharaoh to build a nation of their own became a reality.

“As long as we see America and her wealth as something that we want, we will never leave Pharaoh. As God’s hand touched the wealth of Pharaoh, it is now touching the wealth of America.

As the Black man and woman become more awakened to the wicked machinations of government, the aim is the same today: We should never be free of their influence and power.

“As Abraham Lincoln said, if there is to be a superior position, he would rather that superior position be assigned to the White race. That superior position must be protected by those who believe in White supremacy and they will do everything in their power to make sure that that position will always be throughout the generations,” Minister Farrakhan said.

He added, “So, our path is clear: We refuse to be inferior. We want to be exactly what Allah (God) has desired for us to be and we can’t be that in their house. We either have to take over their house or go and build a house of our own.”

Like Minister Farrakhan said, our path is clear. The U.S. government and White folks have shown us who and what they are. The question for us is: Do we finally believe them?

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, compared America to a serpent that has wrapped and weaved itself around the world. There is a famous cartoon that was published in Muhammad Speaks newspaper that perfectly visually illustrated His point.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, has referenced this illustration in several of his messages in describing what he calls “America’s errant foreign policy.”

In His book “Message to the Blackman in America,” on page 122, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad referenced scripture in describing the serpent.

“That old serpent, called the devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world (Rev. 12:19) is a person or persons whose characteristics are like that of a serpent (snake). Serpents or snakes of the grafted type cannot be trusted, for they will strike you when you are not expecting a strike.”

It was recently announced by the Trump administration that the U.S. and Nigeria reportedly carried out what is being called a “joint mission,” which targeted and killed Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, reportedly a key figure in the hierarchy of ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), also referred to as IS (Islamic State).

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, in a statement, acknowledged the joint operation, which also reportedly killed several of al-Minuki’s “lieutenants.”

We have seen this scenario play out before in terms of America inserting itself into the affairs of sovereign countries, including those in Africa, and in the Arab and Muslim world, some of whom have opened themselves up to America.

According to several news sources, the U.S. currently has about 29 military bases across approximately 15 countries in Africa, and in the Middle East, the number is reportedly close to two dozen.

While the U.S. does not yet have a base in Nigeria, AFRICOM (U.S. Africa Command) is present, further embedding the U.S. on the continent and, one might argue, it is causing more problems.

“In the past 15 years, the U.S. government has quietly expanded its military footprint across the African continent, engaging in ‘special operations’ with African troops in the name of security. Since the 2007 establishment of the Africa Command (AFRICOM).

The defense department’s regional combatant command for Africa, the U.S. has adopted a military-first approach to securing its interests on the continent,” wrote Samar al-Bulushi in a 2023 article, “What Is AFRICOM? How the U.S. Military is Militarizing and Destabilizing Africa.”

“This has had disastrous effects. Whether it’s the seemingly endless (undeclared) war against the militant group Al-Shabaab in Somalia or the wave of coups (in many cases led by U.S.-trained officers), AFRICOM has contributed to the very instability it claims to address,” al-Bulushi noted.

Prior to this recent military operation in Nigeria, in November of 2025, President Donald Trump threatened to put boots on the ground in Nigeria under the guise of reportedly “protecting Christians” from being “persecuted” by Muslims.

Nigeria is a very diverse country and Africa’s most populous nation, with a population of 237.5 million. Nigeria is home to hundreds of tribes and people who speak multiple dialects and languages. Muslims and Christians reside there. It is also a mineral-rich country.

Despite the U.S. often using “democracy” and “fighting terrorism” as justification for engaging in military operations abroad, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has exposed the true motive, which is to cause brother to rise up against brother, thereby opening the door for America to take advantage and gain control of the wealth and resources that rightfully belong to that country.

In Part 34 of his 2013, 58- week lecture series “The Time and What Must Be Done,” Minister Farrakhan said, “America doesn’t care about ‘democracy’ if that democracy brings into power people that she does not want, that will not be amenable to her foreign-policy objectives and her national interest.

As a result of such planning, based on war mongering, the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), the NSA (National Security Agency) and the government of the United States of America would engage, covertly, in creating and exploiting differences that naturally exist in all nations.

And put money behind these differences that would one day explode into possible civil war, fratricidal conflict, death and destruction—based on the lies of the mischief making of this Mischief Maker and Universal Blood Shedder.”

