2. What is the calamity?
3. And what will make thee know how terrible is the calamity?”

In the English language, according to Webster’s Dictionary, the word calamity means, “a state of deep distress or misery caused by major misfortune or loss, or a great event marked by great loss and lasting distress and affliction.”

Such calamity is now prevailing in America. It is getting worse daily.

The third verse of this Chapter (Holy Qur’an 101:3) asks a question: “And what will make thee know how terrible is the calamity?” The answer is given in verse four:

4. “The day wherein men will be as scattered moths,”

We do not have to ask anyone whether or not this warning of the Holy Qur’an is now being fulfilled. We see the fulfillment of this prophecy with our eyes and hear with our ears, these great calamities that are now striking America. We see the great division, the great disagreement, disunity and murder of men. We see the great amount of raping and murdering of girls and women. There is great robbery and thieving going on every hour of the day and night.

There are great storms and adverse weather conditions. There are minor earth tremors and hailstorms. There are signs and wonders of signs being displayed in the heavens, in the earth and on sea and land. There is unusual behavior of children. There is unusual love or dislike of children by mother and fathers and the destruction of the process of childbirth. There is the great calamity of starvation and great destruction of health and of lives by the use and administering of poison drugs, which is practiced upon those who are free and those who are bound.

What has been known as America is threatened today with total destruction. America is destroying herself in her effort to destroy her Black slave. The water and air of America are being polluted by chemico-bacteriologists.

America’s scientists of war conduct dreadful experiments on how best to kill human beings by the millions and wipe out the life of whole continents.

These are the days of fulfillment of prophecy of not one, but of many calamities. But in all of these preparations of the destruction of human life by the devil, … Allah (God) too has plans to save His people.

Allah (God) has claim over the Black slave as being His people and the White slave-holder is angry because of the loss of the Black slave by virtue of this claim.

Allah (God) comes to take the Black slave away from the enemy White slave-holder and join the Black slave onto his own kind again. The enemy White slave-holder hates this, but Allah (God) has the power to force the enemy White slave-holder to submit to His will.

It is the will of Allah (God) that the enemy white slave-holder let the Black slave go free. Allah (God) promises concerning the white slave-holder and the Black slave, Bible Is. 43:6, “I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;” (America).

Since Allah (God) has now claimed the Black slave (given them the truth), Allah (God) has called the Black slave (who has accepted the truth) by His name. The Black slave who has accepted the truth of His greatness in being one of the righteous aboriginal nation of his kind belongs to Allah (God). The Book must be fulfilled wherein it prophesies that He will claim them to be His own; elect.

At such time as the destruction of America, if Allah (God) has chosen some of the people of America (the Black slave) to be His people, there would not have been any flesh saved from America.

The Bible, Mk. 13:20, teaches us, “And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.”

It is vital … the Black slave must know that this is the time of the judgment of both the White slave-holder and the Black slave. The Black slave must learn to know his place in the judgment. The place of the Black slave is with Allah (God) and his own Black people. The Black slave had been deprived of knowledge of his God and his own Black people.

Allah (God) has come and brought the Black slave the truth. If the Black slave refuses to accept the truth, he will be destroyed for willingly and knowingly rejecting the truth when the truth has come in his midst.

Calamity! calamity in the country of America. No secret can remain hidden, for the chastisement of Allah (God) will not let you hide it.

As one writer prophesied in the Bible (Is. 18:1), “Woe to the land shadowing with wings …” This prophesy is referring to America which has a cloud of planes shadowing the skies over America almost daily.

“Say: O People of the Book, why do you hinder those who believe from the way of Allah, seeking (to make) it crooked, while you are witnesses? And Allah is not heedless of what you do.” (Holy Qur’an 3:98)

“And certainly We know those among you who go forward and We certainly know those who lag behind.” (Holy Qur’an 15:24)

“And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which [men] deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it [is] sealed: And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.” (Isaiah 29: 11, 12)

“And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. The meek also shall increase [their] joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.” (Isaiah 29: 18-19, 24)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. (John 5:25) For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; (John 5:26) And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. (John 5:27) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, (John 5:28) And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:29)

“… Allah, He is the Truth, and He gives life to the dead, and He is Possessor of power over all things, And the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it; and Allah will raise up those who are in the graves.” (Holy Qur’an 22:6, 7)

How well do we understand the above (somewhat randomly selected) passages from the Bible and the Holy Qur’an? What about humanity as a whole? How well do the billions of the readers of these two books understand them?

It was in the early fall of 1931, when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad first heard that there was a man teaching “Islam” who was going by the name of Mr. W.D. Fard. He heard this from his brother, Charlie. They were then living in Detroit, Michigan. Charlie’s excitement stimulated his interest.

