Is it true that you have rejected your own? Is it true that you do not want your own and reject the truth that the Almighty God of Truth has brought to you? Is it true that you would rather be other than yourself?

Let us examine our thoughts to see what we are actually thinking about and just what we would like to be. Let us present ourselves to the world as we really are. I do not think that God could have taken a better subject to teach us than the one He has: “Accept Your Own and Be Yourself.”

The so-called Negroes, of which I am a member, are the lost and found members of the tribe of Shabazz, from that great aboriginal people of the earth–the Black Nation. Remember this, we are the aboriginals of the earth and are called the Black people, and we are the Black Nation.

Living under the rule of other than our own kind and self for the past 6,000 years has brought much misunderstanding, much not knowing and many theories that have been used in many places and the people have taken theories that have been used in many places. A theory is not true until it has been proved to be true.

We today, 6,000 years from the beginning of this world, are disputing with one another on who is who and what is what. But the wisest step taken to put an end to this disputing was taken by God Himself, in these same words: “Accept your Own and Be Yourself.”

For the past 6,000 years we have not been ourselves. This is true. For the past 400 years, we, the lost and found members of our kind here in the Western Hemisphere, especially in the part called the United States of America, have been actually made more ignorant to the knowledge of ourselves than any other people on the earth.

Though our Black brothers in Africa, and Asia too, have to learn the knowledge of self, they are a little step ahead of us because they have not been deprived of their way of life or their desire to live their own lives; that is, for the past few centuries. The coming of the White European race into their countries interfered with their own. And to this day this has caused great confusion among the African original people, so much so until today they, too, are a long way from having the true knowledge of self.

We can examine the knowledge of all the people as far as races are concerned, such as the White, Brown, Yellow and Red races, and find that they, too, are really off the knowledge of their real selves, according to the teachings and truth of Almighty God, Allah, Who has revealed it to me.

Let us take a look at some of what Allah has revealed to me on this subject. Spiritually He says that your own self (referring to you) is a righteous Muslim. Physically, He says that we are the first and the last and that there were no people before us.

We are not from a father of another people. We are the father of all human beings, regardless of color or language. This covers the Brown, Yellow, Red and White. Originally, all of these races–and they are truthfully named by the word races–were begun by the Black Man. They all came from him, and there are some White scientist who know this and will agree, and there are probably scientists of the darker races who will also agree. But there are only a few who actually know these truths, and these few have not felt that they should reveal it to the masses because they feel that this is something they should hold for their own interest.

I ended my last article with these words: “His self-creation implied or compelled the eventual coming of Master Fard Muhammad, as well as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

“We just have to go back in time to see or make sense of the solution. Remember, we are being taught, according to the words of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the root of the wisdom of the Creator of all, by Him Who is now in the process of creating all things new; improving on everything that has ever been done by the First One and all of the Gods Who came after Him.”

The Holy Wise Scientists, the Writers of the Holy Qur’ans or the Mother of the Books, down through the eons of time, knew that there was this in us that They were finally going to permit to be brought out of us. They saw Yakub and They decided to let him do what they foresaw that he would do, despite the terrible consequences to follow.

But why was it allowed full expression now, during this particular cycle of world history writings? Why did the Original Scientists choose to allow this evil force to come forth at this time? Was it because of the vacuum that they foresaw that would come around the time Yakub would be born?

Was it in the nature of all things that this was the very best time to allow him to make devil? If They had not allowed devil to be made, by Yakub, what would Master Fard Muhammad have faced on His coming?

I believe Master Fard Muhammad was coming from the very beginning of the First God’s self creation, in a certain sense. This vacuum, in my humble view–to be corrected with greater light– was the ultimate result or consequence of the ending of the First God’s work or even His effect. Hence, and grandest of all renewals, restorations or  the regeneration, about which Jesus is said to have spoken.

The regeneration  cannot take place without the willingness, the loving cooperation of the Black women–God’s second self. She must help the Black men meet their responsibilities to build the new world.

Families will be composed of the alive, not the dead. So the families will be of God’s spirit, as the persons who make up the families will be alive. In these new families every “negative” or un-divine idea, emotion and motivation will have to be overcome and eliminated, not just for the peace and security of the families, but because the good and excellent qualities (which are to be gained as we grow out of the evil, self-centered, selfish ways of thinking and feelings) are only those which will enable us to enter fully into His kingdom.

What is the history and the present state of the Black family in the United States of America? Even after a through review of the scholarship, generated in this world’s universities, you’ll find that what’s missing in the studies, on the Black family, is the light of the revealed word of Allah to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

The slave masters continued to determine the state of Black family life even after physical servitude was said to be abolished. To what extent has this changed and what factors produced those changes?

Many, both scholarly and otherwise, have pointed out good aspects of Black family life, prior to 1931, when Master Fard Muhammad began teaching the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Up to a point there is merit in these observations. However, we must take into consideration, that Allah best knows the truth of our condition. We were described, in divine prophecy, as that people so destroyed by our enemies that we were foreseen as “the dead.”