In his message, though, Minister Farrakhan was speaking at the time about Syria, a Muslim nation in the Middle East; America’s goals and objectives then are the same today. It enacts its modus operandi (method of operation) without hesitation and it has for decades.

“Every time there has been a so-called democratic election in the Muslim world, that brought so-called Islamists into political power, America worked to destroy that democratically elected government.

Which shows that America is not interested in a democratically elected government that produces a government that she is not in control of, and cannot have free access to the natural resources of that nation,” Minister Farrakhan added.

Additionally, in part 12 of that same lecture series, Minister Farrakhan warned America, citing the Holy Qur’an, that every nation has a fixed and limited term. He quotes Surah (Chapter 7), Ayat (Verse) 34, which states: “And every nation has a term; so when its term comes, they cannot remain behind the least while, nor can they precede (it).”

Like his teacher, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Minister Farrakhan has consistently and constantly warned that Allah (God) will judge and ultimately punish America for its misdeeds committed “at home” but also “abroad.”

“It is our Sacred Duty to warn America that the ‘term’—a fixed term—of her power to exercise authority and rule not only over her own citizens, but over the peoples of the Earth: That term is fast coming to an end.”

The U.S. always presents itself as a benevolent and helpful ally and friend to the other nations of the world when it comes to fighting so-called terrorism or extremism. But as history has shown time and time again, America is the biggest terrorist of them all. There is an old saying: “Beware of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

The U.S. has functioned as a snake or serpent in its dealings, always swooping in under the guise of playing the hero for a chaotic situation it helped foster.

For Nigeria and other nations of the Earth, when America comes in extending its hand and offering its “support,” “friendship,” and “help,” be very careful, but more importantly, as the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad forewarned, serpents cannot be trusted, and “Beware of false promises.”

The Black community in the U.S. has been and continues to be in crisis under historically oppressive conditions in the United States of America, not unlike but to a greater degree than our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean and South America, who also were victims of the Trans-atlantic Slave Trade.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, causes and teaches us to understand that the mental, moral and even physical deterioration of our health is a result of the miseducation and mistreatment of the Black man and woman by the slave master and his children.

Psychological sciences testify to the effect that historical traumas have on the attitudes and, therefore, actions of our people. A study of epigenetics rewards our research.

Hatred of self was instilled in our ancestors for centuries as they suffered horrible abuse. Babies were separated from their parents and raised by our enemies;

Fear of the slave master was seared into the core of our being as we watched the rebellious ones among us tortured and brutally killed before our eyes. This created negative inbred attitudes and behaviors that we exhibit today.

That is a reason the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan pronounced the National Center—Mosque Maryam and Muhammad University of Islam—a center for retraining and re-education for the Black man and woman.

Some of us have been able to reach heights of success unimaginable by our ancestors. Nevertheless, as the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches, no single individual can rise above the condition of his or her people.

If your people are viewed as not worthy of respect, then the individual’s success and status in life isn’t really what it appears to be. Given the right circumstances, that individual would be told where his or her place is.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad worked tirelessly for more than 40 years to liberate the Black man and woman physically and mentally from the chains of oppression of White society. He called for separation: “

Since we cannot get along with them [Whites] in peace and equality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat and blood and receiving in return some of the worst treatment human beings have ever experienced.

We believe our contributions to this land and the suffering forced upon us by White America, justifies our demand for complete separation in a state or territory of our own.”

He tries to reach our minds through His publications “Message to the Blackman in America,” “Our Saviour Has Arrived,” “The Fall of America,” “How to Eat to Live,” Books 1 & 2, and other writings.

He labeled White people as “the devil” and “the enemy.” Many of us thought he was name-calling, when, in fact, He was and is describing the nature and actions of Whites, past and present, toward not only Black people in the U.S., but around the world.

Blacks in Africa, South America, the Caribbean, and Asia cry out for the foot of colonialism to be lifted from their necks. Search every continent and you will find that, generally, Whites are in power or the lighter skin is placed higher in society than the darker. It’s a sickness.

America and Europe salivate over the mineral riches of Africa; the same ones whose boot has been on the necks of African rulers under colonialism and the slave trade. Today, they take a kinder, gentler approach to gain access to mineral wealth unless they are forced to threaten those nations with military options—examples are Venezuela and Cuba.