Although he had the wrong idea of Islam, at that time, as he thought it was a “heathen religion,” he was told enough that he wanted to meet the Teacher and hear His teachings.

There was something deeper in him that caused him to want to see and hear this man. Ever since he was a little boy–after he learned to read and write–he was a reader of the Bible. He only went to the fourth grade of school, as his father needed him to work in the fields. His father was a sharecropper.

He was not at all lazy, but when he was a little boy, he said, he would crawl under a house or a barn, and read the Bible, as often as he could. He was drawn to its contents.

Now it’s September 1932. He was told that Mr. W.D. Fard was teaching a few people in a basement. He went there but did not see Him. He was told the man was there earlier.

His determination to see Him intensified. He went to other meetings held there and elsewhere, but continued to miss Him until the night of September 22nd. He was eager to see and hear Mr. Fard because he had a strong feeling about this man’s identity. He had quietly grown to expect the man whom his understanding of the Bible told him he should expect, “right about that time.” He felt this was the One he was expecting, prophesied in the Bible.

As soon as he saw and heard Mr. Wallace D. Fard, he knew Him to be the One the world had been expecting for the last 2,000 years. It came to him that the man he beheld was the very man expected by the prophets and others, Who would come in, or under, many good names: Jesus included.

That which Mr. W.D. Fard said and did, at that meeting, convinced the Honorable Elijah Muhammad of the truth of His identity. The Messenger would later say to his followers and to the world that the first thing that struck him about Mr. Fard was that His words and actions tallied with the Bible’s prophecy about what the coming One would say and do on His arrival.

Mr. Fard began speaking on the origin of things. He went on to teach of the measurements of the Earth, its weight, the distances between the Earth, the sun and other planets. He spoke of their rotation, measurements and so on.

He could not but compare what he was listening to, with the prophecy of the coming of God in the book of Habakkuk and elsewhere in the Bible.

Mr. W.D. Fard said much about the nature and history of Black and White people. He spoke about the future, including the coming judgment of this world and of the new world to be established after this world’s power was broken.

He said that Mr. Fard Muhammad went on to say that we were not in our own names, that we were in the names of White people, that He had come to give us our own names (names of God and our people). As he listened, Elijah said to himself: “This has got to be the man.”

When the meeting was over, he got in line with others to shake the Speaker’s hand. When his turn came, Elijah told Him that He was the One Whom the Bible’s prophets foresaw coming along about that time, about 2,000 years after Jesus, or the Son of Man.

Almost simultaneously, Mr. Fard Muhammad looked around to see who else heard that, and then looked at Elijah a little sternly. His smile followed the look. He bent His head close to him, put one hand on his shoulder, and the other on his forehead. Pressing His mouth against Elijah’s ear, He whispered:

“Yes, I am that One. But who else knows that but yourself?”

A few months and 23 years later, on February 26, 1955, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad would first physically see the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

During his speech that day, he looked up to and gave Minister Farrakhan his assignment, when he said for him to put the teachings that he, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, was teaching, “into that fine language that you know.”

It was his Teacher’s interpretation of the scriptures that was the means by which he recognized his “Aaron”–Minister Farrakhan.

“By Allah!   We certainly sent (messengers) to nations before thee, but the devil made their deeds fairseeming to them.   So he is their patron today, and for them is a painful chastisement.”–Holy Qur’an, Surah 16, verse 63

In this continuous study of the spiritual significance of the Woman who appears in the 12th chapter of the Book of Revelation, the narration goes on with these words: “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman who brought forth the male child.   And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.   And the serpent cast out of his mouth water like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.”   (Revelation 12, verses 13-15)

The significance of this passage occurring in the 66th and final Book of the Bible is manifold.   If we go back to the Book of Genesis, in the beginning of the Bible, we may be amazed to discover that the serpent in the Bible who entices Eve becomes again at the end of the Bible identified as that old serpent, called Devil and Satan, who has now grown into the great Dragon who persecutes the woman who has brought forth the male child.   A showdown is now taking place between Satan and his followers and the woman and her seed.

Genesis in the third chapter, verse 15 sums up the struggle running throughout the Bible between God and the Devil and between the righteous heirs to the Kingdom and the opponents of the righteous waging the Final Battle between Truth and Falsehood.

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s writing and teaching on this subject tells us that the very root of Satan and his world of deception and falsehood was revealed to him upon the Coming of Master W. Muhammad, to the destruction of the head of the devil’s power to rule over us.   When this true knowledge of the nature of Satan and his wicked deceiving world was revealed publicly through him, the open enemy made an attempt to take his life.   But since his escape, on the heels of a death-plot, the enraged enemies of God and the Righteous are now attempting to destroy the woman and the child, baby followers, who represent the heel of the Messenger and his Divine Teachings.