Despite our condition, Allah determined a total change for us from death to life–His life.

Although it may be insulting to many of us, but can we say, with truth, that our family life was or could be any more alive than the spiritual or mental state of “the dead” who composed them? Can our families be more alive than the “dead” individuals who make up these families?

Since God Himself deemed us “the dead,” then even at its best Black family life was and could never be what it can and will become until after those who compose these families have been raised from death to life.

Allah personally began producing changes for the better in the status of the Black family, through what He taught the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, beginning in 1931. To what extent have the concepts which generated those changes affected the state of the whole of Black family life?

Although I personally cannot answer that question, we must still go back to the principle that Black family life can be no better than the extent to which those composing those families are spiritually alive.

We know that as a people, we’re coming to life. The spirit of Allah–Master Fard Muhammad as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad publicly wrote back in 1956, was moving in and among our people. Look at the effect of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s work. It’s clear that the resurrection of the dead is taking place.

So, the answer to the question of to what extent has Allah’s truths affected Black family life is at least proportional to the extent to which those composing those families have been made alive by His spirit.

When we must ask “the whys of God,” we must do so in the proper spirit. To ignorantly ask Him of His “whys” in an arrogant spirit is to bring an answer we’ll find hard to take.

Please get and study the whole of what the Honorable Minister Louis said on family at the Family Summit conference. Here are excepts of his words: “Only God can bring us all together and make us one. Jesus couldn’t do it, he was 2,000 years too soon. Prophet Muhammad wanted to do it, but he was 1,400 years too soon and his followers became corrupted, so they can’t do it.

“So the Mahdi, Master Fard Muhammad, came to us and out of my love for my Messenger Messiah, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad; look at this family. Many colors coming from many different perspectives. But we are one family because God is at the root of our family.”

“And messengers before thee were certainly mocked, but I gave respite to those who disbelieved, then I seized them. How (awful) was then My requital! Is, then, He Who watches every soul as to what it earns–? And yet they ascribe partners to Allah! Say: Name them. Would you inform Him of that which He knows not in the earth, or of an outward saying? Rather, their plan is made fair-seeming to those who disbelieve, and they are kept back from the path. And whom Allah leaves in error, he has no guide.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 13, verses 32-33

 In this, my fourth journey to Cuba, joining the delegation of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan to explore and investigate how the Cuban people managed to survive the ravishing of Hurricane Wilma and the destructive path of Hurricane Katrina, we had an extraordinary opportunity to interface with many of the ministries of the Cuban people. They have excelled in their extraordinary ability to coordinate and work together in rendering Humanitarian Service as one in serving the needs of the Cuban people in disaster preparedness and other areas of social services.

Each of us who participated in this educational process was assigned to a particular Ministry that reflected the overall program and purpose of the Millions More Movement, under the Direction of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, to develop a more Conscious Awareness of our peoples’ needs in outreach services to our greater communities in America. It was amazing to discover that Cuba practiced such a magnificent Model based on the principles of a Revolution of Ideas rooted in a common objective to serve the betterment of humanity, both at home and abroad. Because of Cuba’s inspirational example in the face of a 45-year embargo, I came up with the following observations recognizable in every segment of the Cuban society:

1. No one has the right to claim or impose laws or regulations on any member of the society without the Supreme Command or Jurisdiction of God, Himself, which reigns in the mind of Higher Spiritual Consciousness;

2. We are the Caretakers of the earth and are its Guardians who have been temporarily assigned to the governance of its peoples under the Laws and Rules of Divine Order, and are held responsible for the welfare of Society and its members in any given location on our Planet Earth;

3. Any given problem that may exist in any part of the world requires a consensus of the people who are governed taking council together for the solution, and must be based upon the principles of peace, good will, righteousness and the freedom of its citizens to be able to act upon the basis of their own God-given rights of conscious will;

4. As long as we allow one nation to impose its will upon another nation or people without the conscious will of its people, and in disregard of their human rights, we are inviting God’s Divine Chastisement, resulting from Cause (what we do) and its Effect; and

5. The Black Man and Family in particular, who have been subject to the cruelest treatment by our former slave-masters, must never sell their souls to the devil nor accept any unjust law that is against their best interest or that of their people. We are Divinely Bonded to the Belief of the Oneness of God and the Oneness of Humanity, and follow the dictates of His Divine Laws, which supersedes man-made laws and its inferior authority.

Having made the above statements based on my observations and study, I would like to state some of the reasons that we visited Cuba from the perspective of spiritual leadership and Divine Order. According to the Constitution of the United States, the First Amendment states that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assembly, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

According to the First Amendment, we should not be coerced into rules, laws and regulations that are forced upon us at the discretion of Government that denies anyone of their fundamental human and constitutional rights.