Why are Black leaders who seek independence for their people castigated and even killed for their ideas for liberation? The list includes Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, Kwame Nkrumah, Amilcar Cabral … even the great Nelson Mandela of South Africa was once labeled a “terrorist.”

Today’s threat to the White power structures in Africa comes from leaders like Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso and others in the region who have kicked France out and are trying to empower the people based on terms of independence.

The enemy is very scientific. He knows he can’t assassinate or imprison a popular leader without first maligning their character and turning the people against the leader with lies.

The people backed the historical Jesus until his enemies branded him a threat despite the miracles he performed. He was crucified with criminals. The enemy’s pattern has not changed.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Harriett Tubman and others who fought for Black freedom have U.S. postage stamps with their faces on them. They are dead now and are no longer a threat to the power structure, except through their words.

But their images and ideas are controlled by a media that perpetuates the softer stance these leaders represented rather than their liberation messages.

Martin’s image today is as a “dreamer” rather than an opponent of the war in Vietnam and his fight for economic justice that he expressed toward the end of his life. He would be in opposition to the genocide in Palestine and the war with Iran if he were alive today.

Malcolm’s message from the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad revolutionized the Black nationalist and later the Pan-African movements before his death. The U.S. government is at the root of their assassinations.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Minister Farrakhan continue to preach that our unity is more powerful than an atomic or hydrogen bomb. That’s the kind of power that keeps an enemy at bay.

One reason the U.S. and Israel are at war with Iran is that they do not want Iran to have nuclear weapons, even though they both have them, and the U.S. is the only nation that has used an atomic weapon on a population.

The enemy does not want to see Black people unified because our unity is just that powerful!

—James G. Muhammad, Contributing Editor

Over the past year, since President Donald Trump has been back in office serving his second term, there has been panic, anger, and concern about slashes and cuts to government safety-net programs, the dismantling of “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) programs, the uptick in unemployment, the “white-washing” of Black history in schools, and much more.

Despite our over 400-year sojourn in America, our civil rights brothers and sisters’ tireless pursuit of integration into what the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. described as “a burning house” is increasingly futile with each passing day.

The U.S. economy is on the decline, at least for most of the population who are not wealthy, which includes the majority of Blacks, Latinos, and Indigenous populations.

The recent job numbers released in March by the U.S. government show that the unemployment rate for Black people is 7.1%. Much has been written about the reported 300,000 Black women who have lost jobs, many because of the DEI dismantling.

According to the Economic Policy Institute, “The Trump administration’s attacks on federal workers and DEI reveal its lack of concern for closing labor market disparities;

It is not surprising that the aggregate increase in unemployment masks large differences in impact across racial groups. Black workers saw the worst of the labor market slowdown through 2025, with college-educated Black women particularly impacted by job losses.”

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities noted, in an article from August 2025, that there is a “triple threat to Black households’ economic well-being” being implemented by the current administration, including:

The elimination of food assistance and health benefits, the cutting of the federal workforce, and the current tariffs, which are leading to rising prices among other fallout.

“Taken together, this agenda hurts low- and moderate-income people, families, and communities of all races and Black people, families, and communities especially,” noted the center on its website, cbpp.org.

However, all that we see unfolding right before our eyes was prophesied and taught for decades by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Like ancient empires such as Babylon and Rome, America’s time is at hand, so teaches the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

In His book, “The Fall of America,” in the chapter, “The Troubled America: No Peace,” the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes in part, “America, in trying to hold her place as the greatest power among nations of earth, is one of the most troubled countries on earth today.”

Today, others are also seeing the writing on the wall.

“America is approaching its 250th birthday. That is no small achievement. Empires rarely last that long. It has been a remarkable run. But longevity doesn’t guarantee vitality.

What once powered American dominance—productive labor, demographic confidence, institutional trust, and cultural gravity—is steadily eroding,” wrote John Mac Ghlionn in an opinion piece published January 2, on The Hill, titled, “The American empire has entered its final act.”

A recent poll conducted by the University of Massachusetts Amherst revealed that fewer than one-quarter of Americans view the U.S. economy in a positive light and the nation heading in the right direction.

The poll surveyed 1,000 people of various backgrounds and was conducted in March. Sixty-five percent of those surveyed also said the country “is on the wrong track” which was an increase from 59% from July 2025.