In this case the Woman representing Allah’s Messenger escaped, but the remnant of his Seed, His followers, have remained behind under the Spiritual Direction of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, who is acting in the place of the Father in his absence prior to his return.   The Flood cast out of the serpent’s mouth represents the false propaganda and lies that the enemy uses to deceive the righteous in an attempt to carry them away with evil and deception.   The Earth opened its mouth to help the woman by swallowing up the Flood of lies unleashed through the media.   This Help presents the Open Arms of Friendship of the Muslim World and others which is now being offered to our people from around the world.

“And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”–Revelation 12, verse 17

THERE IS NOT a shadow of a doubt that He (Allah) has taken the proper steps to give us more life in order to have and enjoy the pleasures of life. He (Allah) said what we eat keeps us here, and the same will take us away. Suppose we ate one-half pound of food a day. At the end of 365 days, we would have eaten 182 1/2 pounds of food per year.

BUT WE EAT more than this amount. For instance, if we live 50 years, we would eat 50 times this much food, at a half pound of food a day. If we saw 9,000 pounds of raw food piled up before us to consume, we would think that this would be a lot of food to go through our bodies. And we would think that it probably would wear us out to eat that much food in our life time, although we eat tons of food in our life time.

AND IF THIS food is not the proper food to eat, it will wear away our body and cut short three score and 10 years of our lives. On the average, our people are living around 62 years. This is a very short life to live on an earth that has been here trillions of years. And yet, the average of us cannot live 100 years under the present system of civilization of wickedness. Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom Praises are due forever, comes to prolong our lives, not to shorten them, by correcting our eating habits to one meal a day instead of three, and by teaching us to eat the proper foods that will not destroy us or shorten our lives to less than 100 years.

His (Allah’s) teaching us to eat better food and to cut our eating from three and four times a day to once a day will certainly prolong our lives and increase our beautiful appearance.

A PERSON WHO eats like an animal three or four times a day and all between meals cannot retain a beautiful appearance. Eating three times a day and all between meals removes the body’s attractiveness in many ways.

We eat meat, but yet meat is not good for us. It becomes a habitual tool. This type of food poisons the blood and goes into the flesh and cannot help but transform and destroy the surface of the flesh.

TAKE, FOR example, a new born baby. Many times its beauty lasts for just a short while and then passes away with its growth. Even in our late twenties and early thirties–because of the life that we live and the frequent eating of poison food–our beautiful appearance begins to pass from us so rapidly, until by our forties and fifties it is nearly completely gone.

Let us eat one meal a day and try getting the best food that we can to eat–vegetables, fruits, pure fresh milk, and pure whole wheat bread, that has been cooked slowly, twice. Doing this will help us live longer and retain our beautiful appearance much longer.

DO NOT GET into the habit (or if you are already in the habit, stop it) of eating a lot of greasy food. Regardless of whether the grease is from animal flesh or not, our bodies, by nature, are not made to digest and control grease or lots of fat.

Thousands of minor ailments disappear from us by eating the proper food and at the proper time–one meal a day. He (Allah) teaches us never to eat unless we are hungry. Eating when we are not hungry causes these minor ailments. We are forcing the body to digest food before it is calling for this food.

TAKE THE hog and the dog–they do not live very long, because they eat daily and nightly.

The present civilization is an enemy to righteousness. Since they were put over us to rule us, they had to find a different way of ruling us other than the good old way of our fathers, who lived several hundreds of years, some nearly a thousand years.

IF WE MET a man today who said he had been on the planet 500 years, we would think that he was lying because of our short lives of less than 100 years, leads us to believe that it is false to think that people can live several hundred years.

It is all in the food and drink that we put into our bodies that lengthens or shortens our lives. Stay away from poison food and drinks–and eat to live.

That truth comes to us at the end of the Caucasian world. The end has come and Allah has also come to make manifest this hidden truth to us, the Black nation of the earth; and first, to the lost members of that nation. According to the Bible and Holy Qur’an Sharrief, it is the divine purpose of Allah to make known this hidden truth that shall make the Black nation free.

A thorough knowledge of our own history and the history of the White race has been kept from the ears of the Black people of America who were enslaved by their enemies and the enemies of all dark people the world over.

The so-called Negroes’ problem of getting the truth is very hard, but the hardest problem to solve is getting them to believe it after getting it in their ears. This is due to their being brought up solely under the teachings of their enemies.