Furthermore, Amendment 13, Section 1 states: “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” Amendment 13, Section 2 states: “Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.” The 13th Amendment was ratified December 6, 1865 following the Civil War. Here we stand, 241 years later, to uphold our rights as freed slaves, but not equal to the powers that rule the world.

Visiting our people in the Republic of Cuba March 19-28 came by way of Invitation to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan from the Government of Cuba. He was received, along with the members of our delegation, on a State Visit. This Cuban Initiative came at a most momentous historical occasion, in which the enlargement of world natural disasters has heightened, combined with the global threat of universal war. Not withstanding the fact that we are all related to one another through our common African and Indigenous origins, scattered and separated from one another in the Diaspora, we have come to that hour when we must all work harmoniously together for the betterment of the lives of all peoples and nations.

Now that I have stated the above at the commencement of my report to our people and this nation, I would like to present to our readers a brief geographical, historical and spiritual overview of this incredible island nation fulfilling its prophetic role in the destiny of the world.

Cuba was discovered by Christopher Columbus in his first voyage across the Atlantic on October 27, 1492. It is the largest island in the Caribbean, located in the westernmost part of the Greater Antilles. To the South lie the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Haiti. To the North are the Bahamas, the Straits of Florida at Key West and the Gulf of Mexico leading to the Yucatan Peninsula. The island is only 90 miles away from the United States. We will note that in the name, “Cuba,” we see and pronounce the word “cube.” In the Sacred History of Islam, the first house erected for the worship of God is called the Kaaba, located in the Holy City of Mecca, which contains the Sacred Black Stone.

The Sacred Black Stone is located in the southeast corner of the cubical House of the Kaaba in the Holy City of Mecca. Thus, the geographical location previously described of the “Magical Island” of Cuba fits perfectly into the Cuban Model, being only 90 miles away from the U.S. shores as a Sign of something greater to come in the fulfillment of prophecy. When the number 90 is multiplied by 4, it equals a circle of 360 degrees. Visiting Cuba was like taking a pilgrimage to a part of our sacred homeland, uniting with 12 million more souls of pilgrims enjoying a state of equality in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

This new day in which our people are being resurrected from mental death and oppression into a fuller Knowledge of self and kind is bringing about a true Revolution of Ideas for the first time since slavery, expressing our freedom, human rights and evolutionary growth into a New World of ideas based upon the principles of Truth and Justice, the Oneness of God and all of Humanity, our true Global Spiritual Heritage.

“Whether We let thee see part of that which We promise them, or cause thee to die, thine is but the delivery of the message, and Ours to call (them) to account. See they not that We are visiting the land, curtailing it of its sides? And Allah pronounces a doom–there is no repeller of His decree. And He is Swift in calling to account. And those before them planned indeed, but all planning is Allah’s. He knows what every soul earns. And the disbelievers will come to know for whom is the (good) end of the Abode. And those who disbelieve say: Thou art not a messenger. Say: Allah is sufficient for a witness between me and you and whoever has knowledge of the Book.”  –Holy Qur’an, Surah 13, verses 40-43

SINCE the coming of the White race, they (White race) have set forth one of the greatest confusions of what foods the human family should eat, and today everything like food is eaten by the human family.

Whether this food is good for human consumption or not, it is offered in the market for us to eat. Naturally, all follow what the White race offers to us in the way of eating, clothes, shelters and money because of their given power to rule over us for a limited time (6,000 years). We have followed their dictation as to what we should accept and what we should reject almost to the letter for the past 6,000 years.

Now, a New Ruler and His way of civilization stands knocking on our door with His list of how to eat to live.

In the Creation of the earth, the Creator caused everything to grow in the earth that would be, or act as, the sustainer of our lives.

The natural food value of the vegetables that we go to the market and buy should not be destroyed with a lot of additions. They contain the vitamins and proteins nature put in them for us, if the experimenters and poisoners of food do not interfere.

Natural food will give to us natural health and beauty and prolong our lives, if the poison hand of the commercializer does not touch it.

None of us should suffer with sugar diabetes if we would eat natural food, because the sugar in natural food is not enough to poison our blood with sugar. It is the sugar that is manufactured by the commercializers on sweets that causes the dreadful disease of sugar diabetes.

All suffers from sugar diabetes should abstain from eating sugar after they learn they are suffers from diabetes and they should eat the natural food that Allah has placed in the earth for us, without the addition of sugar.

WE SHOULD cook the food the way we like it and season it with a little natural salt and natural pepper the way we like it.

It is sometimes hard to get natural salt. There are several salts on the market that the commercializers on food have put before us. The best salt is the natural salt or that which the Jewish people eat and season their food with. The Jews are old settlers of the White civilization and the first guides of the White race in the natural and commercial field of foods.