There is an old adage that says, “When America gets or catches a cold, Black people get or catch the flu or pneumonia.” However, we have a Supreme Physician who has given us a Divine, spiritual medicine and teaching to prepare us in the midst of the fall and unraveling of a great nation.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad not only warned us from Almighty God (Allah), Who Came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, of what was to come, but He also gave us the blueprint for what Black people must do to survive the fall.

Read, digest and study the wisdom outlined in the books of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, including “Message to the Blackman in America,” “The Fall of America,” and “Our Saviour Has Arrived.”

If we view it properly, what is unfolding can be seen as a blessing. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his National Representative, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, have taught us of the “old world going out and a new world coming in.”

As the wicked world of the Caucasian continues to crumble and erode, the opposition to our success and rise will increase. However, the plans of our 400-year-old enemy will fail, as taught by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

In a message delivered on April 30, 2016, titled “Let Us Make Man: Uplifting Our Black and Hispanic Young Men,” Minister Farrakhan posed the question of why White people are in such opposition to the upliftment, resurrection and success of the Original Man.

“Why are they opposed to our rise? Because the rise of the Black man means the fall of the White man—so he must keep you down in order for him to stay up,” he said. Minister Farrakhan continued, stating, “So, God has come to break that all the way up; no matter what kind of power he has, the White Man will never be able to stop our rise.”

The fall of America, as taught by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, is upon us. However, we do not have to go down with it. Hold fast to the rope of Allah (God) and take heed to the Divine Wisdom and Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, for these Divine Men hold the keys to our salvation. We would all be wise to pay attention, study and work for the rise of our people.

The UN General Assembly (UNGA) recently adopted a resolution that declared the Transatlantic Slave Trade “the gravest crime against humanity,” which it is. It does not take a resolution to understand that harsh reality. Black men, women, and children were kidnapped from Africa and murdered, brutalized, raped, tortured, and treated like property.

Our ancestors were jammed into the holds of ships and taken thousands of miles to the Caribbean, and North, Central, and South America, where generations of Black people were forced to do the bidding of White slave masters and build their “heaven on earth.”

The residual scars of this crime against humanity are still being felt by Black people today, regardless of where we live. What was done to our people is unimaginable, but it happened. No amount of trying to gloss over, erase or downplay what Black people have suffered will make us forget. We should never forget.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, explained that the condition of Black people in America is a direct result of what we have suffered at the hands of the White slave master and their children.

“Our condition and lack of love for ourselves must be attributed to the slave-master. He has been our teacher until the coming of Almighty God, Allah. The slave-master has robbed my people of their God, religion, name, language and culture,” He writes on page 37 of “Message To The Blackman in America.”

He continues, “The worst kind of crime has been committed against us, for we were robbed of our desire to even want to think and do for ourselves.

We are often pictured by the slave-master as a lazy and trifling people who are without thoughts of advancement. I say, this is a condition which the slave-master very cleverly wanted and created within and among the so-called Negroes.”

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, in speaking to a group of Black youth in 2015 in a message titled, “Love Yourself:

The Original People of The Earth,” told them, “… during the Transatlantic Slave Trade, a crime against humanity was committed, and our ancestors were brought not to America as immigrants seeking a better life, we came in the holds of ships as slaves; and for 310 years we were considered chattel slaves.

‘Chattel,’ meaning that as you owned horses or dogs or pigs, and you branded them so that others may know that you own them, the slave master named us after our owners.”

The United States and other European countries waxed rich off the blood, sweat and tears of enslaved Black people. Today, several corporations and wealthy White families owe their generational wealth to the backbreaking work Black bodies endured. Black people built the “wall” that is now named for Wall Street in New York.

An excerpt from “Shocking List of 10 Companies that Profited from the Slave Trade,” posted on Your Black World, noted, “It is no secret that slavery rests at the foundation of American capitalism and is often synonymous with the sugar, tobacco, and/or cotton plantations that fueled the Southern economy.

What many may not know is that slavery also rests at the foundation of many notable corporations. From New York Life to Bank of America, several companies have benefited from slavery.”

So, while the UN resolution acknowledged this historic wrong by the countries that voted “yes,” what will come of it remains to be seen. In the March 25 vote, 123 countries voted for the resolution and 52 countries abstained.