Black people are schooled one hundred percent in the fear of their enemies and the enemies’ own fixed religion called Christianity with the name of Prophet Jesus on it in order to make them believe that it came from Jesus. But their enemy’s own translation of the Bible omitted the mentioning of any of the prophets’ religions by name.

On the other hand, the Holy Qur’an teaches us that the prophets’ religion was none other than Islam, the Religion of Peace.

Shall we accept the scholars of the White race to teach us the knowledge of our God and history which has no birth record while they themselves were made by one of our own gods only six thousand years ago?

Let us give praise for the coming of our God, Allah, Who came in the person of Master Fard Muhammad, and whom our enemies persecuted and ordered out of the country. His power they cannot persecute and drive out.

Neither persecution, evil spoken, nor death will stop this truth that shall make you free which I have received from the very mouth of Allah (God); for it is time that the dead (so-called Negroes) should know the truth and accept their own place among their own kind in the holy nation of Islam.

This is the time? There never will be any peace among the nations of earth until the so-called Negroes have heard the truth and those who accept it are separated and placed in the paradise of their God, Allah.

The so-called American Negroes, with their God, Allah, shall become the universal rulers, believe it or not. They can do it now if they will quit this slavery religion called Christianity. No Black people who accept Christianity will ever be free.

You automatically become the servant of the White race and not of God upon accepting their religion. The so-called Negroes, with their leaders, should come out of it into their own religion; but they cannot until they first have a thorough knowledge of self and others.

One of the most misunderstood characteristics of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is the nature of his love, out of which comes his way.

By the word “way” I mean: a means, manner or method of doing or achieving something; the state or condition of somebody or something, especially with regard to the issues of life common to us all; a usual, characteristic, or distinctive activity or style of behavior; the customary style or practices of somebody’s life; a particular journey or the route followed or to be followed.”

I’m referring to Minister Farrakhan’s progress on the path through which he lives his life and copes with all manner of experiences, difficulties, and trials, which he–with Allah’s help–continues on despite ignorance, criticism, misunderstandings and all of what he must endure to hold up God’s pure light in a dark and degenerate world.

(Order, via this newspaper, or reread his book, “A Torchlight For America.” As he warns America, in a beautiful way, he is also warning us. When was the last time we’ve read that book?)

In John 14:6, Jesus says that he is the “way.” The meaning in Greek translated into English is simple, yet very profound. It means: “a traveled led way, road.” Strong’s Concordance also states that “metaphorically” this word means: “a course of conduct; a way or manner of thinking, feeling, deciding.”

Let’s revisit his words that appeared in interviews I conducted with him. Let’s look as deeply as we can into the words of a Brother who is both wise and humble; who is aware of his importance, but yet makes of himself no important.

It’s critical to study his way and seek to understand the principles out of which he was created and which he teaches. I intend to continue this point after we look at some of his valuable words. The following are excerpts from Farrakhan: The Traveler Vol. 21; No 18 that I wrote on January 10, 2002.

Brother Jabril: Would you say that, in a limited circumstance, we can make true judgments, but not the truest judgments?

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan: In a limited circumstance, we can make true judgments, but oftimes our egos are so wrapped up in the judgments that we make, we never leave room in our judgment for the possibility of mistake or error. That is the tragedy of judgment.

This is why, in my mind, to be made a judge of the human condition is one of the greatest honors that can be bestowed on a person. But when you are made a judge, you are in the greatest position to come under the judgment of God.

So when I see a person robed in the garment of a judge, I often wonder how bias, how prejudice, how status symbols, how the nobility of a person, or the lack of it, enters into the judge’s decision.

So when God says, “Judge not lest you be in danger of judgment,” we ought to speak less and think more, and desire to know as much as we can about the circumstance, the event, or the person, before we open our mouths to make a judgment.

That, unfortunately, is not always done. And this, unfortunately, will always be the human condition, until we become so humble and righteous in character that we desire to do no man or woman wrong.

So then, we must speak less and we must counsel more, and do it with patience. This is what I find in the Qur’an, that God is consistently counseling us to learn to be patient.

Brother Jabril: Brother Minister, since we will one day have a full-blown judicial system, which will include judges, what are just some of the qualities that immediately come to your mind that should characterize these kinds of persons?

Minister Farrakhan: I think the greatest quality must be first, a love of God; a love of truth and an insatiable desire to know more and more and more about the subject.

One must have the characteristic of humility. No judge should be arrogant, because arrogance over your position makes you ineffective as a judge.

Humility always keeps your heart open for greater knowledge, because you recognize the value, the importance of making a right judgment and you recognize the consequences of making an improper judgment.