The Holy Qur’an teaches the Muslims that the food of both the followers of Moses (the Orthodox Jews) and the food of the Muslims is good for each, because the foods of the two people do not vary too much. There are some weak Muslims and there are some weak Orthodox Jews but they (Orthodox Jews), as God taught me, live more closely to the Muslim way of eating than any of the rest of the White civilization.

The Jews and Muslims have always been able to settle their differences between each other better than Christians and Muslims. The Meccan White Muslims claim to be first cousins to the Black Man through Abraham’s two sons (Ishmael and Isaac). But, nevertheless, among the three parties now (Muslims, Jews, and Christians)—and a fourth party (Hindus) a great conflict arises and is growing to reach a bitter end if wisdom is not found to curb it. But, the American Jew and the American Black Man may yet find some way of making a separate relationship out of the other world.

Eat the natural food and do not try eating all of it at one time. Do not seek to “gobble” down all the refined sugars and sweets that are made from natural foods, lest you find yourself being put in a refined “box” that carries the dead.

Do not feed your children all sorts of processed foods (such as cereals), IF you can give them fresh foods. And do not give your child ready-prepared food. Prepare it yourself as mother used to do a long time ago. You were more healthy in those days than you are now. Prepare your child’s food and give it to him; but do not feed it to him out of your mouth as grandmother used to do (smile). But still, we survived from that better than we are surviving from these processed foods today.

A SICK mother’s milk is better for her baby than a healthy cow’s milk or any animal’s milk. You may give your babies cow milk, but if you can breast-feed them, yourself—as nature intended—then you should do so. You will have a healthier baby and a baby who will love you. When a baby is nursed on cows’ milk, the baby may love the cow more than he loves you. (smile)

EAT GOOD FOOD so that you will be able to give your baby good, pure milk.

You can drink cows’ milk; your own milk glands will put it into the right stage for your child. Be careful as to what kind of drugs you take while nursing your baby. And do not take fasts while you are breastfeeding an infant or even while you are pregnant. If you like, you may eat once a day while pregnant or breast-feeding your baby, but you are not forced to do so. You should not go for two or three days without eating.

IN ANSWER to your questions on whole wheat cakes and muffins: Yes, you may eat them. But do not eat them or any bread the same day you bake it if you can avoid doing so. Do not eat fresh, hot muffin rings and hot cakes because they are half-cooked breads. Everything in the line of breads should be thoroughly cooked. There is no such thing as stale bread. The bread you call stale bread is the bread you should eat.

When children suffer from bronchial-asthma or any asthmatic conditions, do not give them too much milk. Give them more fruit and juices; (fresh juices, not canned juices).

Adults should try to eat one meal a day. If you eat one meal every two days, three days or five days it is okay, but do not force children under 16 years of age to do the same. They are growing and most of them need two meals a day.

The scientists of this world (the White race) failing to gain the confidence of the people ran a race of commercialization between each other. This commercializing on foods has put forbidden, divinely forbidden, and poison foods on the market for human consumption. Now these poison foods have created another commercial field (drugs) to temporarily reduce the effect of the poison foods eaten by the people, that they purchase from the food markets. Therefore the health and span of good happy lives without drugs of the whole White race and the Black people who are under the rule of the White race are being destroyed by the artificial and poison foods put on sale in the market (which is backed by the government and communities to be eaten by human beings for the sake of that “commercialized dollar”).

SUGAR—For an instance, sweets and meats have become the greatest desire “dishes” of America. Food is eaten with many artificial flavors and colorings (slow death) added. There is no need to draw sweets out of sugar cane and sugar beets to sweeten other foods that we eat when by nature all foods that we eat have some natural sugar or sweetening in them. Even meats are sweet enough for our taste and digestion. A little salt added and a little pure pepper added to make it taste hot is sufficient. The other flavors are not necessary.

FRUITS—Fruits are all good and best for our consumption in their natural state. Fruits should never be cooked to get the better value out of them for our health. Fruits should be eaten raw and not cooked. The drying of fruits is only for preservation so that it can be eaten later but not with the value that it contained when it was fresh.

If you understood that which you are seeking to be accepted into and if you understood the nature of those whom you are seeking to integrate with you would, instead, be seeking your own people’s society or building one of your own on some land or territory separate from the American whites.

We need land wherein we can build our own society free from the tension, hatred and violence that have accompanied our race relationship with the white race of America.

When you learn that the white man is not your brother, you will readily begin to see and accept the Divine Plan that Almighty Allah (God) has in the working for our people. Who has been our aggressors and murderers ever since we have been in America? Who, by nature, was made quick to shed blood — even his own?

And how much easier it is for them to shed our blood. They are heartless, merciless, when it comes to you and me we all know the true answer, whether you wish to bear witness with your tongues or with your hands, we know that the white man is our aggressor — the hater of good, justice and equality for you and me.