The 52 that abstained included the UK and all European Union member states. And it should come as no surprise that the U.S., Israel, and Argentina were the three countries that voted against the resolution.

The UN resolution was spearheaded by Ghana and other African Union member states, which is the largest regional bloc within the UN. Speaking at an event the day before the vote, Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama said that “The entire Transatlantic Slave Trade was designed to deny African people their humanity.”

He also stated, “I speak these words today not only for Ghana, but also in solidarity with the rest of Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, the wider Diaspora and, indeed, all people of good conscience throughout the world. This resolution is a pathway to healing and reparative justice. This resolution is a safeguard against forgetting.”

There have been many discussions, recommendations and suggestions about what this “repair” or “reparations” should be. There have been several of our people in America who love us and who have worked tirelessly in the reparations movement.

The late “Queen Mother” Audley Moore, Dr. Conrad Worrill, Representative John Conyers of Michigan and groups like N’COBRA (National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America), were proponents of reparations. Today, others have picked up that mantle.

The UN vote, while important, is non-binding. Analysts say the vote sends an “important message.” However, will it be more symbolism without substance?

The fact is, Black people, whether descendants of enslaved people in the U.S., Brazil, Haiti, Jamaica, or other countries, are owed true freedom, justice, and equality. Minister Farrakhan has taught that all who had a role in the enslavement of our people must be held accountable. But he has explained the role of “reparations,” and what it truly means.

“In order to gain reparations, one must appeal to a government that may or may not listen. But the Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that, when we lie down, justice lies down with us, and when we get up, justice gets up with us.

Justice is not concerned with the World Court or the International Criminal Court or the local judge or the local court,” Minister Farrakhan said in his Saviours’ Day 2004 message, “Reparations: What does America and Europe Owe? What does Allah (God) Promise?”

“The justice with which God has set the balance in the universe caused Jesus to say: ‘He who lives by the sword will die by the sword.’ ‘He who has led into captivity will go into captivity.’

‘A man shall reap what he sows.’ The Prophet Obadiah says, ‘As thou has done, so shall it be done unto you.’ These laws of justice have nothing to do with man’s courts; they have everything to do with the highest Court, the Universal Court of the Divine Supreme Being,” he said.

Regardless of UN resolutions, Allah (God) is our Patron and is with us and we must be with Him. The historic suffering of our people was and is not in vain.

Minister Farrakhan said it best, in another message, “A Case for Reparations: Add it Up!” delivered on April 28, 1990.

“The way God looks at this thing, the present generation of Whites, they didn’t do this to us. The present generation of Whites are innocent of what their grandfathers did, but they are in a privileged position because of what their fathers did; and we’re in a hell of a condition because of what their fathers did.

So, if you, the present generation of Whites, want to escape what is justly due, then they’ve got to do the right thing. They’ve got to do justice by the Black man.”

Allah (God) will see to it.

Surah (Chapter) 5, Ayat (Verse) 99 of the Holy Qur’an states: “The duty of the Messenger is only to deliver (the message). And Allah knows what you do openly and what you hide.”

The critical dilemma for President Donald J. Trump and the American government is, do they recognize the “Messenger” and the message present in the world today; and do they recognize the consequences of ignoring the message?

In truth, it is a message for the world and its peoples, but the primary target of the message today is America, teaches the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam.

She is coming face-to-face with the consequences of ignoring the warning that has been heralded for the last 90 years by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his National Representative, the messenger in our midst today, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad detailed His warnings of Allah’s (God’s) Judgment for this nation in His epic book titled “The Fall of America.” From cover to cover, the chapters reveal why America is under Divine Judgment and how her end will come if the warning is ignored.

The book warns the government that “every nation has a term” and demonstrates what brought governments of the past to the end of their term. The book foretells the chaos and dissatisfaction among the people that exist today in America.

He writes about how the weather and natural disasters—rain, hail, snow and earthquakes—would be used to immobilize the country. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad talked about how rising coastal waters would force people to move inland. He warns how governments of Central and South America would feign friendship with America but would ultimately turn against her.

Most importantly, and most revealing to the public, is a chapter about a “Mother Plane,” wheels within a wheel prophetically seen by Prophet Ezekiel. Evidence of this so-called UFO was among “top secret” documents withheld from the public until recent years by the government of America.