It is the consequences of faulty judges and faulty decisions that bring down nations, societies and individuals.

So a judge must not just be one who has completed the course of study in law that is required, but the judge must have the quality of character that would make one a good judge of the affairs of human beings.

Brother Jabril: Brother Minister, yesterday we spoke a little bit about some of the factors involved in the advancement of human life, of society, of nations. You said that there was no advancement without sacrifice and that the advancement of humanity toward the ultimate objective of God requires, on the part of some or many or all, to one degree or another, pain, bloodshed and even the loss of life. Please comment.

Minister Farrakhan: There is no advancement without the sacrifice of life, bloodshed and pain. Those human beings whom God has chosen to advance us, in whatever discipline that is, must first have the quality to endure suffering, to endure insult. Such persons must be able to endure criticism, made by judgmental persons who are comfortable where they are and are challenged by where this human being is trying to lead us.

There is no advancement in any field without tremendous sacrifice and then life lost and bloodshed. Any advancement in any field has caused the one who leads us into that new field of knowledge and advancement suffering or great suffering.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, “Blessed is he who forges the way for others.” There is a scripture that talks about the one whom God assigns the task of bringing in a world that is totally new. This would mean he brings in a new knowledge–a knowledge that challenges the scholarship of his day. So the scripture teaches, “No visage was more marred than his.” This is because what he’s doing is like cutting a path through a jungle.

The branches of the trees that you have to cut down hit your face and scar your face, but as you cut that branch down, the ones coming behind you feel little or no pain, because you have felt it for them.

So it says, “By his stripes we are healed.” In the newness of the knowledge that he brings, and in his intense love for the world that he sees in his mind, which is not yet in reality–this in what causes him to endure what he endures of the ignorance of his contemporaries. So, when his truth is established, he may or may not be present, but he will be vindicated by history.

“O you who believe, remember Allah with much remembrance, And glorify Him morning and evening. He it is Who sends blessings on you, and (so do) His angels, that He may bring you forth out of darkness into light. And He is ever Merciful to the believers. Their salutation on the day they meet Him will be, Peace! And He has prepared for them an honourable reward.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 33, verses 41-44

Webster’s dictionary states that independence is the quality or state of being independent and Independence Day is a civil holiday for the celebration of the anniversary of the beginnings of national independence. Specifically July 4 is observed as a legal holiday in the U.S. in commemoration of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. There are two other words that we should study that, incidentally, are defined within the context of independence yet independently applied just the opposite in reference to the Black man’s

status as an indentured servant. An indentured servant, according to Webster’s dictionary, is a person who signs and is bound by indentures to work for another for a specific time, especially in return for payment of travel expenses and maintenance. To be independent is not to be subject to the control of others: self-governing: not affiliated with a large, controlling unit: not requiring or relying on something else: not looking to others for one’s opinion or for guidance in conduct: not requiring or relying on others (as for care or livelihood).

Now by taking into consideration all the above definitions and terms, we may ask the question in what way do we as the Black subject ex-slaves celebrate Independence Day along with our former slave masters when we were not even considered to be full citizens of this country. We had nothing to do with the writing of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, which was being written, signed and delivered for the Independence of the American people. The knowledge I wish to share with our readers connects to a Body of Knowledge that has been long kept a secret and lost from us and our forefathers beginning well over 400 years ago when we were made captive slaves and brought to these shores during the Mid-Atlantic Slave Trade.

The slave trader, John Hawkins, brought our first foreparents over on a ship named Jesus in 1555. The date of 1619 is given as the official date at Jamestown, Virginia, for our actual merchandising as slaves to our former White slave masters and society. There were 64 years that intervened between our first landing in 1555. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has taught us that our cursed parents were Muslims and the slaughtering of many of them and their children took place in order to destroy the Teaching or remembrance of Islam among us. This was the first primary stage of brainwashing and death that took place. Further teachings from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad give us the mathematical root of this number 64 years being taken out of their present calendar, so that they would not know the exact ending of the power and rule over us.

In “Our Saviour Has Arrived,” by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, we read on page 29, Chapter 11: “For the first time since our fathers fell into the chains and shackles of their enemies and were brought here for the purpose of being made blind, deaf, and dumb, we have come to the knowledge of self, to the knowledge of our God, our people, and to the knowledge of the way back to our native land. … Our fathers were brought here; not that they came of their own accord. They were brought here. They were forced to come here. They wanted to return home, but they could not swim 9,000 miles. They stood on the shore of North America with grief–tears flowing down their Black cheeks, begging that ‘Ship,’ ‘Oh, Ship Jesus, take me back.’”