Do not expect your former slave-master’s children to give you the privileges to do as you desire in his own house. According to the Emancipation Proclamation, we as a people were proclaimed free to go for ourselves. In other words, we were on our own to build a nation of our own regardless of our hardships and barriers.

But this we did not do because we were unable and unqualified in the knowledge of self and how to build a civilization of our own. And today our people are too afraid and doubtful even though a way is being made in this wilderness by Allah (God) in Person.

Many so-called Negroes despise and hate “Black Supremacy” without having knowledge of what this means, and yet they support and believe in “White Supremacy.”   If you say you do not either, then you are neutral. But nay — some must rule over the other. It is the law of nature.

The ex-slaves of America desire to go to their white masters’ restaurants instead of building one for self and kind. You want to go to their schools and learn with white people who hate your very shadows.

I say to you this is a disgrace to act so dependent and loving toward a people who have been your worst enemies and who will go to war against each other before they will give you and me equal justice under their own laws.

Allah (God) is offering you heaven at once on accepting Him for your God, enjoyment and unlimited progress in the new world of universal peace and happiness, unlike anything seen, heard or imagined since the creation of the universe.

You are not American citizens or members of the white man’s world. The only American citizens are the white people who are originally from Europe. So why fight a losing battle by trying to be recognized as something you are not and never will be. I am not trying to disillusion you but merely telling you the truth.

Almighty Allah came to make Himself known that He alone is God and beside Him there is no God His equal — I know of none his equal. I am going to do my part in representing Him in teaching His words of Truth.

We do not need soft talk when it comes to the truth, we need the thrust that will pull us off our knees from begging and put us on our feet as intelligent men and women no longer dependent upon the slave-master but striving to build an independent nation of our own as others have done before us.

We the black people in America have to fight against great opposition coming to us from all sides — the ignorant blacks and the wise, skillful whites who envy our progress in the way of self-support.

They hate the wide spread of the Truth that Allah has revealed here in the worst part of our Planet Earth. A truck load of our papers MUHAMMAD SPEAKS was set afire by the envious and jealous haters of the progress this paper is making toward getting the Truth to the mentally dead of our people. Oh seek refuge in Allah from such evil, for I know a day that is coming to them when they will wish they, too, were Muslims.

Holy Qur’an 13:27: “…Say: Allah leaves in error whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn to Him–Those who believe and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Now surely in Allah’s remembrance do hearts find rest.” 42:13: “…Allah chooses for Himself whom He pleases, and guides to Himself who turns (to Him).”

On page 341 of Closing The Gap, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan stated: “You know, no matter what gifts a person may be blessed to have, it is out of the heart that the real issues of life are formed and the real meaning of the person’s life gets found. It is not in the talent. It is the heart. The heart of a servant of God, is formed by God. It is not formed by a mother, or a father, or circumstances. It is formed by God and is manifested through circumstances.” (Bold mine)

Anyone who picks up the book, Closing The Gap, starting on page 347, you can read the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s response to my question of his trials. He gave other answers to questions that appear in this book, that have an indirect bearing on his trials. This is why I asked him that question that produced his answers on his life.

This has a direct bearing on our understanding and use of such words as, how, what, when, who and why. This has to do with all of the realities of the information that is in our heads and our hearts. To say that something has a “direct bearing on something” is to say that it has an effect on something, or a connection with something.

I know that millions and millions, or billions of people do not know him, like many of the few of us know him. I know that some have learned about him on the basis of misinformation, and the like. So, I wanted people to see him, from his mouth, to get a view into his heart.

Minister Farrakhan did not know that I would ask him that question before I did it. I asked Allah, in the name of His Messiah, to bless me to ask him that question at the right time. So, I asked him that question in a respectful, simple, direct and clear manner that produced that powerful, insightful and beneficial answer for all to read his words. By the help of Allah I intend to go into this “all.”

At this point, I’m asking the reader to go look into the following words that appear in italic and bold a few lines below. These words are the basis of a few articles to come, by the help of Allah.

Closing The Gap contains Minister Farrakhan’s answers to a question on this very significant subject–his trials. To me his reactions to his trials are exemplary. Exemplary means: “so good or admirable that others would do well to copy it, designed to serve as a warning to others, serving as an illustration or example of something.”

What did the Honorable Elijah Muhammad see in Minister Farrakhan in 1957 (quoted in the last article) that caused him to say those words to him? If you have not read them, here they are from Minister Farrakhan.

“I was captain and then as a captain, I came out to Chicago for Savior’s Day and the Messenger had the captains to speak on that Saturday, February 1957. I spoke and the Messenger was sitting right behind me. In the pictures that I saw there, he had this beautiful smile on his face. As I spoke as Captain Louis that night he invited me, for the first time, to come to dinner with him.”

“That night I remembered him doing something that I’ve never seen him do since then. At the end of the dinner he went around the table shaking everybody’s hand. When he got to me and shook my hand he came close and whispered in my ear, ‘You remind me of David.’ Then he went back to his chair and of course, dismissed us. That was in February.”