In the 1940s, the FBI raided the home of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, who at that time was publicly speaking of the reality of a “Mother Plane,” and seized documents and drawings from the temple describing the wheel.

In 1989, during a press conference in Washington, D.C., Minister Farrakhan detailed a vision-like experience he had on the Wheel where the Honorable Elijah Muhammad revealed to him that then-President Ronald Reagan had met with the Joint Chiefs of Staff to plan a war.

During the press conference, Minister Farrakhan spoke of the Mother Plane, adding, “Before you will be able to establish your mockery of me … for what was revealed to me in the Wheel you will see these wheels.

Or what you call UFOs, in abundance over the major cities of America and the calamities that America is presently experiencing will increase in number and in intensity that you might humble yourselves to the Warning contained in this Announcement.”

Shortly thereafter, television news video footage showed these wheels above Washington, D.C., and they have been seen above cities around the world ever since.

Also shortly thereafter, several major publications reported on what was unknown to the public at the time but revealed by Minister Farrakhan during his press conference—that President Reagan had met with his Joint Chiefs of Staff to plan a war that Minister Farrakhan later came to learn was against a Muslim nation, then identified as Libya.

Allah (God) raises messengers in a nation to spare that nation from His judgment. History is replete with such messengers and warnings—from Noah to Abraham to Lot to Moses to Jesus. The Holy Qur’an speaks of each of these divine men, but also prophets not mentioned in the Bible by name—Hud, Salih, and Muhammad (peace be upon him).

These prophets appealed to arrogant kings, pharaohs and rulers to turn from their wicked ways because their “term” in the world was coming to an end. They appealed to the people to heed the message so their lives could be spared.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they ignored the warning. Noah’s people realized the truth of the prophet’s teaching when a flood consumed them. God’s Judgment of Nineveh was delayed because the ruler and the people heeded Prophet Jonah’s appeal. Pharaoh died, but the people of Moses lived because they obeyed the message.

Are these narratives in scripture just stories to entertain us today, or are they prophetic teachings to warn a future ruler living in what scriptures call “the last days?”

Today’s equivalent of a king or pharaoh would be a president. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches that the “Mystery Babylon” spoken of in the Bible is a description of America. Minister Farrakhan has warned that Allah (God) is present today to set down the rulers of the world in order that Allah’s (God’s) Kingdom can be established.

“And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.” –Revelation 17:5 KJV

“I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.”—Revelation 17:6 NIV

President Trump presides over the Mystery Babylon that the Bible says has become an abomination that He plans to destroy for her treatment of His “holy people,” the real Children of Israel who have suffered more than 400 years in a land not their own—the Black man and woman of America.

The Bible says to the Black man and woman, “come out of her My people” so we may not suffer the Wrath of Allah (God) on America for ignoring the warning.

President Trump can still delay God’s Judgment on America and extend her term by giving justice to His people, teaches the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. But time is quickly running out.

According to the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, there are certain “rights” afforded to the American people. The First Amendment is supposed to protect freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly and petition. According to an article published on the website of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), “At its core, freedom of the press means the government can’t control what the media publishes, and it can’t punish journalists just because they reported something uncomfortable, controversial, or critical.”

Of course, for Black people in this country, these “freedoms” have always come with restrictions and limitations.

The recent arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, for reporting on and filming an anti-ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) protest held Jan. 18 at a church in Minneapolis, have sent shockwaves and panic throughout many media and non-media circles.

Mr. Lemon, a former CNN host who is now an independent journalist, and Ms. Fort, a Minnesota-based independent journalist, were both arrested by federal authorities. Both are Black. Ms. Fort also serves as vice president of the Minnesota chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

What is their alleged crime, according to the federal government? Doing their job as members of the press. Mr. Lemon and Ms. Fort maintain they were at the church, not as participants in the protests, but as members of the media reporting on the events.

Minneapolis and the Twin Cities area have been in the national spotlight as ICE and Border Patrol agents have been in the city as part of an immigration enforcement operation called “Operation Metro Surge.”

Two other individuals, reportedly activists who were at the church protest, were also arrested. Trahern Jeen Crews and Jamael Lydell Lundy are also Black.

According to media reports, Mr. Lemon was in Los Angeles to cover the Grammy Awards when he was arrested Jan. 29 around 11 p.m. “More than two dozen agents from Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI arrested him, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the operation. His case is being led by HSI,” CNN reported.