In the “Fall of America,” on pages 72-73, he raises the question: “Whose Independence? Now the White man and the Black man are both free on this day. The coming of Allah (God) on this day means the freedom of the Black man, too. The clear significance of Allah’s (God’s) coming on this day shows the great wisdom of Allah (God). Everywhere the White man may be, even in Europe, the earth belongs to the Black man. Let us rejoice on this day, the 4th of July, in the coming of Allah (God) Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad to Whom praises are due forever and give thanks to Him. Let us enjoy the independence he brought to us and the freedom, justice and equality. He brought these things to us not by killing off the red Indian nor any original settlers. Justice and righteousness are the ammunition used by Allah (God).”

Mathematics and the science of everything in life is the foundation teaching of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad that he received from his Master Teacher, W. Fard Muhammad. Exactly 154 years intervened between the White man’s Independence Day, first celebrated in 1776 to the year 1930, with the coming of the Master on that exact day July the fourth. This number of years, 154, represents the New Body of knowledge called the Supreme Wisdom, which was given to the Lost-Found members of the Nation of Islam to bring them back into the true knowledge of self and the knowledge of God and the knowledge of others that inhabit our planet earth. This is the independence that we celebrate among our own here in the United States of America. Happy Independence Day!

Living under the guidance of the enemy of right and the God of the unrighteous is a very dangerous position to be in. This is just the position you and I, the poor, righteous so-called Negroes (lost-found members of the aboriginal Black Nation), are living in. Poisonous food and water we are now eating and drinking—sometimes too much poison to kill poison that is in our food and drinks. And, maybe it is the wrong poison for us human beings, whether it is in food or in drinks.

Take, for instance, the use of fluoride, chloride, and sodium, which if not used correctly can destroy our entire life. Maybe it is best to find something else that will clear our water without killing both us and the poison in our food and water.

The scientist should not advocate the use of such poisonous chemicals as fluoride, chloride, and sodium, which may have a bad effect on our brains and our human reproductive organs. The scientist that uses such poison on human beings wants to either minimize the birth rates or cause the extinction of a people.

D.D.T., which is sprayed on food while it is growing up from the earth, is also a poison that should not be put into the human body, regardless of the desire to kill the insects that loves to dine on the same food on which we dine. The poison may not take instant affect on us, as it does the insects, but it can, over the long years, help shorten the span of our lives. We live in a world commercializing on everything where money is involved, and this has speeded production of everything but human lives, in order to fill the demand of the people. This has caused many scientists to overlook the dangerous effects that such fast production has on the health of the people. Therefore, the only way out for us, the poor Lost-Found, is to seek refuge and guidance in Allah for our protection from evil plannings and doings of Satan.

Allah (God) has pointed out to us in both the Bible and the Holy Qur’an that right foods for us to eat and He has pointed out the poisonous food and drinks. Follow His guidance or suffer the consequences.

Do not eat the swine—do not even touch it. Just stop eating the swine flesh and your life will be expanded. Stay off that grandmother’s old fashioned corn bread and black-eyed peas, and those quick 15 minute biscuits made with baking powder. Put yeast in your bread and let it sour and rise and then bake it. Eat and drink to live, not to die.

It is the White slave-master and his children who enjoy setting forth the 4th of July as a day of rejoicing over achieving this country’s Independence from any other foreign source.

Now, the history of the 4th of July shows that it is the Independence Day of the American White man. They wrote the Declaration of Independence for themselves. The White man did not put anything in the Declaration of Independence for the benefit of the Black Man, who was the servitude-slave of the White man at that time.

The joy which the Black slave experienced on these holidays of the White man was due to the Black man getting rest from his labor and the days which the White man had set aside for celebration. That is all the Black slave was rejoicing over … that he did not have to work that day.

But, you are free now; and you do not need this for an excuse for your worship of the 4th of July. There is no further need for us to worship the gaining of the White man’s independence. Let us take a look again at our own Black independence and how it came on this same day of the 4th of July … at the Coming of Allah (God) Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom praises are due forever, on July 4, 1930.

The significance of His coming to us, on the Independence Day of the White man, is very great. It is their day of great rejoicing. As with former peoples and their governments, their destruction took place when they were at the height of their rejoicing.

Nebuchadnezzar, according to the Bible history of him (Dan. Ch. 4), was walking around in his palace and proudly looking around and admiring the skill of the work he had set up and said, “has not all this my hand wrought?” The Bible teaches us that while the words were in his mouth, the end came. Allah (God) changed his mind and heart from that of a civilized man to the mind and heart of a beast. He had the brain reactions of a wild beast and he was cast out among the dumb brutes.