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad whispered his words? Why?

When God was informing Samuel that He had appointed David (to be king instead of Saul) He said, “for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” (Read 1 Samuel 16: 7.)

That illustrates the value of the heart of the human being, from the Supreme Being’s supreme-view, which will prevail one day soon. Zechariah 14:9: “And the Lord shall be king over all earth…”

How do you see these words, spoken to Minister Farrakhan in 1957, “You remind me of David” relate or connect, to these words spoken to him, years later: “Allah prepared you for me”? How do you see these words relating to his trials and to you?

Now back to his words on his trials. They are very valuable, as we will see, if we don’t see this now. On page 350 Minister Farrakhan begins.

“By May of 1957, because of problems with Minister Ulysses and the need for funding and money to keep up his quality of life, he had to work in a foundry or his job had took him away from the Mosque; so the Messenger decided in May of 1957, to make me the minister.

“Then other trials began. You know the trial of extreme poverty. I remember working in the garment district in Boston making forty-five dollars a week. They would take ninety cents out for FICA; Social Security and whatnot, and I would come home with forty-four dollars and ten cents; with my wife and three children. But I always found each week, money to donate to the Temple and of course, my charity to the Messenger, and encouraged the believers to do the same. But that trial was extreme poverty.

“When I finally got up to sixty-five dollars a week working days; I studied during my lunch hour. We didn’t each lunch. We ate one meal a day. So I would just have a cup of coffee and write my subject out to preach.

“I remembered the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, “Well, you have gotten the Mosque up.” The believers were sufficient in number to support me. So he said that I should come away from the day job and concentrate fully on the resurrection of our people. He said that I could get one hundred dollars a week. This was 1958.

“Not one time in nine years did I ever get a hundred dollars. The most I ever got, as I can recall, was sixty-five to seventy dollars. But the actual charity was between thirty and forty-five dollars per week. For nine solid years I was not able to buy a new suit until the ninth year, when I was leaving. The believers gave me a new suit. I would wear suits from the pawnshop that my brother, from New York, would bring to me.”

And surely the wrongdoers are in severe opposition.” –Holy Qur’an Surah 22, verses 52-53

We have completed 34 years since the date of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s departure on February 25, 1975. Is there a connection with this number of years to the Supreme Wisdom Book of Lessons assigned to all new converts of the Nation of Islam in America? We have an assignment identified as the Problem Book, which contains exactly 34 problems. If we take each problem to represent a year in the calculation of time, then these 34 problems represents 34 years. The first 34 years of the 20th Century, tallies with the time in which Master W. Fard Muhammad made himself known and announced his appearance in America on July 4, 1930.

Within 3-1/2 to 4 years he raised the Honorable Elijah Muhammad as the 1st begotten of our dead nation. He departed exactly in the year 1934. Would this number 34 be calculated at the end of the time given for the mental resurrection of our dead Nation, which would include the grace period extended under the spiritual work of his greatest helper the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan? Was he not chosen by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to take his place in his absence? “And We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed them with ten, so the appointed time of his Lord was complete forty nights. And Moses said to his brother Aaron: Take my place among my people, and act well and follow not the way of the mischief-makers.”–Holy Qur’an Surah 7, verse 142

In 13 paragraphs given to the early laborers in Detroit, Michigan in the early 1930’s prior to the departure of Master Fard Muhammad in 1934 we are given instructions to guide us into a deeper understanding of our role and mission in the spiritual resurrection of our Lost Found Nation. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was a sign to work exactly 40 years from the time he took flight from the City of Detroit on the heels of a death plot in 1935. This is the prophetic period in which he traveled up and down the east coast until his arrest in Washington, D.C. in 1942. In the Theology Time Lecture series by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad he appointed the Honorable Minister Farrakhan to take his place among the people until his return. If we count his return to tally with these 34 years, then the year 2009 in which we live could be the beginning period of his communication and preparation for his return.

The study of the 34 problems gives us the keys to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s escape from a death plot. Paragraph #2 gives us this key in which we read the following words: “The enemy, then, tried to stop every Muslim from helping the Apostle and said he should be killed. Then Allah Challenged the enemy to do so, to leave not a stone unturned in trying. This is in the 34 Problems that you have if you understand.”

Are these same words applicable to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan today? Returning to the Theology of Time, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad made a reference to his escape but could only transmit to us some information concerning what was about to take place. In those lectures he makes several references to this event by stating that he was in the circle of the 12 scientist and of the 7 powerful angels, and furthermore, that they were present to let him know that when the time came they were there to protect him against his enemies.