Ms. Fort, an award-winning media professional, actually live-streamed her ordeal before she surrendered herself willingly to agents who had come to her home the morning of Jan. 29.

Both have since been released. However, their arrests caused some panic. There is growing concern that speech and press freedoms are under increasing attack by the current presidential administration.

Mr. Lemon has been highly critical of President Donald Trump and his administration. Just a few days before his arrest, a magistrate judge had already declined to issue arrest warrants against Mr. Lemon and others for their presence at the church, finding insufficient evidence.

According to media reports, he is being hit with federal civil rights charges after a grand jury in Minnesota indicted him on charges of conspiracy and interfering with the First Amendment rights of worshippers during the Jan.

18 protest at the Cities Church in St. Paul, where a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official is a pastor, Associated Press reported. Ms. Fort is facing the same accusations.

After his release, Mr. Lemon told reporters, “I will not be silenced,” adding, “I have spent my entire career covering the news. I will not stop now. In fact, there is no more important time than right now, this very moment, for a free and independent media that shines a light on the truth and holds those in power accountable.”

Georgia Fort Photo mspmag.com

NABJ and other media organizations were swift in condemning the arrests of Mr. Lemon and Ms. Fort. “The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is outraged and deeply alarmed by the arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort by federal agents.

And by the government’s escalating effort and actions to criminalize and threaten press freedom under the guise of law enforcement,” the statement read in part. It was released Jan. 30 and was signed in solidarity by other organizations, including:

Amnesty International USA, Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association, Asian American Journalists Association, Association of Foreign Correspondents in the USA, Center for Journalism & Democracy, Committee to Protect Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), and several others.

“NABJ calls on federal authorities to immediately clarify the legal justification for these arrests and to halt all retaliatory posture toward journalists that undermine constitutional press protections,” the statement continued.

Rapper-turned-actor Tracy Marrow, better known as Ice-T, released an album in 1989 titled “The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech … Just Watch What You Say!” Lately, it seems as though it is more like, “Freedom of the press, just watch what you say, write, report or cover,” in your line of duty.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, in a message he delivered to the National Association of Black Journalists on August 21, 1996, spoke on the importance of a free press.

Minister Farrakhan, like his teacher, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam, understood the media’s role in society and the importance of reporting the truth and stories relevant to our communities.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad published two newspapers, “The Final Call to Islam” in the 1930s and later in the 1960s and 1970s, “Muhammad Speaks.”

Today, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is the publisher of The Final Call newspaper, which is “A Message Dedicated to the Resurrection of the Black Man and Woman of America and the World.”

The mission of journalists should be to report facts and truth accurately and without fear of reprisal or interference from anyone, including local, state, or federal government.

“Without a free press, there is no real democracy. Free Press, what does that really mean? That you’re free, yes, to state your ideas, thoughts and opinions in a democratic society. But a free press is not a controlled press.

A free press is that—free to determine what the truth is and to write and speak that truth to the betterment of that society,” Minister Farrakhan said in his message to NABJ in 1996.

“The Founding Fathers of this great nation knew that in order to protect this nation and to keep it forever in the light of God, perpetually moving toward perfection, Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press and Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Assembly must be protected.

Without Free Speech, we are hindered from saying the things that might correct a democracy that has gone off course. Without a Free Press, we cannot say the things that would keep the nation (America) from falling into the abyss after the nation reaches its zenith and becomes wealthy and powerful and influential, yet corrupt.”

There is an attack on freedom and truth today; however, we must be undeterred, unbossed, unbowed, and unafraid—as Minister Farrakhan teaches us—to write and speak the truth, regardless of whom or what.

Mr. Al-Shaair is the latest in a long line of Black sports figures taking a non-violent stand on critical issues such as human rights and racial equality.

The 28 year old recently wore his eye black, emblazoned with “Stop the Genocide,” in reference to the ongoing slaughter of the Palestinian people by Israel.

According to reports, Mr. Al-Shaair initially wore the eye black on Jan. 12 during a game and during his post-game interview, and was fined $11,593 by the NFL before wearing it again on Jan. 18. However, he removed it when officials reportedly threatened to pull him from the game.