What does that signify? It gives us a gleaning into the history of the White man and his being cast out of the society of the Muslims six thousand years ago … after he was made and then started trouble among the people of righteousness.

Trouble-making caused the White man his exile into the hills and cave-sides of West Asia, as Europe was called at that time, so Allah (God) taught me. Its name was changed to Europe after the White man was cast into that area. Europe means a place where people are bound in, to keep them out of the society of the righteous.

Moses made (White man) as independent race, through the guidance which Allah (God) gave Moses, to guide the White man out of his savage cave life, and put him on the road of conquest of the Black man.

For four hundred years the White man swallowed us, (the Black man of America) up. He did not put us in a hole of the earth but he swallowed us up by keeping anything like wisdom from coming to us. He set a bound against our own Black people visiting us in order to prevent them from teaching us anything other than what the White man was teaching our Black slave-fathers.

This caged us in, and made just as secure a cage as the literal cage of Europe that the Arab people put the White man in six thousand years ago.

The 4th of July is the Day of rejoicing of the White man over his opponents, for the Western Hemisphere. He wrote his Constitution for his own White people…not for his Black slave.

Since this is his day which he set aside for himself, then what part, Black brother, do you have in this day? Your part is not mixed with his part in the way of his own White politics and physical independence.

But, as I called your attention to proud King Nebuchadnezzar’s history and what happened to him at the height of his kingdom, Allah (God) never destroyed a powerful people nor deprived them of self-independence when they were in trouble or when they were sick with grief. He made them to feel happy. He made them think that they would live forever.

So it was with the coming of Allah (God) in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom praises are due forever, on His coming to us, on the 4th of July, 1930. His presence meant the destruction of the independence of the White race and especially, America … wover the Black man.

Allah (God) visited the Black slave, for he is more in need of help to enjoy freedom of self.

Since Allah (God) came for the purpose of bringing selfindependence to the Black slave, then His going forth is with justice (Bible Rev. 19:11). To show Allah’s (God’s) greatness and power over the slave-master and his people, now Allah (God) attacks them at the height of their civilization and at the greatness of their power and strength, on the 4th of July … while they worship their greatness of their accomplishment; and the Black slave is sitting at his feet. As it was with Nebuchadnezzar and as it was with Pharaoh, the same is being repeated today.

This is the significance of Allah’s (God’s) coming on the 4th of July. For four hundred years we have been suffering under the pangs of servitude-slavery and at the relentlessly merciless hands of the White slavemaster over us.

Allah (God) came to give justice and freedom to us and to make us equal members in the society of the new powerful, strong, and wise people of the earth.

Ever since that day, the 4th of July, 1930, has meant the doom of American domination over the Black man of America and the Black people of the earth. Ever since that day, America has been falling.

America’s fall is not imminent … it is now going on. America refused to break her fall when she could have broken her fall, as the Bible teaches us. Babylon could have been healed, but she was not (Je. 51:9). She did not do anything to warrant such forgiveness.

America has been offered the chance for forgiveness, but she refused to accept it, for she never offered to do anything favorable toward her Black slave, that would make them free of her power to rule them.

Black slaves went to their death, fighting the enemy of the White slavemaster, to help America to maintain her independence against foreign dominance. The Black slave was not given anything in exchange for his sacrifice.

When a dog hunts for a hunter, the hunter (master) will sometimes share a part of the game with the dog. The Black slave has helped his master to overcome and to put other peoples under the control of his White slave-master. The Black slave has fought, bled and died around the earth, to help the White slave-master to conquer those whom the master called his enemies.

We helped the White man to conquer Cuba and to overcome and subdue Mexico and the Philippine Islands and other places around the earth, and also Japan. How many lives did the Black man lose in the Pacific while helping the White man to conquer the people of Japan who are the brown, half-brother of the Black man? The Brown race and the Yellow race are the half-brother of the Black man.

Whose Independence? Now the White man and the Black man are both free on this day. The coming of Allah (God) on this day means the freedom of the Black man too. The clear significance of Allah’s (God’s) coming on this day shows the great wisdom of Allah (God).

Everywhere the White man may be, even in Europe, the earth belongs to the Black man.

Let us rejoice on this day, the 4th of July, in the coming of Allah (God) Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad to Whom praises are due forever and give thanks to Him. Let us enjoy the independence he brought to us and the freedom, justice and equality.

In a radio broadcast, many years ago, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that one day Master Fard Muhammad told him to tell us that His Father made Him for us and that He loved us.