In a letter that was written to Brother Jabril Muhammad from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad on November 25, 1966, he shared words with him that describes an aspect of his departure. I will share some of those words at this time. “… and again in Daniel it says in the night they came and they took the prey away and in Isaiah he makes mention not of death, but of a taking away and escape of the Messenger from a death plot against him, by the angels (smile). … In the Psalms prophecy, he was taken under a cover of darkness while the enemies were after him, God made the heavens a dark thickness of clouds, and under cover of this darkness, God came down and picked him up…”

In the early of mid-1980’s, prior to 1984, I dreamed of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad seated at the head chair in the small dining room off from the kitchen in the Palace. Several persons were seated with him among them the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. When I entered the room in surprise he asked me to be seated in the chair next to him at his side. He then asked me to question him on any subject that I desired. I responded with the following question: “I have always wanted to know the scientific explanation of how you escaped?” He answered with a smile, “Oh that was easy, they came and took me away to a certain place and from there to yet another place.”

There is another part of this same dream that I will share with our readers at another time, but needless to say, one can see how this dream perfectly matches with his words written in the letter to Brother Jabril Muhammad on this same subject of how the Honorable Elijah Muhammad escaped from a death plot. Is this same reality about to visit the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan?

“And that those who have been given knowledge may know that it is the Truth from thy Lord, so they should believe in it that their hearts may be lowly before Him. And surely Allah is the Guide of those who believe, into a right path. And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt concerning it, until the Hour overtakes them suddenly, or there comes to them the chastisement of a destructive day.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 22, verses 54-55

The Christian race has shortened the lives of nations which follow its way of civilization. The so-called American Negroes—the lost and found members of the nation (the Black nation) the first and the last—have been used for experimental purposes. They have suffered every evil thing or idea that entered the heart of the slavemaster and his children. This is going on to-day, as never before in a wise and scientific way.

Before the White man was made, the Black man was known to live approximately a thousand years. He ate the right food and ate it at the right time.

Our stomachs are what we make them. If they call for food every two or three hours, we make a habit of feeding them every two or three hours. If we don’t make a habit of feeding our stomachs every two or three hours, they will not call for it. We are the God of our own appetite and what we eat.

Remember the prophecy of Jesus: he came to give us life and more life abundantly. He cannot give us more life if we will not protect our life against its enemies.

DO NOT try to eat so many different things. One or two good things are all right, even just milk and bread—but it has been tampered with. It is hard to get a pure glass of milk. It is hard to get a pure piece of whole wheat bread.

They tamper with everything, without any just cause. So, do the best you can and eat one meal a day. You will live longer.

Eat one meal once every twenty-four (24) hours and eat the right food.

Get away from eating a lot of greasy foods and eat more vegetables and fruits.

Do not eat freshly-baked bread or freshly-baked cakes.

EAT ONE MEAL A DAY.

They deceived the very people of Paradise (Bible, Gen. 3:13). They killed their own brother (Gen. 4:8). The innocent earth’s blood (Gen. 4:10) revealed it to its Maker (thy brother’ blood crieth unto me from the ground). The very earth, the soil of America, soaked with the innocent blood of the so-called Negroes shed by this race of devils, now crieth out to its Maker for her burden of carrying the innocent blood of the righteous slain upon her. Let us take a look at the devil’s creation from the teaching of the Holy Qur’an.

“And when your Lord said to the angels, I am going to place in the earth one who shall rule, the angels said: “What will Thou place in it such as shall make mischief in it and shed blood, we celebrate Thy praise and extol Thy holiness” (Holy Qur’an Sharrieff 2:30).

This devil race has and still is doing just that–making mischief and shedding blood of the black nation whom they were grafted from. Your Lord said to the angels, “Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape” (Holy Qur’an Sharrieff, 15:28).

The essence of black mud (the black nation) mentioned is only symbolic, which actually means the sperm of the black nation, and they refused to recognize the black nation as their equal though they were made from and by a black scientist (named Yakub). They can never see their way in submitting to Allah and the religion Islam and His prophets.

The slave-master’s every cry is to beat–beat–kill–kill–the so-called Negroes. Maybe the day has arrived that Allah will return to the devils–that which they have been so anxious to pour on the poor innocent so-called Negroes. Allah will give you your own blood to drink like water and your arms and allies will not help you against him (Rev. 16:6).

The heads and bodies of the so-called Negroes are used to test the clubs and guns of the devils, and yet the poor, foolish, so-called Negroes admire the devils regardless to how they are treated.

America is now under Divine Plagues. One will come after the other until she is destroyed. Allah has said it.

“Aaron was given a hard time by the people after Moses left.”

Why do we celebrate, or at least observe, anniversaries? As the month of August was ending, I thought, in a somewhat deeper way, of a very significant event, that occurred 26 years ago and its implications for the future. It was the rise and the stand of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. This occurred during the first or second week of September 1977.

Minister Farrakhan’s rise was the fulfillment of what was written of him, according to the scriptures. So, if you see his person, rise, teaching and work in the light of the proper interpretation of the scriptures, you see him properly–or as he is.