Regarding the fine, the NFL cited its “rule” which it states bans players from displaying “personal” messages. This restriction is applicable “Throughout the period on game day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warmups.

In the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field),” unless the message has been pre-approved by the league office.

So, regardless of the continued slaughter of over 73,000 mostly women and children in Gaza and the atrocities suffered by the Palestinians at the hands of Israel and backed by U.S. weaponry, the NFL wants to make sure its players get “permission” to acknowledge human suffering even if it is done in a simple gesture.

But then again, this is the same league that punished star quarterback Colin Kaepernick for his simple, non-violent gesture of kneeling during the National Anthem to call attention to the killing of Black people at the hands of police.

By all accounts, Mr. Al-Shaair has been an advocate for Palestinians, so what he did was not out of the norm. According to Roya News, Mr. Al-Shaair was this season’s Texans’ Walter Payton Man of the Year for his community work and he “is a devout Muslim who has long publicly supported Palestinian causes.”

According to the Houston Chronicle, “During the NFL’s ‘My Cause, My Cleats’ campaign the past few seasons, he’s worn custom cleats to support the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

In 2024, his custom cleats read ‘FREE’ on one side, with the other side including a verse from the Quran: ‘Surely to Allah we belong and to him we will all return.’ He also has sat down with Gaza families who have been receiving medical treatment in Houston.”

Black athletes and entertainers are often criticized if they are not vocal when it comes to important issues. It is wonderful to see this young, Black man take a stand on behalf of a suffering people. For Mr. Al-Shaair, his reasoning for his small gesture was a simple one.

“At the end of the day, it’s bigger than me,” he told The Houston Chronicle after his team lost its Jan. 18 playoff game. “The things that are going on make people uncomfortable, imagine how those people feel.

I think that’s the biggest thing. I have no affiliation, no connection to these people other than the fact that I’m a human being. If you have a heart and you’re a human being, you can see what’s going on in the world and you check yourself real quick.

Even when I’m walking off this field, that’s the type of stuff that goes through my head that I have to check myself when I’m sitting here crying about football when there’s people dying every single day,” he said.

As people who have suffered and continue to suffer, we should be especially sensitive to the suffering of others. For those who may not understand why the Palestinian “issue” is an important issue, the answer is simple: they are human beings who are suffering.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, National Representative of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Eternal Leader of the Nation of Islam spoke about how he feels, seeing the suffering of the Palestinians, which has been going on for decades.

“The anguish that I feel started with Gaza: Helpless Palestinians against the armed might of Israel with weapons given to them by America. You tell me about ‘terror’…

You tell me how helicopter gunships, F-16s, tanks and an arsenal of armaments that are designed on explosion to rip human bodies apart—you tell me who the real ‘terrorist’ is! I’m not a Jew.

I’m not a Palestinian. I’m a human being. But if my heart, as a human, does not ache for the suffering of our people—fellow human beings, fellow sufferers and travelers on the Earth—then I am dead morally and spiritually,” Minister Farrakhan said in his 2014 message, “The Troubled World: What Should We Be Doing?”

Ten years later, during his 2024 Saviours’ Day message, “What Does Allah The Great Mahdi And The Great Messiah Have To Say About The War In The Middle East,” Minister Farrakhan, explained that he had been baptizing himself in the pain of the Palestinian people.

“Brothers and sisters, that is our family. You may not think that, but it’s okay; you have to grow beyond yourself, and you have to know there are people in this world that are connected to you far beyond your own Black skin,” he said.

“If you could look at their suffering, and it don’t move you, you have lost your humanity. If you can see a dog suffer and have compassion … If you can see your favorite horse suffer, where you’ve got to put him down, you feel pain!

Palestinian mothers are crying over the loss of their children! I watched them cry; I watched them touch their babies that are dead, and don’t want to let the baby go to be buried,” Minister Farrakhan said.

“That’s not a barbarian feeling, that’s a human feeling. I saw Jews that were suffering, too, burying their dead, and weeping as the Palestinians are weeping. These are not barbarians! They have suffered from Israel’s presence in Palestine,” he added.

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has a heart fashioned and shaped by Almighty God (Allah) and he is sensitive to the suffering of Black people and all of humanity. As human beings, let us strive to also have such a heart.

So, thank you, Brother Azeez Al-Shaair, for using your public platform as a star athlete to call attention to a cause that is bigger than yourself.