In one of his Saviour’s Day address the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to an audience full of his poor suffering people, “I love you.” Many who heard him that day say they “felt” enveloped by his love. (Contact The Final Call for a copy of that videotape which was done in the 1970s.)

In the early fall of 1955, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and two other Brothers were introduced to the class. That was their first F.O.I meeting. When it came his turn to speak to the men he said that he would take this message to every nook and cranny of America. He has. That’s love! Despite his suffering, here he is, forty-nine years later, demonstrating his love for us.

One day in the mid 1950s two Brothers were driving back to Chicago. They had a flat tire in the trunk of their car. Then one of their tires blew. They were stuck about fifty miles outside of Chicago. What were they going to do?

In those days the Messiah had a business card with his phone number on it. They had one of them. They called him to please come and pick them up. He was in a good mood. He answered : “Well Brothers, I’m justa not a goin’ to do it.”

In the fifth chapter of Hebrews there is a formula that runs throughout the scriptures, that applies to the two Messiahs and the Believers–in the last days of the wicked. It is: obedience to Allah, through (or while) suffering, results in perfection–over time.

Slightly paraphrased and condensed here, I wrote in This Is The One the following. We’ve learned from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad that the most important question we could ask is “Who is God?” Then he taught and proved that: “Of all the knowledge that one may have or obtain, the knowledge of God is the greatest, and most necessary of all knowledge.”

Since the most important question one could ask concerns God’s identity, the next most important question and knowledge must be of the identity of God’s Messenger. Why? God revealed Himself only to him. He then taught Allah’s revelation to us.

Then came February 1975. The world was told he was dead. Minister Farrakhan arose thirty months later. He made it known worldwide that he was not dead but alive and was exercising great power.

Minister Farrakhan did not sit in his teacher’s seat by Allah’s permission. No! He was willed towards that lofty position before the nation fell by Allah and the Messiah. Later, at the proper time, he was placed in that seat by Allah to do what was written of him.

Essentially, his task is to make his teacher’s commission known. To do that he had to make his teacher’s identity known. He has and continues to do so. So hearing Minister Farrakhan is key to understanding the Messiah’s identity and presence.

The Messiah made God known after God revealed Himself to him. Minister Farrakhan made the Messiah known the world over. This supremely wise arrangement is a manifestation of the infinite love of Allah. This obligates us to really study Minister Farrakhan; his teachings and his ways.

Black people of America are the dead of the scriptures, whom God was to raise in the last days, from our grave of ignorance. This work has and is producing the messianic community or nation, out of the most despised of all of the people on earth–the Black people of America. The birth, formation and growth of the Nation of Islam can be read throughout the scriptures.

“Prepare Me a body and I will go down and redeem man.” How was His “body” prepared? Why is it written that He would “go down” and then redeem man? Why “down?” Why “and?” Who is the “man” to be redeemed? Redeemed from what? What is the process of redemption?

God foreknew our condition. So several seemingly simple word pictures were made for us. But He also foreknew we would be so dead we would not be able to see ourselves in the pictures–even though they plainly described us.

So as it was written: “… in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.” (Isaiah 29^: 17-24) So He provided the two Messiahs to teach us so we could hear.

Here is a part of one of those word pictures. “Jesus said: ‘A man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.

“But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ ” (Luke 10:30,33-35)

The man who was beaten and robbed went down. The Good Samaritan went down after him.

Jerusalem’s elevation is about 2,600 feet above sea level. Jericho is about 825 feet above sea level. The difference is about 1,775 feet. That’s how far down you go “down” to get from the higher city to the lower city.

There is a road that goes down from Jerusalem to Jericho. I’ve read that it’s 17 miles long.

See Mother Tynnetta’s book, The Comer by Night from pages 103 through 107 on the significance of the number seventeen and that it’s the number of initiation.

“Initiation” means an action that causes something, especially an important process or event, to begin. It’s the introduction of somebody to a new activity, interest, or area.

The Good Samaritan was prepared to go down and initiate the process of redemption of the beaten-down man–us. Then He left the poor man in the hands of two prepared men until He returned.

The Messiah said the Good Samaritan is a sign of Master Fard Muhammad. The two Messiahs have been taking care of the poor ever since.

All of this and more is well known to highly placed Caucasians, who are Shriners. This reminds me of two very interesting reports concerning presidential candidate Mr. John Kerry, who suggests that Minister Farrakhan should do his homework on his record. (The Final Call; Volume 23; Number 42)

If Mr. Kerry had done his homework on the wisdom underlying Minister Farrakhan’s statement respecting him, he would have responded another way. Or maybe he has but must keep quiet. Time will tell.

Nevertheless, those in power are yet responsible for how they handle Minister Farrakhan.