I’ve witnessed, in this column for years, that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad knew–from the early 1930s onward–that one day he would meet a man who would fully be to him, as Aaron was to Moses; as Paul was by Jesus; as Ali and certain other of Muhammad’s followers were by him–and at a certain point, grow to become even closer to him than those chief disciples were to those worthy servants of Allah.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was taught the proper interpretation of the scriptures by his Teacher, Master Fard Muhammad. These books contain the description of Minister Farrakhan and the work he was to do, as his chief helper after God Himself.

As the Honorable Elijah Muhammad became wiser to the truth of himself, he became wiser in the knowledge of the man who would be this special helper to him. The truth of this helper came to him in more than one way–all divine. For example, realizing that he was the man like Moses, it was not hard for him to read the characteristics of the man who would be to him as Aaron was to Moses, in the scriptures.

He prayed for this particular helper, as it was written he would do. Then, in his Saviour’s Day speech of 1954, he said that, “we have been so greatly misunderstood that I desire that Allah send to me a little helper. For 22 years I have worked hard wherever I was or may be to try to get into your ears and into your hearts the truth that Allah has revealed to me.”

One year later, in celebration of Saviour’s Day 1955, that “helper” was in the audience. By a prior arrangement that would allow him to recognize this man, whom he knew, by the word of Allah, was the one he was expecting, he recognized this “helper” on first sight, just as he recognized his Teacher on first sight in September of 1931. Remember, he was much wiser in 1955 than in 1931.

He verbally gave him the essence of his assignment, while looking directly at him, in the presence of the audience, who was not to understand the significance back then. That would come many years later. From that year on, Minister Farrakhan has been doing his assignment, which he was born to do.

We cannot learn what we’re born to do trying to be someone else. Jealousy and envy stunts our growth. None can really develop, divinely, while filled with these spiritual diseases,  because today,  to learn who you are means to learn your divinity.

Minister Farrakhan is leading us all into a period of fasting and praying, symbolized in the scriptures as the putting on of “sack cloth and ashes.”

He is urging us to heed the warnings of the Holy Qur’an (Bible, too) of a time when “no excuse … will avail …”; “nor will they be invited (then) to seek grace (by repentance).” It’s a day when “they will not be allowed to make amends.” On that day “their excuse shall not profit” them “nor shall they be regarded with goodwill.” No “apology, on that day will” be accepted “nor will they be excused.” [30:56, 57, depending on translation.]

To avert this for ourselves, we must heed  The Final Call,  issued by Minister Farrakhan on God’s authority.

The Holy Qur’an often says that Allah says, without reservation, that at the end He will judge between us to resolve all disputes, differences and the like. We’ve been living in that day, since the early ’30s. All have that chance to understand His truths and get on His right side. Then He comes again to finally judge how we took the wisdom of His judgment. We’re all but there.

“We today, 6,000 years from the beginning of this world, are disputing with one another on who is who and what is what. But the wisest step taken to put an end to this disputing was taken by God, Himself, in the words: ‘Accept your own and be yourself.’ ” (Message to the Blackman)

This wisdom serves as a major key to ending every kind of dispute and would make it easier for us to learn our talents, grow and, at the same time, help each other in this regard–which is our divine duty. This wisdom also enables us to learn from the example–divinely given in Minister Farrakhan–how to discover our talents, use and develop them.

Bluntly, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad has said that if we couldn’t understand him, we would not understand, even if God spoke to us. As a people, we blew it!

Before he left, he prepared Minister Farrakhan to sit in his seat. One day, he told him that only Allah could have made him to put the teachings together, in the way that he did and that Allah made him (the Minister) for him. He was made for us, too. Only the ungrateful deny this.

Now, after 40 years of his teacher’s work, and 26 years of Minister Farrakhan’s work, none can say we don’t understand God’s truth and will for us today.

Minister Farrakhan was guided to institute Saviour’s Day, honoring his teacher and his teacher’s Teacher. He calls both these days: Saviours’ Day. Through this, he is also teaching us who we are and is calling us to our calling.

We are to use our talents as saviours; build a nation under divine guidance and to help others earth-wide into God’s supreme wisdom and righteousness, to build a new heaven and a new earth, which will last forever. This process has already begun and is being guided by Him, Who cannot be overcome.

You are not the bad things that happened to you. You are what you are in terms of your nature, which you cannot change. You cannot become who you are without divine guidance, especially now that God is present, any more than you can walk in the day and ignore the sun.

Minister Farrakhan’s STUDY GUIDES can help us really benefit from the LESSONS and the overall revelation of the Messiah–the Honorable Elijah Muhammad– who is very much physically alive, well and in power!

The Holy Qur’an tells us: “they killed him not … but he was made to appear to them as such.” Allah lifted him up into His presence and “there is none of the people of the book but will believe this before his death.” Whose death?
